I agree with you and we know on certain fights on where Filipino boxers can really make out an upset match.We know on what Filipinos are capable of when it comes to Boxing which shouldnt really be taken off lightly.

Reach advantage and age advantage yes, Tanajara do have it but it wont really be enough nor he shouldnt be confident just because of those factors. experience is also a big deal plus the endurance.

Tanajara should expect that this fight wont be an easy one even if he do have some point of advantage.

I take no pride for being colonized but yes I can bet to Mercito Gesta. 32-3-3 is no dobt an impression record. The experience is there, he don't panic but even took his time to beat some of his opponents. I just hope he won't be a punching bag infront of Tanajara. Gesta has the habit of not lifting his hands and if he does it during the fight, the long arms of Tanajara will quickly take the opportunity to reach more jabs to his face.

I will bet on Mercito Gesta. It is in the blood of the Filipino of a fighting spirit. I saw lot of good boxers coming from around the world but mostly champions are comong from mexican blood and Filipino blood. Most likely mexican is the neigbor of spain to which colonized the Philippines for few decades. In short that we probably share the same fighting spirit.

Anyway, truly this guy is explosive and it will matter on practice and endurance. I do think that this guy still has it and could easily win this match.

You got it wrong, it's the other way around, Tanajara is taller and young and the reach advantage.

So Gesta is at a disadvantage here, that's why he is the underdog in this fight. But as you can see, you can't underestimate a boxer specially Filipinos even though the odds are against them. And even if their opponents are taller, they will find a way to win with their big heart.

And to add to that, most of Pacquiao's opponents has the ability to knock someone compared to Tanajara, this might be a different story for him. I really believe that Gesta has it all, he's just been used here as a stepping stone for Tanajara but Tanajara should be wary because his opponent is a Filipino boxer who has the ability to knock him down. And as per the record says Gesta have more chances to win.

It should be don't underestimate if your opponent is a Filipino boxer because if may surprise everyone, lol. Gesta is being use as stepping stone for Tanajara here but there are a high chance that No Mercy has other plans but to derail this fight. It is really a good thing to know that Filipino boxers are an undefeated destroyer. Most of the boxers who are undefeated was getting outboxed by a Filipino boxers because we all know that when it comes to a boxing ring, they are really passionate and determined to defeat his opponent for the sake of the title and his country.

For me, I think that Philippines is full of potential legendary boxers that will soon to be noticed in the future.


In terms of experience, Gesta can really dominate this undefeated boxer Tanajara, but for me experience is not the only factor that can make a boxer dominate his opponent. Tanajara is much younger and I believe that he is quicker than Gesta. But in terms of potential, i'm with this Filipino boxer, I'm not amazed with Tanajara's record.

I don't know why Tanajara is the overwhelming favorite Gesta used to be a champion he is not fatsy he can take a punch I have seen Tanajara fight and he is not really that explosives compared to Ryan Garcia, with all the bets going for Hector Tanajara, it's going to be a huge upset if Gesta wins here, bettors did not respect Gesta's vast experience.

It seems that both fighters have their own disadvantages inside the ring but what can I say experience does tell who you are today. I have a high hopes that Gesta has the better chance to win this fight since he got the experience plus a hand that could knock out an opponent. Tanajara's previous records tells that he didn't have any KO's although things would be different if both fighters develop something that could bring them to the glory. But I still choose Gesta.

I agree, all Filipino boxers are really that good and every fight is very exciting to watch. Mercito Gesta - I'm sure Filipino boxing fans knows who Gesta is, very powerful and explosive and once was touted to be the next boxer who will carry the torch for the Philippines.

Pros: Very experienced, power in both hands, fast and explosive
Cons: Gasses out in late rounds
Notable wins: Robert Manzanarez (vacant World Boxing Organisation NABO Light Title)

Gesta for sure will start very fast as usual and try to get this kid very uncomfortable, this is best time to really give Tanajara a beating and knock him or knock out for a win and test him. Otherwise if the fight progresses he will tire out in the latter round. Gesta has problems with tall fighters that's why he should really rough him up. If he is the underdog here then obviously my bet goes to him. But Tanajara is very dangerous and will use his jab to keep Gesta at bay.

Upset win is almost regular thing in boxing, not only for a Filipino boxer.

With the given style and attribute of Tanajara, the lack of power punch will somehow work for Gesta's style's advantage.  Even though the record made Gesta look like an underdog  , there is big possibility that Gesta has the advantage in this fight.

Indeed stamina will be the deciding factor for Gesta if the fight end via decision.   Several talented Filipino boxer had overlooked the stamina factor which ended badly for them.  I hope this will not be an issue for Gesta in this fight.

Gesta is like a bull when he fights. He'll keep charging and that's a pretty straight forward approach to cancel height and reach advantage of opponents. Tanajara isn't known for his KO power so that gives Gesta a good chance. Question is whether if he still have the stamina or not to keep the pace.

Casimero and Gesta is almost in the same age and also when it comes to experience and stats then they are just pretty much the same and i agree that they do have similarity when it comes to style but wont guarantee that
it would work on Tanajara.

Hector is still undefeated but basing up on experience then Gesta do have it and also when it comes to Knock out percentage then we can say that he dont really have that heavy punches compared to Gesta but he shouldnt take it lightly because one false move will surely cost him.

This Hector Tanajara has good footwork and timing in his punches but lacks a knockout punch like Ryan Garcia, Gesta has a good chance here I have seen him fight he is very unconventional fighter brought by his being a former mix martial artist, if Tanajara goes toe to toe he will be in trouble against Gesta, although a huge underdog I bet for Gesta here he can take a punch I have seen him on some of his fight, I hope he can pull one on this he has a lot of experience behind him..

Experienced gives him some edge but his fighting with a much younger and much taller
fighter, adding to that, Tanajara is the belt holder.


This is interesting as being underdog means that odd will be higher, giving those fans
a great value of money when Gesta luckily wins.

Based on the picture, he is the No Mercy. I'll wait for the odds to come out and I'll be thinking about to get into with the experience wise than records. Is this "no mercy" Gesta? If yes he slipped under the radar for sometime now isn't it? If I'm not mistaken, he was creating a name for himself in the US but I haven't check what happen to him. If he is the underdog then he is a live one here. He can surely be explosive and still be powerful and show the aggressiveness that once he had when he started his campaign in the US.

Just less than a week, Gesta will be showcasing his wares against an undefeated Hector Tanajara.

Based on the tale of the tape, Gesta is at the disadvantage side of it. But experience wise, Gesta got the upper hand and for me that is the most important thing to consider when betting in boxing.
