Newbies with evil IP fees restrictions cannot post/apply on this thread nor send PMs? looking so impossible from the startI Hope Op knows the evil IPs fees are not stable and that it varies from one bad IP to another and besides we have a free whitelisting service now why do you wish to take the wrong turn.

You may want to look up @JollyGood charity program will find the link later and drop some penny since you're in the mood of giving.
I agreed with you. If someone want to really help, the best way is to do it for people that really need it.

How suspicious we have all become. It would seem that a person wants to attract newcomers to the forum, paying evil fees for them, what's wrong with that?
People are so insecure nowadays even when you ask them to drop address for some penny they'd think you want to scam them.
Aside from that, people have the right to feel skeptical about the OP offer when an alternative solution to whitelist the account affected by the evil IP fee is already setup. If the OP offer this service before now no one will be skeptical.

Newcomers pay small fees.

Thats why everyone shouldnt  do any bad things in this forum, thats makes this forum secured from any spam or mulltiple accounts. Imagine if that feature is not existing, do you think cleanliness of every thread can maintain? Aside from that, creator or anyone who contributes to make this forum stable deserves the fees. (I dont know where the fees are taken or who recieves it) Smiley

If your offer is legit, it's a nice community service. But you should know that it can come back to bite you in the ass. Besides, the new evil fee message that appears for those required to pay it now points to LoyceV's whitelisting thread. Every honest newbie who got affected by it through no mistake of their own, can get their account whitelisted for free.

Cheesy. We sometimes made mistakes. Escrow service only made the transaction safe and that is also the proof that op will surely want to help by paying the fee. The risk here is that those who send pm or fill up the form may br a scammer only wanted to get free btc from op. I wonder how many people have pm op for the evil fee. I'm sure scammers are itching to send pm to op.
You are right, but about the escrow I have thought otherwise after COOLCRYPTOVATOR and LoyceV post on this thread, I was thinking of 2-of-2 multisig wallet escrow in this regard before which will make transaction to be transparent, but even if a newbie can message the OP without the person that provide the escrow knowing, while if OP intention is to scam, he can still easily scam without the person that provide the escrow service knowing. The best is to just let newbies know the type of scam that can result from this, but I still do not know how someone that do not know anyone on this forum can not be easily scammed this way.

Thank you both for the correction, it is true that escrow service is not necessary for this purpose other than newbies to be careful of not paying 2 to get 4 (I mean not paying less amount to get help for full evil fee payment) which can later lead to scam.

I don't think op has ill intentions or is trying to scam here (as long as he doesn't ask for more than the username and the bitcoin address).
Very possible that OP is not having scam intention, but awearness is perfect, it helps in learning of how to avoid scam.

I appreciate his willingness to help but does the forum really need it! The evil fee exists for a reason which is preventing banned members and account farmers from creating new accounts. My concern here is if op us qualified enough to detrmine who deserves to be whitelisted and who doesn't.
I think there are enough members with whitelisting power and, surely, theymos can appoint more when the need arises.

It is a good deed by helping newbies who can't post because of it and need to pay evil fee before a newbie can post in this forum. Scammers can take advantage of this just to get the amount of btc which is supposed to be paid for the evil fees. Newbies who will read this should not send the amount of btc needed for fees as the op is clearly said that EYC_ONE is the one who will pay for it. Not that I'm against this but this is just a notice for them and there's nothing wrong in helping newbies with their evil fees.

While reading the thread I was thinking just the same. Even if there is already a whitelist system, what is wrong with this offering? We are so used to talk and think about scams that we see them everywhere...

The merit system works perfectly right, but there are still some members who give them away in some threads in order to help the ones that are next to rank up. To me, the idea in the OP is beneficial and complementary to the whitelisting, not excluding. Maybe not the best way to do it but if he wants to, why not?

4.your pay bitcoin address & amount.
So, basically, you're now a faucet giving away Bitcoin to scammers Wink
Be careful there!

why don't you escrow the fund?
That doesn't help anyone in this case.

I’ve got an account with 23.414,50 units of Evil, and a bail set to 68350 sats.
If you are (or trust) the account owner, I'll whitelist it. Just post here.

How do you verify their answers?
It's a bit arbitrary, just like sending Merit. But considering OP didn't really consider the possibility of getting scammed, I think he's slightly too naive to do this Wink

I can just imagine the number of users who would input their own personal Bitcoin address and send rather than the proxyban address, if you asked to confirm through a screenshot, that can be easily faked and doesn't count for much.

Op could have honest intentions, but it is a huge undertaking for any member to try and verify while risking their funds and they could be accused of opening routes for previously banned members to re register on the forum.

I don't think there's any harm in him trying. If the OP is not satisfied with the applications, it can simply refuse to pay the fee.

