When you promote altcoins or ICO bounties, especially scam projects or shit ones, you gradually become familiar with them.
Maybe, just maybe, you can luckily with some bounties, and got huge money from them.
But, what's next, due to your familiarity with such campaigns, such projects, you probably reinvest money you earn from them to other projects, other ICOs. If you still don't have skills to detect scam projects, at the end you will use money earned from scam projects to reinvest into other scam projects.
The final result is you lose them all, and got nothing for all your works, and your time.

So, it's better to join bounties that pay for participants via bitcoin because it might help you to avoid all bad things written above.

I would use myself as a point of reference. I had previously  always engaged in ico bounties but I was battling with my chances of earning there around late last year things where getting bad. Tokens where not having any value anymore bounty management where not keeping to there words.  So I have decided to give it a break and try my hands on bitcoin paying bounties

This is a perfect summary of the difference between campaigns which pay in established coins (predominantly bitcoin, but also a few in ethereum), and campaigns which pay in a newly created altcoin or token. When paying in a new coin/token which has just been created, and the creators hold the full supply (or majority thereof), they are risking nothing. There is no financial incentive for them to employ a good manager, select the best posters, or cut down on spam. They can pay as many users as they like for any old spam, because they can just create the payment medium at will out of thin air, whereas campaigns which are using an established coin to pay are generally more selective and value quality over sheer volume.

The full blame doesn't lie with the users, though. Sure, they should be more selective at which new trash coin they agree to promote and be "paid" in, but we should also be doing more as a forum to limit these campaigns. There's a great sticky thread here (Signature Campaign Guidelines (read this before starting or joining a campaign)), which unfortunately is completely ignored by users and mods alike. Being more forthcoming with bans for both spamming users and spamming campaigns would go a long way to cleaning up the forum.

Well I think there are only two kinds of bounties here and these are the follows:

A. BOUNTIES that uses REWARDS - Usually it uses tokens  and consider it as a rewards to participting bounty hunters. It may be soon exchange to money or it could not depending on the situation if the project is scam or not. Some of the rewards were also worth it or even surpass the expectation of a bounty hunter after earning huge with the rewards. In short it is uncertain to earn in this kind of bounty.

B. BOUNTIES that PAYS - This usually bounty campaign that pays real crypto like BTC, ETH or other strong crypto listed already in the market and ready to be converted to fiat money.

The difference is really huge for one does pay surely and the other that does only give rewards. Thus it divides bounty hunters with their decision in joining bounty campaign.

In the end whatever kind of bounty that a bounty hunter join if he/she is really lucky then he/she will surely earn.

This is why many are joining and sticking in the bitcointalk forum because every users has the chance to earn. This is why I love this forum. LOL!

Here's my definition on what bounties offered in this forum.

Signature campaign - A weekly payment for participants. In this kind of campaign, participant must wear appropriate signature and avatar(if they could Full Member and above). Mostly, signature campaigns are found at this side of this forum. Paid in BTC.

Bounties - Compose of different campaigns. Different campaigns includes:
  • Signature campaign
  • Social Media Campaign
  • Blog Writting
  • YouTube Campaign
  • Reddit Campaign
  • Telegram Campaign
Yes, you see it right, there is a signature campaign in bounties. Mostly bounties are paying with their tokens. Bounties have percentages in which the token allocated for the bounty. For example the whole token allocated is 600,000 r1a2ken(RKEN). Each token is 1 dollar each. For signature campaign the allocated percentage is 25%. For, Social Media Campaign the allocated percentage is 15% and so on. You can see a lot of bounties in this section.

Campaigns paid in bitcoin has good things for both participants in particular, and for the forum in general.

For the forum's benefits:
Btc-paid campaigns are competitive ones, so only constructive users can join.
At least they have to satisfy minimum earned merits to apply.
After get acceptance, they have to keep their post quality at high, or at least at acceptable level.
If they don't keep their post quality at acceptable level, managers will kicked them out.

For participants' benefits:
Such campaigns help them to maintain the post quality level, or improve it considerable.
In long term, it will help them to get merits, and rank up.

