That whale is 14K USD richer today as Gonzales won the fight.

@Kemarit, yup this is the simplest way a whale will win big amount though very risky but the reward is worth the risk.

I'm following this card today because there's a Filipino boxer that is in the under card but unfortunately no odds on my bookies for that fight, i could have been a little richer today lol.

Clay “3rd Degree” Burns and Reymond Yanong made the most of their unexpected televised opportunity.

The pair of hard-luck junior welterweights offered plenty of action over the course of their six-round affair. In the end, it was who Yanong whom prevailed by split decision.

Yeah, it's a win-win situation for that un named whales.

It was unfortunate that we didn't see odds for another Filipino in the card, we could have won a bit, hahaha. I'm sure there could be more Filipinos line-up in the future so there will be opportunities for us to hit it big again.

He certainly knows what he is doing, he would not just throw that big money if he is not confident with that bet, but of course anything could go wrong as in boxing or even in other sports, upset happens. However, with that 6.4% return of bet, I think it's almost a win as Ruiz is the heavy favorites.

Or he could just throw that huge money because Ruiz is the overwhelming favourite and barring all circumstances, he could assure himself of a big payment, which eventually he did. Good win for this whale.

If we don't have enough bankroll, and we like to aim for a bigger return, then probably betting the opposite is what we will do.

Next fight, if there is a Filipino who likes to make a name for himself and would be underdog, then betting on him will be a win-win situation, just like what Plania did a couple of weeks back.

Are you willing to bet huge amount seeing the odds?
if you see them competing last night, I will place the biggest bet for Gonzalez-Ruiz.
In the 15-0 move, Gonzalez dropped Luis Porozo, in the second round, on the other hand Luis thought and retaliated in the fifth round, but in vain Luis had to fall again in the seventh round, this makes Gonzalez-Ruiz's chances of reaching the summit of Gonzalez's unanimous victory last night.

They both bet open up opportunities for gambling addicts who are called boxing gambling without name, unexpectedly, last night many bet rich gambling over a unanimous victory for Gonzalez-Ruiz.
for now Ruiz, making history in 2020, won a second victory, while Porozo 8-KO, was very regretted 29 defeat in the final match, all gambling bettors who sided with Gonzalez became rich.

If i have the money, why not  Grin.

Yeah, why not, as the saying goes, huge risk, huge rewards.  Grin

Per experience on gambling offline, those who have the money seldom bets on the underdog. In this case the guy is an absolute whale and that 14K usd winnings is not small at all and his $192K capital might be his accumulated profit from this style of betting. I think he started with small amount until he reached this level and when he lose, he might start all over again.

This is really the simplest way for whales to win big and then accumulate as it goes overtime. It will be interesting to see the outcome though. As a boxing fans, sometimes you don't need to bet, you just have to see what's going to happen and see if this whales win. We will find it out in the next 24 hours. I do hope that Ruiz will read this as well, it will be a big boost of confidence, or he will crack under pressure. LOL.

I'm not familiar with any of them as well. But perhaps the boxing whales really know a thing or two about this Gonzalez Ruiz and put a huge amount of $$$ for him to win.

But for us average Joe's and seeing that odds? No, will skipped it and will wait for more attractive odds specially if it involved name boxers. Boxing is moving forward in this new norm, so probably in the next coming months more exciting fights are line up for us. Not willing to take the risk even if I have money to bet now.

Ok, I'm not that really interested in this fight to be honest, but its good to have a discussion because of this bet from a gambling whale:

Vegas Bettor Risks $192K To Win $14K On Gonzalez-Ruiz To Win Thursday Night

Quote
An anonymous bettor in Las Vegas has A LOT of confidence in Orlando Gonzalez-Ruiz.

That unnamed gambler has wagered $192,001.30 on Gonzalez-Ruiz to win back only $14,763.33 if Gonzalez-Ruiz beats Luis Porozo in their eight-round featherweight fight Thursday night in Las Vegas. The wager was initially placed at MGM Grand’s sports book as part of a two-fight parlay that included heavyweight prospect Sonny Conto, but according to a story posted on the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s website it was reduced to a one-bout bet when Philadelphia’s Conto was scratched last week from Top Rank’s card Thursday night at MGM Grand Conference Center.

Perhaps this whale really missed boxing bet that's why he suddenly throw a lot of money on Orlando Gonzalez-Ruiz. Checking the odds at Nitro:

Gonzalez-Ruiz better be win here, Lol, otherwise it will be an upset and bettors are going to loss a lot of money here. I'm not gonna tail this whales, better wait for other good boxing matches. Of course I don't have that kind of money and I'm not willing to loss as well specially in this pandemic.
