hi, there are some issues here which I believe was not properly ventilated - first there is no reason why manufacturers of the goods would want to pay for a token so that it can use your random number to track and have it validated by a consumer who also has to pay for a token to do this. Is on the block-chain so ? Blockchain is just a record or ledger on distributed database sitting in many servers. In this case the manufacturer of the product has their own database (customer data) and their unique codes for all their products so why do they need to put it on a distributed database, in short why do you pay $400 for a NIKE shoes and do not trust NIKE's database to confirm this ?

And why would NIKE pay a token to get a random number on top of its own tracking system to ensure its from NIKE when almost half the computers on the network can be anyone, and if so work against NIKE (ie that is the power of trustless system, you need more than 51%) Of course with Casper is proof of stake now, costs of ETH will go even higher (because the Foundation will pay at least 2% a year for validators) and this is ERC 20 right ?
