What would you do if you've been promoting a project for over a month and the bounty manager refused to update spreadsheet? After getting in touch with admin on telegram channel they keep saying no update from team yet, what will be the best decision if you are in my shoe?
It seems you there in a difficult position and your patience is being tested. I think it's better to wait again and if there is still no update from the bounty manager or update from the team then I think  it's better to leave that's project because it could end in fraud. I say that because I've also ever is experienced the same fate as you.

Manager is the middle person here who connects participants to the team and project. Almost all managers are getting paid for their efforts and they are bound to help the participants.
Manager always should mention how he will do his part. Whether weekly update or monthly or after the completion of campaign.

but if the manager refuses to update the spreadsheet then at least it will be a more serious consideration because after all the manager must at least give a more detailed explanation of the project conditions that happen, because when everything has become something strange then at least we cannot expect more and more most likely they are scammers

You have done research on the project, the bounty, and the manager, does this mean that you will change your mind just because of this when this is an old practice and it's not a big issue at all, so many campaigns have done this in the past, I have joined one campaign and the campaign lasted for three months without update only on the final tally and everything are counted correctly and distributed properly, because the bounty manager is trusted.

only if its trusted but what if this also happens on the campaign or on the manager that is not really that trusted  ? for sure that you will be worried and in your mind you already suspect that it was scam  .  some of these are actually scam as i experience this scenario before but im still new on bounty hunting that time because i dont know if who is the trusted manager or not   . its not only the manager that you must take care of but also the owner or the project itself because the final decision are still from them  .

its normally thing. few bounty manager not update every week but prefer to update when bounty campaign end so better choice is stay keep posting and follow your bounty campaign. and make sure you do all requirements like minimum posting, and use signature till bounty end to get your reward from bounty
What if the bounty manager is known for abandoning spreadsheet in past bounties he managed and the bounty manager bitcointalk account has red trust as well can they be trusted?

If the manager who is known for leaving the spreadsheet then the manager knows that the bounty managed is a scam, the manager will not continue the spreadsheet because it will be a waste of their time.
With the red trust in the bounty menager you can judge for yourself because what I know is that there are red trust managers even they are trustworthy in managing their campaigns well sometimes like that still exists.
rarely bounty manager leave the project, maybe there is a bounty but it really scams. so you alright that do continue it just waste the time
i am not problem with bounty manager has red trust in their account during their do the task as a manager and will give reward for bounty hunter, few bounty manager get red trust in their account but till now they still trust

You need to get some timeline, usually the timeline is part of the rules when you joined the campaign, it should be their and you make it as an evidence if they will refuse to do their job, so you can make a scam accusation.

I noticed in some bounties I joined in the past, it says like this "bounty reward will be distributed 1 month after the project is listed" or some are even too specific, "reward will be distributed one month after the campaign is concluded".

Bounties that are built with a professional sense will always be updated about spreadsheets and what they have achieved and done for the project.
However, that does not mean spreadsheets do not update the project is bad, because the bounty is not over, so if I become you will continue to follow the bounty until it ends because a month is not a short time.
Just believe first before the bounty really ends.

the manager has full responsibility from the beginning to the end of the campaign, we need to differentiate between rejecting and waiting according to the manager's discretion, they also work to get results in the same project as the participant, if you are not satisfied with it, then there is no need to follow the manager who the same in another campaign.

if the prize project is undertaken by a trusted professional manager, I will not comment anything about the spreadsheet update and keep thinking positively, maybe the project manager is busy or indeed he does not update every week. but if the prize project is managed by a manager who does not have a good reputation, chances are the work we do does not produce anything so that no number of pegs is given to the spreadsheet

I will leave that bounty. Because without update I can't continue my work.Because this kind of project turned to scam or failed (Majority percent). Also few managers are lazy and not responsible that’s why it happen.
We have different take on this, I'm ok with only updating on a weekly basis, they don't have to, as long in the final tally and stakes distribution they are all correct and within the time frame of the promised distribution, I have encountered a bounty campaign that counted the stake in the last week of the campaign, but they all counted it right and distributed ahead of time.
Many will surely miss their stake in signature campaign because post can be removed at any time, I will just advice such bounty hunters in that position to make sure they post good posts to avoid missing stakes

Check the bounty information if they said that they are going to update this on a weekly basis, is there are none then you will have to wait for them to update it, and as long as your report is correct in their spreadsheet, and the project is legit you are still ok, they think it's better for them to do a report once or twice a month to save them time, they are giving participants some weeks to file a complaint if there is any.

