Do you have a particular moderation policy that you disagree with (or that you would consider to be "censorship")?

From what I have personally observed, users have been able to freely discuss proposed forks and alternate implementations in the main Bitcoin sections, as opposed to the altcoin sections, which was a major claim of "censorship" in the past. I am not aware of any other claims of "censorship" that have any remote amount of credence -- at least not regarding moderation policies/actions on bitcointalk. There are some allegations of unwritten moderation polices that may amount to "censorship" however I have been unable to independently verify  these claims.

BU was being discussed in the main Bitcoin sections for months before USAF was even proposed, and in line with not "censoring" alternate implementations, I agree with allowing USAF to be discussed in the main Bitcoin sections.

Theymos (or any other moderator) having a particular stance on USAF (or any other proposal) does not amount to censorship. Theymos has the right to have an opinion on any given proposal....just like everyone else has the right to have their opinion regarding any given proposal

I believe theymos lifted the right nut after reading this thread, that's how scared he is now.
When will you people understand this is a private forum owned by a non governmental individual.
This isn't the court of law and every user will have to decide whether they want to stay or not
After they have their share of experience with administrator.
Take it or leave it is for every member to decide, members are guests and theymos is our host, you can't tell the host what to do and how to run his house.

Did I missed something? So far I didn't heard that someone was banned on bitcointalk only for his opinion, but I heard it happened on Reddit. So far it's word freedom on this forum and everyone is allowed to write their opinion. I think forum gives even too much freedom and trolls, scammers and paid shills are successfuly using it.
If don't like bitcointalk, then just leave it and never come back. Nobody is forcing you to use it.

Get your own forum, or better yet, get a fucking life.

I too consider the forum to be far too soft.
This forum is somewhere between liberalism and anarchy right now, and OP complains about nonexisting censorship. It isn't surprising though, if he's supportive of BU he's either a paid shill or completely delusional.

He even encourages evil UASF to attack Bitcoin by forcing users to kneel down to current Core.
The BIP148 UASF proposal has literally nothing to do with Bitcoin Core. You're an idiot.

Meta is a cesspit for trolls, haters & scammers complaining about some hardship that they feel has been dished out to them. There's usually a damn good reason these kind of people are banned.

I too consider the forum to be far too soft.

It's mind boggling how the forum doesn't do anything to certain big block trolls that happen to constantly poop all over the forum in an attempt to brainwash newbies.

If you think this forum isn't the right place for you anymore, then what are you still doing here? There are alternatives that will likely suit your ideology in a better manner. Bye.

This thread belongs in Meta, since it's about the forum itself. You should move it yourself before sensor ships.

There is a user here who posts a new anti-Core, pro-BU thread every day without fail, sometimes multiple threads per day. Then a few of his pals come in to pat his back and remind us how evil Core is.

If what you are saying is true, this wouldn't be happening. So, I call bullshit.

I, personally, think the moderation here is entirely too lenient and a bunch of shit-stirrers would be banished to a child board for shit-stirrers if I had my way. Oh, sig spam would be grounds for perma-ban as well.

But, by all means, boycott away.

Too many Bitcoiners have been banned here and rbitcoin, only because they don't obey theymos or current Core. They even disapprove Satoshi's past words once it's different from the opinion of current Core leaders.

This censorship is very tricky, so newbies, even many veterans, can't see how severe it is.

Such censorship contradicts with the spirit of Bitcoin in all aspects. The damage is huge and done already.

Theymos refuses to step down to make apologies to the community. He even encourages evil UASF to attack Bitcoin by forcing users to kneel down to current Core.

What theymos is doing is absolutely unacceptable. Actually, theymos has become Bitcoin Judas, without any doubt.

It's time for us to Boycott Bitcoin Judas.