By the way EYC_ONE, I noticed that you wrote a contact on gmail.com. Was that supposed to be a link to your email address? It does not appear to be.
I recommend that you create a google form instead, with all the questions and fields to fill out. That way, you don't have to make your email address public, which can ultimately protect you from unwanted spam.

To prove the legitimacy of your account, why don't you escrow the fund? There are reputed members that provide escrow service on this forum. If still otherwise, it seem shaddy.
Does it really necessary? Is he asking for funds? Rather than he is willing to pay the evil fee. I am not seeing any risk since newbies aren't payers, they are takers here. I don't agree to blame OP unless there is any evidence he asking for the fund.

For newbies who are willing to unban your account from the evil ban, please don't pay anything to the OP (EYC_ONE).  Rather than contact the person who can whitelist free. You can find it above the list.

How do you verify their answers?
he can't. the OP is going for gut feelings. I wouldn't be surprised if OP's Gmail inbox is bombarded with emails from so-called newbies pretending to have evil fees and trying to scam him.

If anything, I think that OP could end up being scammed as account farmers might just spam him with requests to pay the evil fee, bullshiting about the reasons.
that's exactly what I thought. scammers pretending to be newbies that have evil fees that needed to be paid.

1. Registition username

4. How much do you think the forum contributes to virtual currency.
How do you verify their answers? They can write anything, say lies just to be innocent and get your bitcoin to pay evil fee. It is terrible if you are too generous and let your Bitcoin easily to be stolen by farm owners.

<…> evil units sometimes didn't pop up for some users and I think this will just came if the IP is already used for creating their first account on the forum(Correct me if I'm wrong guys.)
The come from getting banned really, not for creating accounts per se. Once an account gets banned, all IPs related to (used by) that account accumulate units of Evil, as do those IPs "near" to those. The more units of Evil, the higher the fee one has to pay.

A couple of posts above I showed what I am required to pay on a test account. That is not due to me being banned before, but for deliberately using a proxy which, I was sure, would have been used my multiple people here before, gaining a nice set of 23.414,50 units of Evil through those banned previously.

Your IP address has previously been used for evil on this forum, or it is a known proxy/VPN/Tor exit node, so you are required to pay a small fee before you are able to post.

For those who have a brand new account on the forum but are not allowed to post anything, I am willing to help them pay a small fee for the rogue IP.I will pay them a fee and give them a chance to join the forum.

If I think you deserve this fee then I will pay

Are you trying to clean your reputation by doing this deed for newbie users who got units of evil? well in my opinion this is not good to do since you might provably help those other user who can create more accounts and do bad things in this forum. Maybe save your money and let those new users pay their own since this evil units sometimes didn't pop up for some users and I think this will just came if the IP is already used for creating their first account on the forum(Correct me if I'm wrong guys.)

But the right question is why? This issue has already been raised quite recently, and there have been people who are ready to take responsibility for newbies.
But  OP, are you also ready to do charity work? You know that someone who cannot register an account here will probably come to you and sing you a beautiful song about his interest and dream of learning about bitcoins, but in general, it will be a hoax.
You are right, the fees cost a penny, and today some people have already entered the white trusted list to make decisions on evil IPs.
Why reinvent the wheel?

At this point, for you to make people  to believe your service, don't take a fee from anyone, because looking at this your strategies it looks as Eve your intention or objectives is not pure..is like a (scam) so therefore maybe people that have such challenges might be rall to the community, but if you objectives here is to deceive beginners that means you won't be recognize as a reputable user of this community till infinity and you have to withdraw your negative plans if really...i state it very clear i did not say you have a negativity to execute here but create an emphasises that contribute for betterment of everyone most especially newbies.

Why pay the bail for others, when the service (which is what this really is on the surface) is for free, and can be provided by admins, mods and volunteer approved accounts that have been on the forum for quite a while?

Not that I like evil fees at all, and although I get the intention, with no stats on the matter available to debunk (I feel like I’m nicking the term from someone here …) my poor opinion, I can only think that false positives (legit users) are rather likely to be subject to the fee.

I’ve got an account with 23.414,50 units of Evil, and a bail set to 68350 sats. Would it qualify on the budget criteria?

I hope you are not deploying scam tactic, there are members theymos gave whitelisting power, to be able to whitelist newbie account for free, all forum staff also can whitelist newbie not to pay the evil fee. All I can comment here is that no one should trust your account, also clear your negative trust. Newbies really need to be careful of your accounts because it should not be trusted as this seem more of an indirect scam attempt.

If anything, I think that OP could end up being scammed as account farmers might just spam him with requests to pay the evil fee, bullshiting about the reasons.

But as you said, since there are people who can whitelist legit users for free, there is no need to pay.
