I don't know when people will realise that the spammers are  the Achilles heels of bounties program, but it has been proven to be success, Antshares, ICONOMI, DECENT etc. are good  recent examples. If the developers are getting the expected results they have nothing to worry about but the bounty hunters

Sig campaign is best IMO it makes you really big investors pool in short time.
Those ICO owners would never get such funding using any google adds or other marketing tricks Cheesy...
Only people from BTTtalk invest in great numbers.
ICONOMI 1-2 week with bonus 4.9m $ Cheesy... other 4 weeks 0,6m while number of twitter and fake facebook raised dramatically.
And such social potential have bringerd close to 0 output at end.

Translations as allways i think should ne even review by native. You have list of native and those folks get paid lets say 0.1 BTC per review they mark mistakes
And then a translation is ready ^^ no random shit like we have today.

I think also those translation service for ANN threads are doesn't need by them since local's in this furom mostly doesn't visited their own subfurom and as you can see theirs only fee inquiry in that thread or shall we say it is just a farming thread by local posters to raise their post count, and the only thing will do successfull result is twitter and sig campaign and the bounty hunter are really helpfull for that since they are the one who's gonna spread the word about that coin.

All I seem to see now on new ANN's is ( awaiting bounties, will there be a bounty ) etc etc.

Other than annoying the hell out of me, are they even worth it ?

I get perhaps a few of them like twitter and FB bounties but do the translations really work ? I mean you pay someone to translate your ANN into Greek, Russian, Spanish or what ever but does it really help?

I have watched a few markets where a translation has just been done, and it hasn't improved the buy wall at all, then how do you know what the translation says, it could just say "this is a shit coin but dont say anything the OP thinks this is a full translation"

Nope I really don't get it...

Some languages are almost dead and their translated ANN's don't get even one reply, but major languages are totally worth it, for example my  Russian translation for XAUR gathered almost as much replies as the original thread.

Bounties are important for any new project , but the spammers hurt this fact , I think translation might help a lot of members who do not speak English very well , and here you can find people from all around the world , sure they will understand better if they read in thier native languages . Other kind of bounties like Twitter and Facebook attract a lot of spammers , but the honest supporters help with promoting the project as well .

I think translations are important to promote the project to people who don't speak English. But it depends on the population of each country.

Man when i read 90% translations in my native i don't know what the fuck thye were translating Cheesy...
they are chaotic no grammar. Full of BS mostly i talk about Polish one.
I can say this is BS Cheesy

Google translate?

in most cases shit payed shit google translations simple
most of people don't give a shit to that translations
they are unreadable, they google translate it correct only some grammar stuff but without hard work they put it on air.

at end you read and think what the shit coin is that... Cheesy token, coins, share ?

PS: professional translation cost ~500-1000$ who will pay that much?

Many local translator uses shitty google translated words and its clearly not their own mind words since it is deeply translated that not been used for interacting to any other people, so better for those who own an ANN thread they should hire a local reader so they can make sure that their ANN is translated so well and easy to be catch up by those who wants to read, but i don't do this translating job since it is like you support those shit scam coin existing these days.

Maybe campaign managers should get a list of proven translators for each language. It will boost the campaign rather than hurt it.

There some members that are more active on their local sections,so the translation really help a particular project to get traffic and attention from those local sections, some of the thread on our own local sections received a lot of response,so it really helps..

...

that is easy money fr people but for ICO makers is good investment making 100x return Cheesy

Transaltions are mostly USLESS Cheesy like twiter and facebook.
Only bttsignatures help to promote

FB is the useless, in our real friends, they do not know btc, how can they invest altcoin?

Translation works cause some ppl don't know English but know local languages.

Twitter should work well, can spread the words in crypto circle

Maybe it works a little. It helps those people who can't totally understand English, so if it is translated in their language they might be interested to read it or know more about it. The problem is, if it was not translated good (grammatically incorrect). I'm also thinking about that, on how the OP of the original thread knows if it was translated as what it's supposed to be or if they even check those translated threads.  Huh

Hi
I'm totally agree with your feeling. And some cases the quality of translation aren't even consumoable. Recently i was met one of them.
The project ICO still going on and already able to crate buzz in crypto land. Unfortunately, one of thier translation from English to .... figure out investment capital as a Nation capital
|
I think most of crypto learning recourses still remain in English only. And that is working as obstacle for mass people to learn about satoshi Nakamoto's unique creation.
But mostly what is going on name of translation only harming cryptocurrency future potential! And the time has come for projects creator to be insure about translation quality before accpecting from any submitors!
Yes, thier is also true and well crafted translators. And of course they deserve to be credited!

Thanks!
