Now the problem here is most mobile devices have their auto space function on by default so if you eventually click on the suggestion, it adds a space to the text automatically and when you eventually hit the search button BPIP returns a message saying the profile cannot be found just because of the unimportant space character at the end of the search.
It's only your current use browser not the mobile device itself, I used brave and firefox in mobile device but never encounter such issue. Although there's a solution for it in the backend like trim() to remove whitespace and declared symbols in php or javascript for client but usually it's on user's side issue.

The results you get depends on how the website's search engine (on the back-end) works not on the browser. So, I doubt changing the browser would change anything.
Besides, as Faisal2202 has already explained, this is not a bug. Bitcointalk allow creating accounts that end with special characters (including white spaces). Therefore stripping them, as OP suggests, would create a problem.

I noticed some sort of minor issue with the  BPIP search function. I noticed it a long while ago while trying to search my user name but I just ignored it ever since. Now for most search functions , when you attempt making a search it ignores certain characters at the end of the text. However I noticed that the BPIP search function doesn't do that.

for simple and easy use for the bpip and to function well, whenever you encounter any challenge related to this, just make sure that you refresh your browser or use another one for the search function, i have also noticed this and wanted to inform others who are newbies, they may not know what exactly is going on, but when things like this happens, try to make use of another browser and you will discover that everything went on as expected.

It is not a big problem and its solution is to provide suggestions for the user, but it is better to search by the account number (UID) instead of the user name. open account, copy the UID and use it in BPIP until this issue is resolved.

I think it should be looked into and fixed to allow for a smoother search experience on BPIP. And of course I made this thread here mainly for a better visibility.
So you are saying you added an extra space at the end of your username when it should be typed correctly. I guess that's not a BPIP problem but a typing problem. Because while writing scripts. The programmer sets these limits on purpose. For example, if anyone has the same username as me Faisal2202 but with a space in the end (if it's allowed at the time of account creation) then it will create trouble for the BPIP to show the correct data. Like I am looking for Faisal2202 (without space) and another person with same name looking for Faisal2202 (with space) So to distinguish it certain parameters are given to the scripts.

So, its not a problem with BPIP while we should write our usernames properly or I should say we should take is as character sensitive just like case sensitive (which its not as we can write letter in any case) but we can't add extra space as it might be taking it as special character. I hope you got the point here.

Now for most search functions , when you attempt making a search it ignores certain characters at the end of the text. However I noticed that the BPIP search function doesn't do that.

Now why am I saying this?
For those making use of mobile phones most of the time, while in the process of making a search the device most times suggests the text being typed especially if it is frequently searched. Now the problem here is most mobile devices have their auto space function on by default so if you eventually click on the suggestion, it adds a space to the text automatically and when you eventually hit the search button BPIP returns a message saying the profile cannot be found just because of the unimportant space character at the end of the search. Although I haven't tried if same issue comes up if I make use of unimportant characters like (. , ? "! *) at the end of the search text.

I think it should be looked into and fixed to allow for a smoother search experience on BPIP. And of course I made this thread here mainly for a better visibility.
