Currently, all our forces are concentrated on the Bitpost project. However, once things ease up a bit, we have the plans for following updates:

1. A decentralized pooling protocol, where blocks are still generated on the miner's device, just like in solo mining, rather than on the pool's server.

2. An arbitrary message bridge to other popular EVM chains, which later will enable the use of popular cryptocurrencies and stablecoins on our chain, and wrapped BPX on other chains.

3. A lightweight client that does not require full synchronization from the genesis block.

BPX Chain is based upon an innovative consensus algorithm, Proof of Space and Time known from the Chia Network. Proof of Space is a cryptographic technique where miners (called space farmers) prove that they allocate unused hard disk space to the network. Proof of Time increases the overall security of the blockchain.

Compared to Proof of Work, BPX provides the same level of security and decentralization, with a fractional power consumption. Compared to Proof of Stake, BPX is censhorship resistant and does not suffer from the problem of “the rich get richer”. BPX Chain bridges the gap between these two technologies, offering mining on physical hardware in harmony with ecology.

Besides the innovative consensus algorithm, BPX Chain is a standard EVM chain, so it works out of the box with all popular wallets (e.g., Metamask, Trust Wallet) and development tools (e.g., Remix IDE, Web3.js). Developers can build smart contracts in Solidity, and all existing solutions can be deployed to the BPX Chain without any changes.

BPX Chain utilizes the original Engine API used by post-merge Ethereum for communication between the consensus layer and the execution layer. We replaced the consensus layer with entirely different software implementing the Proof of Space and Time algorithm, while leaving the execution layer unchanged. This approach allowed BPX Chain to maintain almost full compatibility with any Ethereum client, such as Geth, Nethermind, Besu, and Erigon - the only changes are the genesis block, the block interval, and the node discovery configuration.



After over a year of development and testing, we recently launched the BPX Chain mainnet, which is now fully operational and stable.

Apart from being an innovative general-purpose blockchain, BPX Chain was created as a platform for a thriving ecosystem of advanced projects with real-world applications. In the coming years, it will power Bitpost – a decentralized system for global package delivery and Bitmarket – a decentralized e-commerce platform.