The best decision to keep in touch with the bounty manager in case of long-running bounty campaigns. If there was no warning by the bounty manager about the length of the campaign, the extended bounty campaigns becomes really irritating. Better to ask from the bounty manager for laving the campaign after calculated stakes.

if the participant leaves the campaign abruptly and unconsciously follows a good campaign with the same manager a few months later, there will be no difference.

Important points remain in the promised distribution, stake is not very influential, especially if the manager handling the bounty has a good reputation, their weaknesses are not because they are lazy, but focus not only on one campaign and also not hiring teams to help make management more efficient.

It's normal I have been into a lot of bounty campaign where they only update the stakes once or twice in a month, some bounty managers are managing a lot of campaign and they want to do it once or twice, just make sure the bounty manager and the projects are all trusted, so you will not encounter problem later.

if all of those is good, then continue your work. if not, you should think to leave

basically, it is normal when BM wont update their spreadsheet
but dont worry, BM would update in the end of bounty
that's what I experience by following many bounties.

for me it depends on the manager who holds the project, if indeed they have good trust then I will believe even though the manager has not updated the spreadsheet because there are some managers who do updates at the end of the campaign.
Yes I second that some managers only updated member's stakes at the end of the campaign, they will just do so if the rules say that they are going to update the spreadsheets weekly, they are doing this, so they can address all complaints one time when they update the spreadsheet and not every week, check the trust of the manager even if they update it every week.

Update on the spreadsheet? If managers who are the ones that do control the counting then it his job not on the team but if the team has the control over those docs then
both you and the manager wont able to do anything yet it would depend on them on when they would like for it to be updated.Even if you do force out things
you wont still have any choice or theres nothing you can do but patiently wait and this is the part of risk as a bounty hunter.

In my opinion, just follow the game from the bounty manager. As long as he can be trusted and has a portfolio of bounties before, I don't think this will be a problem.
Because it could be that he also handles other bounties so it's hard to update the spreadsheet.
Several times I have gotten a bounty manager like that and there are no problems with the results. As long as we can still complain with clear reasons and evidence, BM will surely listen.

verry well said  bro  . same happen to me on my current campaign  .

on my camapign the manager here do also hold alot of projects and he is a trusted manager as he already complete previous campaigns on the past so i never worried when there is a delayed on payments but whats good about him is that he always updated the spreedsheets on time so that we workers can still post contiously  while waiting for our previous payments  .

The only option is to wait for the manager to update it, you cannot do anything since the manager has a control of spreadsheet unless the project owner change the manager.
If you are not comfortable you can join other bounties, actually its manager duty to always update because there are sometimes that post got deleted and it will not added to your stake if they will check it late.

Bounty manager can't do it by own. All scam accusation is going to project admin. So many projects didn't paid to bounty hunters, nothing is change in crypto. Alchemy is good project, in this situation you can't leave without update your stake. Same problem was in first round of alchemy project.

In my end, I was thinking that we are just working for nothing. That kind of answer form the admin it too obvious to see that they don't have a plan to update the spreadsheet, they'll just be making the participants stupid. I suggest not to continue promoting their project, it is probably a scam or already a dead project. Never waste your time dealing with them, you can find other bounties that surely pay for the participant and better look the name of BM manager also that handle the campaign.

You better leave if that's the case.

Bounty managers should be responsible in terms of updating your spreadsheets to track your progress weekly or monthly. If they are acting like that, do you think that it's sustainable for you to stay if that's the problem? if you are patient to wait for the random update, it's for you to decide.

But if you think that you deserve something better, leave.

Bounty period is a busy period for the team behind the project and managers that run their campaigns. There's a chance that
they are simply busy, but when you wait for more then a month for their reactions that says a lot about the team and managers.
In my experience when there are no answers from managers or their official team members for some time that means that the
team abandoned the project, they are far away with the money they collected from people who bought on private early sales.

It's bounty manager duty to update the spreadsheet but it seem like he wants to ask the dev team first before updating.

But since he hasn't updated that means the team has not responded his PMs yet. I would probably avoid these type of dev team because right now they already show the exact behavior of a scam type developer.  At least a team member will try to monitor the marketing of the project and if they aren't in the forum to tell bounty hunters, its not good.

