I have seen users who participate in these activities getting banned and have seen threads that promote these sort of activities getting thrashed but never have I seen a manager getting banned for this. Maybe OP got banned for copy-pasting, I could be wrong,so only mods/admins can tell.
We will move forward with whatever your decision may be! We are simply looking for some answers so we can avoid making the same mistakes in the future.
If you're perma-banned, you can never come back, thus no future. You should refrain from posting from any other alts or people who you work "with".

Let me cite the exact rule and why the account was banned, because I think this should be made very clear to avoid any complaints.

Incentivizing posting via low effort tasks (likes, follows, etc.) is NOT allowed

Quote from: mprep
Incentivizing posting within one or several threads via low effort tasks (e.g. signups or proof of participation for liking, following, subscribing, retweeting, tweeting a single tweet, joining a channel or group, etc.) is not allowed

Thus, something like #joined is not allowed. When you ask for more than that (i.e. tasks that require more effort than copying & pasting one's username/address/etc) then it is allowed:

Quote
Accepting signups or requiring proof of participation for tasks requiring substantial effort (e.g. signature campaign signups, weekly social media campaign reports, media (videos, images, articles, etc.) bounty signups, etc.) via a thread posted in Bounties (Altcoins) is allowed though.

Reports are allowed, though I believe every manager should go with either a form and/or making participants edit reports as opposed to quoting them.

I understand the reason one might want quoted reports (i.e. bounty thread being bumped) but that means having the board be even more overloaded.

A bounty manager who appears to be responsible for monitoring his spammers posting behaviour, and he doesn't know what merit is.
Yeah, it's gotten to the point of absurdity, where bitcointalk is just a place to advertise shitty ICOs.  People like OP don't care--or even know much about--the forum that they're using as their base of operations.  If it wasn't so frustrating, I'd probably laugh.

I agree with your statement that bounty managers need to be "reviewed".  I realize Theymos wants to keep things hands-off in the interest of freedom, but how bad does the quality have to get here before some rules are put into place, some restrictions on the people who facilitate the spamming?  OP doesn't even seem to know the basic rules, and certainly not the one that got him banned in the first place.

I was not even aware of the merit being given to the dentit account (nor do I know what merit does?)

Wow - another shocker. A bounty manager who appears to be responsible for monitoring his spammers posting behaviour, and he doesn't know what merit is.

It really is time that bounty managers were reviewed.

Zoonosis is another bounty manager who works in the industry and we collaborate and work together occasionally. He allowed me to use this account for the query. We also have employees who use the accounts. I was not even aware of the merit being given to the dentit account (nor do I know what merit does?)

I did not find anything in rules that says against account sharing but don't you think that account sharing is wrong.
Zoonosis can ask question on behalf of you but you are directly accessing Zoonosis account here.
You are saying you have employees that also shares the account. This raises very important question, whose activities caused the ban?
Yours activity or your employees activity that can have access to both the accounts. Do Zoonosis account require the same ban too ? Ban in this forum are not limited to account only but it is on the user and all its associated accounts.

Mods : Can we put some guidelines on Account sharing or is I am missing something?

Hey there! I am a bounty manager for several projects and for a long time and recently my account "DentIt" was banned for "incentivizing posting". (DentIt: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/dentit-369595)

If zoonosis and DentIt are both your accounts, why zoonosis is meriting DentIt?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=369595

Be careful or may get a red trust on this account....
Probably you were banned because you are not following rules, clearly.

Merit allows you to rank up. It's not allowed to give to your alt accounts.

Anyway, you should make clear that this is not your account.

How sure you are that you account has been banned for bounty management? After reading the post it seems you are emphasizing on bounty management as a reason. I am sure the reason of the ban is something else. May be plagiarism or spamming the forum from that account (which I can not spot clearly after looking at your post history) or unusual bumping. It could be any other reason but not for the bounty management.

It certainly cannot be anything else as all I do with the account is post bounty threads. They gave the reason don incentivizing posting, which I did not do Sad

I'm shocked that there are 25,000 bounty hunters here under just one of the managers here. No wonder we have a major problem with spam posting.

With some spammers using hundreds of accounts, those numbers are actually in 3 digits.

Practically that does not limit the work of manager here and I really anyone can handle this alone.

Hey there! I am a bounty manager for several projects and for a long time and recently my account "DentIt" was banned for "incentivizing posting". (DentIt: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/dentit-369595)

I am using the account of an associate of mine to post this question!

Recently in order to combat incredible amounts of fraudulent entries, we instituted a rule that for the Telegram Bounty Campaign, bitcointalk bounty hunters needed to confirm their participation with their own bitcointalk account with a post using #JOINTELEGRAM on the bounty thread itself. This would make it so that the bitcointalk account and its associated telegram account could be confirmed, and no fraud entries could get through. We would never incentivize posting anywhere on bitcointalk or otherwise, and we have never asked bounty hunters to post outside of the bounty thread; only in the bounty thread in order to confirm their participation and link their bitcointalk to their telegram to combat fraud.

I am very sorry if I broke any rules with that; I know a lot of other bounty managers use #ProofofAuthentication and other such posts, so I didn't know that I had done any damage or broken rules. If I could be informed as to what the issue was, and if there is any way that I can be given a warning instead of a ban, that would be great considering that account has quite a bit of responsibility and is important to us. We manage over 25,000 bounty hunters and have a great reputation with the bitcointalk members, and want to keep that great reputation alive and want to make sure we are able to answer questions and concerns from bounty hunters.

We will move forward with whatever your decision may be! We are simply looking for some answers so we can avoid making the same mistakes in the future.

Thanks!
