Well, you can install the K-Lite codec pack. It is completely safe and recognized by most media players. 99.999% of the media players will need no more codec files if you install it.
Please don't download any unknown or unfamiliar codec packs.

My wife really wants to see it, but is 8 months pregnant, on forced bedrest, and can barely move.
