The amount of money an ICO gathers or whether if they are listed or not nowadays is not an ideal basis. I've been in a lot of project which has able to sell all their tokens and listed in a decent exchange, good to know they are still active and paid bounties, but I wasn't able to earn even 100$ after participating in their bpunty for almost 4 months.

Let's just face it, doing bounty nowadays is not as profitable as how it was. Most are scams and some has little value.

Your lucky because you recieve your coins with a value  . it does not matter at all if the value is only small but atleast its free  . you dont invest any capital with it but you only invest a little effort and time   .

i think the reason why the coins on bounties and airdrops have a lesser value is because of the bear market that we currently experience  . why cant we just hold the coins for a while and wait for the market to recover  . let see if the coins that we got will also recover  .

Almost ICO has their own bounty program, it is part of their strategy to spread the word of their projects and to gain investors. If you want to join a bounty, don't take it very seriously and don't expect that it will lift up your living status. You are joining the bounty, because you want to support the project. You can point out potential projects if you make a background checking and reviews, that would help you to identify if it is worthy.
It all depends on his plan and the type of projects he is promoting.  It is very clear that some people among us here has made significant amount from tokens we earned from bounty!  I will not be able to locate the thread again but I have read a testimony of a guy that has made $8000 through bounties and that is highly significant amount for those that are from third world countries.  In as much as bounties look as a waist of time I still believed that if op select good projects and genuine one to promote there is no way he will not make money.

For choosing a bounty, you must have to research as much as an investor do. You must have to check the project idea, whether it is something interesting or not, check the legitimacy of the team and last, of course check who is the bounty manager there. Only then, you can get a good bounty project.
Even if they are good enough they might not get huge chances of getting successful so if the project failed means we will get nothing.Choosing the best project will give the confidence for you but you also need to track how their sale is going if they are not getting enough participants then better stop promoting it.

If me usually i only look for bounty allocation. Even sometime project that i joined, not really good in market. About project legit or not, maybe you should look project that still hype even not really know what inside that project.

A lot of projects are failing these days and can't make a successful ICO. I want to discuss the reasons with you because it is frustrating.

First, I want to talk about RecordsKeeper project which seemed good but it failed to make any sales and had to return its sales which didn't pass 100 $ Smiley
sadly hilarious

One more project I joined its bounty and it only sold only 0.11 ETH in the second stage "BitFxt" and they must do something soon or they will fail.

Possible reasons:
I think the bounty manager has a role in this success or failure.
The company must advertise and don't depend on the bounty.
The project principle must be a little simple.
Simply, those projects' managers must think only on fairly convincing investors to buy the coins.

So, I had to change my strategy for choosing bounty campaigns. I was searching for near distribution or high bounty income. That is not working now.

Now, I think I should search for successful projects. Now, I check how much the project has sold or is it listed on an exchange or not.

What do you think? Please, share your view.

This post makes me feel like you have dedicated yourself to bounty hunting. No matter the strategy you use, it will never change the fact that bounty hunting is a blind job that may or may not pay you.

Why not look for a real job and just go for boutny as your part time?

There's a massive supply for bounties and looking for the legit ones and possible that will pay you much is difficult nowadays. It's not the same anymore like last year which is the glory days of ICO. Sad to say that the ICO days are near to its over.
Sadly yes. And so we need to change our strategy and making the bounty as your bread and butter will just make you more broke.

I would suggest that OP should look for another online jobs outside the forum, look in reddit or in upwork, there's a lot of job offer but of course it needs to have the knowledge and skills related to their offer. We should explore more and going outside of our box won't hurt at all.

Okay. You're welcome.  Wink

Your strategy to find a good ICO or project is good because we want assurance that the project will be have great future and it will listed immediately. There's a lot of project that have great future so I think bounty will be not unknown.

The advertisement is only to create attention to the investors about the project but they need to have some unique feature in that project which can convince the investors to invest on it or they will just fails as ICO you mentioned.Bounty manager's reputation may take place a part in the ICO program but all depends on the development team.

I know and I know it is very hard to find some good ICO too but I also know that it is not impossible , Even in this bearish market you can find some bounties that pay with bitcoin like chipmixer and also you can find some bounties that have been added to market like Suqa bounty that finished recently , just don't give up and search some more .

Securing yourself by having a real job should be your main and first priority.

This. Most hunter that I know have real job but then they leave it because bounty (in 2017) can give them a huge amount of money by doing simple task. But at this moment it is quite hard, especially if they only do social media bounties and didn't have any basic skills to analyze a potential of a bounty. Usually they just join every bounty, including the scam one.
I don't think so that most of them have real jobs.

They completely relying on the bounty task especially during the all time high days. The rewards are very sweet and can even support one's daily living but now it has changed. The market is suffering and the volume of scam ICOs and bounties have grown.

we should make this a part time job, we must have a real job besides just relying on ICO. to currently join ICO is not the right thing because the market conditions are very bad, we should not just depend on ICO.
In ICO market being a bounty hunter there's really no certain regular job that you'll get with it.

And these bounties that most are relying on won't stay forever, the sad thing is there were many stories that has been shared and they were not paid, got scammed by the project they enrolled with. Securing yourself by having a real job should be your main and first priority.

You cant actually know or can precisely predict which project would fail or would able to succeed into their sale.Lets say you do find out for those who have sell off tokens
and reach their cap but doesnt mean it can already give you out an assurance that can give you some profits on bounty hunting yet these projects wont be known if their
tokens can able to push up on exchangers and getting some value. Some or most of them do still end up to be abandoned.

First of all, please try to use normal font.

Now, I think I should search for successful projects. Now, I check how much the project has sold or is it listed on an exchange or not.

The search should always start with projects with a good chance to succeed. A promise for high pay is just a promise and may be false, you know..
Just I am not convinced that the amounts sold and the listing to exchanges is the best measurement, I mean many projects may get listed late, many start advertising before the sales and you may lose the chance for a spot.

Usually the direction would be to check the team, the whitepaper, the idea and the chance for that idea to bring something useful that can be done (I know, it's far from easy). Some of those "background checks" can be done easier or not and may get you closer to what you can describe as successful.

Yes, I agree with you, but not in everything, look, really, a bounty company is a significant part of any project, but there are many other marketing tools that every project uses, and in general I think that it’s responsible for the success of the project the team, not the bounty managers of the companies and its members
