@DarkDays - Yes, I agree, Fury needs a tune-up match before he gets to fight Wilder. I also believed that Wilder is more powerful that AJ. Only thing with AJ is that his like a version of Pacman in Heavyweight. Strong but also throws a lot of punch (volume puncher) for his size. So if Wilder and Fury clash in December its going to be a easy fight for Wilder. So the possibility of a super fight between Joshua and Wilder is likely to happen. They have been calling each other's out at the start of 2018 and a lot have been said. LOL, I even read that Joshua is willing to fight Wilder even if he losses to Fury, talk about mind games and trash-talking.  Grin

At the beginning of the fight, I thought that Povetkin can win it ...

Now waiting for the McGregor's fight!

I paid to watch this fight and I would say that it was not worth the money I spent. And I am glad that I didn't made any bets. Povetkin was definitely not prepared for this fight and he was only there for the money. He was OK for the first 2-3 rounds. After that it was a pretty one-sided match.

I lost money betting on Povetkin. Anyway, I didn't expected him to win. I was hoping for a miracle and that didn't happened. But at the same time, I expected Povetkin to put up a good fight, which he didn't.

I'm sure you know that risk on betting for Povetkin. But the lines are good, that is if he wins, and pulls a upset. Anyways, I wouldn't blame you for that, I know that every gamblers love to bet on underdogs and maybe the chance is very slim, but if you (or Povetkin) got lucky, its going to be a good payday for you.

I haven't seen the fight but on paper, its hard to go against AJ, he hits hard, his young, the champion and he has the tool to back up his claim. Although the last 2 fights are so-so performance, but this one, he did a good showing by taking down Povekin.

Now we have to wait for the next fight in Dec which is Wilder vs Fury. This is a comeback fight for Fury and Wilder has been chasing Joshua for reunification. I'm sure that the fight we wanted to see is Joshua vs Wilder so let's hope Wilder wins against Fury so it will be a Heavyweight match to watch next year.

Well, everybody is saying it's too soon for Fury, and I agree. His last two matches were very poor, he does not look ready to jump up to super elite level to throw down with Wilder. Personally, I think the Gypsy King is going to get KO'd by Wilder, it is just too soon, if he had another 3-4 fights he might be ready for the challenge, but right now I'm expectation devastation for team Fury.

The odds on him to win were pretty great to be honest, something like 100/1 betting on rounds, I bet on AJ to win in rounds 3-10 and only doubled my money, if that had been Povetkin you would have x20 your money or so. He was having some success in the early rounds, but he had too many disadvantages to pull out the victory. He wasted a lot of energy throwing and missing that left hook and became quite easy to predict by the middle rounds so it's no surprise AJ figured out his strategy and defended against it with a high right guard.

What's your take on the big heavyweights fight tonight?   AJ 1.1 is the obvious choice.  Maybe parlay material.

Round props are as follows,

over 8.5 2.35
under 8.5 1.63

Maybe a small risk on the over with some ethereum

Anthony was simply outstanding with his movements, punches and most important his attitude. He didn't let his inexperience gets in the way of his victory, as he was facing against an experienced boxer. When Anthony got the beating in the first round I thought he would loose, but he fought back in a way a champion should, and finally I saw a K.O. ending absolutely loved it.

I wouldn't say that AJ is really inexperience. He has grown a lot since taking the title from the Klitscho. This fight is really easy to call although Povetkin is dangerous in early rounds, if AJ can withstand it then the second half will be all AJ which we all witnessed. Next half of the draw is Wilder and Fury. That is more exciting and the winner will face AJ eventually.

Currently watching this right now, Povetkin is doing a good job but the cut above his eye is definitely going to slow him down. Looks like he's trying to KO Joshua with a left hook and left uppercut. Right now I have got it EVS, but AJ is likely to pull it back in the later rounds as Povetkins age begins to show, though AJ might lose power due to being so bulky.

I did not see the fight but I think AJ will win the game. I am also not a fan of both fighters that's why I am not getting on any of them.

And indeed, AJ did pull back in the later rounds with the 7th one being the decisive one. Though, Pv did a great job he fought well and I respect his willpower, for he went the second round after the knockdown!
