BSOD after flashing cards, more like a driver issue. It caused by failed on driver signature check by the systems. Patching driver signature using Atikmdag patcher will be solving this issue. This is related to some Windows features called "digital signature enforcement."

I just had to create an account to come on here and say thank you so much for your advice and steps on how to solve this problem.

Your advice is the only thing that had worked... this was my first time coming across this problem and it was a bit of a shock to say the least.

Thank you so much buddy

some models have dual bios to switch back to stock rom, but sometimes within this process you switched many times and forgot to witch one is changed bios and which one is unchanged bios and end up bricking their card.
and yes, as @xxcsu mentioned, sometimes it just doesn't work with ati flash also, so 1+8 method works for ref and non ref models.
here is the detailed post on it http://www.overclock.net/t/593427/how-to-unbrick-your-bricked-graphics-card-fix-a-failed-bios-flash/230#post_25463481

Sometimes this method not going to work . Sometimes if your your card with a bad flash connected to the pc just not going to boot at all . In my experience  when you flashing a "heavy" modded bios with a really bad settings for your card ;-) the only way to get back the card to use that bios switch on your card , or if u are a little bit more expert user, use  the 1+8 method :-) You might need to use the 1+8 method if you flashed a ref card modded bios to a non ref card .

Hello guys,

I flashed one of my 480's the other day and it didn't go too smoothly. When I restarted the computer all I would get was a BSOD. Every. Single. Time.

I knew it needed re-flashing back to stock so I tried through CMD, through safe mode, through DOS, through a Win98 Boot, through the toilet U-Bend but nothing worked. I could not get it back and I thought it was as good as dead...

... but alas! I managed to get it working again and thought I would share just in case anyone else is in the same position and pulling their hair out.

It might sound simple for some people, and for those, you needn't carry on reading - for others that have donned their blinkers however..

Find the offending GPU
Disconnect all GPU(s)
Boot the system via On-board (If you don't have On-bard maybe an alternative brand would work i.e: if AMD bricked, use a Nvidia)
Once in Windows; uninstall all the offending GPU's drivers. Display Driver Uninstall to completely clean it out.
Now restart the computer with the offending GPU installed, but stay connected via On-Board.
Windows should now boot properly. Windows doesn't know how to use it again so cannot check it - which I believe is what kept crashing it.
Run ATIFlash andchange the BIOS back. (If you didn't make a back up - check this website (TechPowerUp))
Provided that went smoothly; you can now re-install the drivers
and Voila! the card should be fully functioning again.

If not, well... it didn't hurt to try. lol. Good luck! Hope it helps someone