I am quite annoyed if BM performance is slow in updating spreadsheet. Have you ever thought if the Stake update has to wait for a decision from the Team, reasons like this certainly don't make sense in our brains. I marked a slow performance BM so that I would not join a project that was managed in the future. some BM only take Money without working according to procedures.

On the other hand I am still waiting for the manager to update the spreadshet, so what else can we do if the team still does not provide the final results to the manager, we have to wait for it even though it is annoying. Indeed this team is a bit naughty and not transparent to participants, in my opinion this is a bad symptom, so we don't need to expect too much about projects like this. Probably not paying.

Lol, then what if they still refuse to update the sheet and in the end, you don't get paid because you didn't know if you still existed in the campaign or not. You would feel really bad and stupid at the same time for wasting your time for nothing at all! It is the job of the campaign manager to give some sort of updates at least every week to know your progress. Instead of keeping on posting, I would suggest you to move on to another campaign with a better manager.

well, honestly i can say that you supposed to check the past of the bounty manager in the beginning. because there are so many crap campaigns and also so many good campaigns with crap managers. you should consider this factor in the beginning before joining the campaign.
you can let the project team know about this issue. that is the only thing that you can do.

If there is a disconnect between the bounty manager and the project team, this may mean a sign of some future commotion in either the project or bounty, they may choose not to play by the rule, or the BM may be holding hostage. A good bounty manager must always be in talks with the project team. Not updating stakes is not really a big deal, provided things get sorted out in the future.

if the campaign is still ongoing, I don't mind spreadsheet that are not updated by the manager, but if the campaign has finished and the spreadsheet are not updated, usually some participants will urge the manager to update it immediately. Its nothing at this moment. When the bounties used to pay like 100-200$ for just posting tweet for a month, then also there were many managers and project teams which disqualified people for no reason. Personally, I just never expected more from these projects and didnt waste my time and efforts convincing these people. If they give stakes in the first week then only I would continue otherwise, I would just find a different one.

is this a hawk network project? but hopefully not, in my opinion the only way to deal with this is to be patient because surely every bounty manager certainly does not do an escrow on bounty rewards. so of course they will only know the orders of people who work for them (the team from some of project that held bounty), but sometimes I myself wonder why this is happening so much now before they did not discuss clarity of the allocation or the problem of reward that will be paid? , but you have to be careful because some of the current bounty managers are a bit assertive and if he hates you doing repeated questions, maybe he will get your name off the bounty list and that's not a good thing.

actually to know the spreadsheet update is the right of bounty participants, we have to ask if we really want to know. because if the spreadsheet is updated every week, bounty participants can also find information about the work they do and can make bounty participants also more excited to do their work.

What would you do if you've been promoting a project for over a month and the bounty manager refused to update spreadsheet? After getting in touch with admin on telegram channel they keep saying no update from team yet, what will be the best decision if you are in my shoe?
my advice for now is to leave it and stop following the bounty campaign. or look for another bounty campaign whose campaign duration is no more than a month, even if there are more than a month, look for a bounty manager that always updates the spreadsheet data. because if it's not like that, there will be data manipulation when the bounty campaign is finished, I ever feel like that before. so now, I've deciced to stop following the bounty campaign because the team is not cooperative and also the bounty manager doesn't care about the complaints of the participants.

During my early days into the forum I've experienced similar things. By that time we can wait until there is something positive, I've waited for months without getting the rewards. Those time spend have given some learning, and further whenever I join a bounty I used to move if there isn't no update for few weeks. Here however we request we're gonna get the same response stating no update from the team regarding bounty distribution.

You have been well advised, If you are used to some managers, you will know how they work. Some managers need patience, it could take them weeks to update but they will, some managers usually delay signature campaign updates. Over time you will understand them. They even have group they work with, some delegate the updates and may require reminding such manager often. My only fear in signature could be the regular delete of posts which may affect numbers of post count, so it is important that I make relevant posts to keep them available while the manager counts at any time.

I will quit the bounty.
1. Its likely the team has not paid the bounty manager
2. Its likely the bounty manager has lost direct contact with team and lastly, it's likely the team/project is a scam. Save yourself the pain and quit already.

