Any chance of using a source code repository, such as GitHub?

No problem by me.

EDIT: There you have it: https://gitorious.org/bitcoin-payment-module-for-prestashop/walletbit

Ok. I've upgraded the PS too. Please give an address since I have not paid the pledge yet!

I suppose you can use the address that is listed on the right hand corner of the footer at WalletBit.com to send your pledge Wink

Thank you for the module. Please give me your address by pm so i can send you money. Thanks!

PS. It won't install on PrestaShop™ 1.4.0.17. I get "An error occurred while copying archive to module directory."

Didn't you say it should to work with 1.4.4? It's installed in 1.4.3, in my sites. 1.4.4 testing will come after i update my dev shop but it should work because from 1.4.3 to 1.4.4 there aren't many changes in the core that will affect modules or themes.

Hi, I pledge 2 BTC if the module can use bitcoind and 1BTC if it uses an online wallet.

Also I'll offer a gift from my shop (which is more for women, so the dev can give it to his mother/sister/wife/gf)

PS: Also has to be 1.4.4 compatible. Updating would be nice and I'll also pledge for any updates.

Kris, walletbit.com owner/manager will code the Prestashop module and the bounty will go to him as soon as it's finished.

Anybody else is willing to throw in a couple more $ or BTC into the bounty?

Is he? I was considering working on this after I get the SCI for bit-bank.org created.
If he is, though, I'm not sure if it's worth it.

Well, from the PM's we've been exchanging he said he would work on it. So I'm taking his word for it.
Honnestly, you have nothing to lose if you provide already made modules for the main web shop scripts, like osCommerce, prestashop, etc. because not everybody that has websites can code and make their own custom modules.

It's too bad that nobody else is willing to contribute some more money to the bounty. The worst part is that after the module is done lots of people will start using it for sure, because even if they don't have webshops, they will start building them when they have the modules.

I could easily have it done for myself by professional Prestashop developers, like i said in my OP, and don't care about the community, but i guess i'm not as greedy as others around here.

I know most people is not willing to contribute to bounties of this kind because of previous experiences with some dudes that code half-assed solutions that don't even work properly just for the bounty and after that they simply abandon development. Kris seems a very professional person and I'm almost sure he will present us with a good module.

The module is finished and the bounty was paid.

You can download it from https://alletbit.com/businesstools

Hope it will help someone!

Is anybody willing to code a Prestashop payment module for bitcoin?

I would prefer it to use http://walletbit.com .

It needs to be a fully working module with all the features that prestashop uses, not some lousy script that only works with half of the features or that can be exploited by skiddies.

I have a prestashop development environment that can be used by the person who is willing to take on this task.

I'll throw $150 to the Bounty.

For anybody interested: I have a quote from professional Prestashop developers to build a module for $170, but it would have a restrictive license and that way only I would be able to use it and that's not what I want. Unlike many of you I think the future of bitcoin passes by it being accepted by the most possible online merchants, not by how many registered users the exchanges have in their database...

Prestashop is used in 80.000 active shops, so, there is a very large user base that could get interested in something like this.

WARNING: Don't go around saying that i should use bitcoin for the bounty because i'm not feeling like to lower the bounty: I would need to transfer $ or € to an exchange and buy them(and that costs money), and bitcoin can be worth much now and worth nothing tomorrow or a month from now, so in $ it is a much more realistic value.

Thanks!
