All cryptos are FIAT digital currency. Do not use.
I have old 8600gt
will it work together ?

Have you tried to create a fake display ?

-right click the desktop  --> screen resolution -->> detect -->> duplicate/extend this display

Then hit apply and ok.

You can try this software http://lucidlogix.com/product-virtu-gpu.html

Maybe this will help. You can download a trial version and check it out.

Had the same problem with Haswell HD4600 and 2x 7950, only solution so far (partial) is when windows boot (win 8 atm) switch hdmi or rgb cable to ATI (if display don`t wake up, do a device manager search for new hw) use sapphire trixx or MSI afterburner and set desired GPU/MEM and voltages to 7950, switch hdmi cable back to Intel and only then start Cgminer

The OC clock and GPU voltage will stick to 7950 and CGminer will work just will not report or control GPU/FAN... also this way you can lower voltage a bit more then usual because ATI driver is not used by windows GUI....

For temp, fan, voltage reading Aida 64 can be used... and it will work

try uninstalling the catalyst control center itself(if you have another overclocking program and cgminer it isn't necessary, just bloatware) and using sapphire trixx.  Also in bios is IGPU Multi-Monitor enabled?

As a last resort, you could try blocking windows from disabling the ATI card "to save power". Go to Device Manager --> Display Adapters and  find your ATI card. Now get into it's properties and see if you have any "Power management" stuff around there. If you do, untick the checkbox that says "Allow windows to turn off this device to save power" or something like it. See if it works now, when you plug the lcd back into the intel onboard socket.

Let me know if that helped.

Yeah it'll work 100%

Some people don't like running ATI and nVidia drivers together, but I've never has a problem with it.  Especially something as old as the 8600GT - Windows will have it's own driver for it, so you don't need to install all the nVidia crap.

I did use a nVidia GT610 as my "desktop" card for a while, with two ATI cards mining, but I moved to the HD7750 as the GT610's heatsink was blocking a precious slot (double slot passive cooled Gigabyte GT610).  The GT610 is just a renamed GT430, so Windows 7 has it's own drivers, no need for installing anything else.

You can't do what you think you can do.  If you're using the Intel graphics, you can't really do much with the ATI card. CCC only works on the primary display.

Your only real option is to buy a really cheap ATI card (HD6450 or something) and pop it in another slot, disabling the Intel video completely.  Use the HD6450 to drive your display.  Though CCC only seems to work on the primary card, you will still be able to overclock etc using cgminer.

I use a HD7750 to drive my monitor, with a HD7750, HD6970 and HD5870 in the other slots.  If I want to use the computer, I just stop the HD7750 from hashing, which works a treat.  When I'm not using the computer, I let the 7750 hash.  By using the slowest card, I don't lose much when I stop it while using the PC.

i have two monitors plugged in so it is not dummy related
disabling intelhd is strange,

to be clear
i need to use intel hd 4000 as main display and have full access to overclocking fan temps in radeon 7950

problem is when intelhd is primary ccc drivers are stripped

I third the dummy plug idea. Also, disable you onboard graphics. Speaking from my experience with my rigs that each use 2 MSI Frozor III 7950's, unless I disable my onboard graphics, and use dummy plugs, one on each video card, I get BSOD's every time my miner starts, and that's with the latest greatest driver from AMD, and the latest version of cgminer as of 05/07/13.

Hope it helps!

I second the dummy plug suggestion, probably just disabling the card since it thinks there is no display attached.

do you have anything plugged into the gpu? sounds like you might need a dummy plug. http://www.overclock.net/t/384733/the-30-second-dummy-plug
otherwise it wont detect that the gpu is supposed to be active. you can also run a cable from your gpu to the monitor or a tv or something too.  though dummy plug is easier.

i did the same but when i start hashing with cc enabled and i switch display by putting lcd into intelhd hashingh stops cgminer fr when i restart hashing ccc is gone so no fan temp control

when i boot from intelhd plugged and in bios pcie primary hashing is only 80khs lol

tried everything i am stuck

am i missing something or just ccc enabled and intelhd primary is impossible?

best what i achieved is oc hashing but no fan temp control with annoying combinations at boot

if i boot on the motherboard, catalyst is indeed empty. no hardware found.
booted on the 7870. catalyst ok and then pluged my monitor to the motherboard. put it on primary display. have catalyst AND the monitor plugged to the MB.
i have an active DP to DVI on the gfx card and used it to boot. Do not know if this can help.

hi
i have such average rig, brand new

asrock z77 extreme4
i5 3570k
sapphire 7950 boost

i use it for programming, gaming, cracking passwords and mining

if i use ati as main display i can overclock card in cgminer (1050/1500) 620khs
unfortunatelly system is laggy at decent intensity

so in bios i have set integrated video as primary display

unfortunatelly i cant use cc drivers, overdrive etc cause windows is not recognizing it (win7 64)
cgiminer cant monitor temps and fan just standard hashing at 550khs

how to force windows to load full ati driver when main driver is intel hd?

i use cat13.5 beta,  newest sdk and newest intel hd drivers
i have 2 displays each connected so it is not fault of lack of dummy

how to solve it?
i