There have been very many projects like that. Some have even been around for years, until now there was no payment whatsoever. Nothing can be done, except keep waiting and waiting. Because we promote projects is our choice from the start.

its normally thing. few bounty manager not update every week but prefer to update when bounty campaign end so better choice is stay keep posting and follow your bounty campaign. and make sure you do all requirements like minimum posting, and use signature till bounty end to get your reward from bounty

Bounty managers are of different types, some are very serious with their job and some are not, in your case just find out if the project is active, i mean good updates from the team if there is updates then there is hope that after bounty ends the spreadsheet will be updated

For this problem I don't need to be so panicked, because most likely the team is busy taking care of the others and if it is managed by the escrow you don't need to hesitate. indeed, if the spreadsheet is not updated it is quite confusing for bounty hunters, because of the thought of whether to get stake or not. if I myself are quite frustrated if the payment continues to be delayed, or absolutely not paid by the manager.

Actually, the bounty spreadsheet can be finished right with the manager, so after the bounty ends, the manager will definitely complete the spreadsheet and all the tokens will be listed there, but for the new distribution it is not the manager's business and the team is entitled, so if there is no update, it is better waiting that's all I can do.

Easy for me because bounty manager are different each others. As long the project is good i will keep join. For minimum post weekly, in case my post or the topic get deleted i will post more than required. Just post regularly and look for information in here, make respond if you agree or maybe disagree with something, and in weekly you will get posts more than it is required and you will be safe. By the way i joined some project that spreadsheet updated in the end, and i not get stake because do some mistakes. But if it is from my mistakes it is ok for me although it is look that i wasted my time.

The bounty hunters  just want the spreadsheet updated so that what they are doing are recorded. Its the job of bounty manager to update the spreadsheet and the team can be updated in the end of the campaign. The bounty hunters aren't yet asking for the pay, just just want an updated record so that their weekly stakes can be seen.
I think if it is not updated in the spreadsheet then we can demand that the manager update it immediately, because if the spreadsheet is updated every week then the participants can find out whether the work they are doing is appropriate or not, because if it is not updated I think it will be difficult to know the work has been done with good or not.

Be patient, I'm sure there is a reason for that. however, a manager's job is only to be a liaison between the main team (unless the manager is involved in the project). for now, you better wait, maybe there is something that makes the team hasn't updated the spreadsheet, even more, so it's just the beginning of the year. right now you just have to be patient waiting for the first team to respond to that.

every manager has characteristics and I think you should pay attention, in the past there were even managers who only updated spreadsheets when the campaign ended. In this case your position can only wait and that is the current system, your right is to keep asking, at least once a week to make sure the campaign is still running smoothly, or already looks problematic.

Managers are only responsible to run the bounty campaign. Serious manager will work properly. Maintaining bounty sheet, facebook and twitter promotions and help the participants are their actual task as manager. If your manager dont work properly that means he is not serious about his job. And if the team dont pressurize him to do his job, it seems the team is not serious also. Try to find out if the team is active with development or not. If they are still active, you may wait

Nearly some of the campaigns that I followed had managers in effect, so this is a natural thing and you don't need to worry about this, I used to worry, but after sharing and following a few campaigns I was calm and not in a hurry to conclude that the manager is not responsible answer. Hopefully with some advice from seniors and colleagues in this community you will be calm.

Actually we bounty hunters already know those bounty managers that are very good in terms of running the bounty campaign in which they are the one who have the good trust because they have so much projects that has been successfully from the past and we are just participating for those bounty managers that we already know so that it would be easy enough to approach those bounty managers to update the spreadsheet or ask when would probably the payment of our workings and so on. Those bounty managers are the one who have the initiative to update his/her participants in the bounty campaign in order for them to be more productive and etc.

Refused to update the spreadsheet? Or there is a delay?

If the bounty manager refuses to update the spreadsheet then you should not follow him anymore in his next campaign and put him on your list of blocked campaign managers. But, if it is the team that make the spreadsheet isn't update then you may wait then to update and probably leave then if no response for long time and find a better bounty campaign.

It is no way to choose the right bounty campaign nowdays so just move on and do deep research before join any campaign.

I will leave that bounty. Because without update I can't continue my work.Because this kind of project turned to scam or failed (Majority percent). Also few managers are lazy and not responsible that’s why it happen.

this only means that there are no concrete plan for the project you better leave it or waste your time promoting that project( this is only base on my experience but the decision will remains on your part), I already experienced that kind of situation before wherein there are no good answers from the team and from the bounty manager.

for me it depends on the manager who holds the project, if indeed they have good trust then I will believe even though the manager has not updated the spreadsheet because there are some managers who do updates at the end of the campaign.