When writing on signature campaign and it involves bitcoin don't use bounty it's kinda disrespectful 😁, just say Paid signature campaign or Bitcoin signature campaign those who know what you're talking about will understand don't add "bounty" leave the bounty for altcoin related campaigns.

You mean like social media bounties? Sounds funny you trying to compare those with (BTC) paid signature campaign. That's too inferior sorry if I missed something in you post (because I just skimmed through the post).

I beg to differ on some of those accounts. I don’t know what bounties managed and run outside of the forum look like, but as to those managed and run within:

- Some bounty managers look after their reputation, and therefore do their best to represent campaigns, which seem decent enough. Nevertheless, many bounty manager create accounts to run a Campaign, without baring any clear prior experience not having a ranked account.

Looking over the first page of Bounties right now, half of the campaigns are run by accounts that are either Newbie (Copper) Members or Jr. Members.

- Campaign payment is very often at the end of the campaign/ICO, and in their token. There are some that pay in BTC, but those are scarce.

- Posting quality is not a concert in general, and although it should be. That is only a common denominator of the best paid campaigns (generally in BTC).

- Bounties are normally tied to an ICO, and therefore last thoroughout.

The real difference between campaigns, as I see it, is between those that pay in BTC and those that pay in Tokens.

When a campaign pays in BTC:
-   They have put something costly at stake (BTC).
-   They tend to be represented by renowned experienced manager.
-   The managers are selective of their participants (screening process).
-   Posting quality is often supervised.
-   Payment is frequent (weekly, every two weeks or so, etc.).
-   There is a fair share of competition to get into those campaigns.

When a campaign pays in Tokens:
-   They haven’t put something costly at stake (Tokens).
-   Managers can be experienced, but the majority are run by beginners.
-   The managers barely screen candidates, it at all.
-   Posting quality is overlooked in general, and quantity is what counts for visibility.
-   Payment is often at end of campaign.
-   It is not too difficult to get into those campaigns (a bit tougher for the higher ranks if there is a limit of vacancies).

The above is not a paramount maximum, but rather an assessable general impression. While the former (BTC Campaings) represent a sure thing, the latter (Token Campaigns) are a roll of a dice.

Everyone need that extra gain that extra money, that extra fund, and that precious bitcoin. Well there is nothing wrong in wanting them all and more but you just have to do it the right and healthy way.

We all know by now that bounty is another way of earning from the cryptocurrency there are numerous bounties out there find a good one is like looking for a needle in a hay stack. a huge percentage of them a scams, worthless and time wasting.

I would point out few factors and compare between bounties advertised here and bounties outside the forum

       Management
*#bounties token paying ---- token bounty managers really don't pay attention to there reputation and some are fraudster they pick of any project and organise a bounty do poorly managed some delay or do not pay. And most times the bounty hunters end up on a sad mood

*# bounties bitcoin paying --- bounty mangers here are very careful of there reputation because they use there account to work and if they are found guilty risk getting a red(negative) tag on the account. Mangers here are more active and focused

         Payment
*#bounties token paying ---- payment of bounties outside the forum usually delays or are not even forth coming and few of them pays you in a tangible coin like bitcoin, ethereum etc rather they pay you in tokens that are most times worthless

*#bounties bitcoin paying ----- very often payment are made in a week interval and are very prompt with out much hassles and also payments are made in tangible coins that has value

In respect to developing users and the forum
*# bounties token paying --- bounties token paying, the forum are really selfish only think about the project and themselves they don't care about the bounty hunters development or the forum some ask you to make some huge bounty report pyramids that causes and eyesore And makes hunters account and the forum filled with unhealthy spam post.

*#bounties bitcoin paying ---- are very much concerned about quality posting and this can increase hunters zeal to make constructive post other wise risk getting kicked out and on the other hand makes the forum healthy..

       Durability
*#bounties token paying ---- bounties here are mostly ico and are not durable limited to the length of the ico so are not even certain because some projects never makes it out of ico.

*#bounties bitcoin paying signature ----- are durable and are most times not linked to an ico so are also very certain and direct.

If you are interested in gaining from the forum it's best to do it the right way.
