are you sure it's stupidity? you could just make this shit up and sell your story to some media outlet. so many ways a playa can play the game.

Something tells me this guy isn't a master of chicanery.

But then again:

Quote
Mr Clatworthy previously made headlines in 2007 when, aged 12, he used his judo skills to catch a drink-driver who had crashed into three cars in Ilkeston Road, Radford
.

Maybe he's a master at courting the press for his own gain.

Another conspiracy? Great! We surely did not have enough of those on btctalk!
But I tend to agree. I had tons of quasi-important stuff to share with the media in my life, but they ignored me.
But stories like that go viral.
Do you simply call some newspaper and say "I'm a dumb fuck, exploit my life story" and they say "okay, we sure have nothing else to do" ?

Another similar story is the guy who allegedly threw his hard-drive with his bitcoins he'd mined a couple of years ago in the trash. There was no evidence that he had even minded the coins apart from his story and the media was having a field day with it.

EDIT: in that pic he reminds me of Jean Reno from Leon/Professional

I didn't see it before, but he kinda does.

Imagine a true p2p news channel network, truth and only truth. And in case of multiple truths - simply objective opinions.

Is there any true unbiased, unmoderated news channel without hidden agenda today(or ever)?

Other than fox news of course.

it's kind of funny how ad revenues work really. all you need to do is create content that entertains people. that's what news has become; a vehicle for entertainment and not education.

someone like george zimmerman probably doesn't need to work a day for the rest of his life, just by the mere fact that he killed someone and became famous for it. he can write a book about his experience, charge guest speaking fees, or demand $ for an exclusive interview.

we are living in an age where celebrity is the most prized achievement for the common person, because you don't have to do jack shit and you'd make millions. i think it's gotten so bad that some people want to be famous just for the sake of being famous, and while money is important to them, the fact that you're famous is a prize in itself.

The United Kingdom teenager burned by an Xbox One eBay scam received a free console from retailer CeX on Saturday, The Nottingham Post reports today.

How was it a scam? The guy bought a picture of an xbox for a silly price because the fool didn't read the listing. Uggh.

HA!

My aunt bought a stereo off the street once. The packaging looked legit. She got it home and it was just a box of bricks. Some people have no scruples. Happens when you're broke and desperate.

She was desperate to buy a stereo? Smiley Where's reasoning behind it? I can imagine participating in some kind of radio lottery which goes live in 1 hour Smiley

Yeah I've heard a lot of these stories.

There are even some where it worked out and the seller got to keep all the money.

Always read the description when buying on eBay!!!

People still fall for this? Really? When is everyone gonna learn?

I think most people actually read shit before they buy it, but good news for sellers is there's always going to be a handful of fools who's stupidity can always be capitalised upon.

Smart guy,

Buy photo, get refund, sell story for a few grand = profit..

Seller should have posted a package with nothing in it and claimed it was stolen.
Dude I haven't thought abou that yet =)) so in the end he's not that stupid huh Smiley)

He made a video that was seen all around the world and uses the word "Quid"  the guys is thick as shit.

What's wrong with saying quid? It's just like saying 'bucks' or 'greenbacks' or whatever.

I'm generally an empathetic person person even if I don't act like it but when you actually look at the situation rather than going "Boo hoo that poor victim" I find it very hard. For one thing as people have already spammed in the comments of this article he got a 15 year old girl pregnant so he isn't exactly the shining beacon of intelligence and responsibility. For those internationally especially in America this is the kind of shit we have to put up with in the UK on a regular basis and the amazing thing is throughout all of it they manage to act completely indignant about the problems they have and blame everybody else so if you think we're being mean it's because we've seen it so many times we're wondering why the hell people don't learn.

Hey, don't get me wrong. The kid was dumb to fall for it, but the seller's just taking advantage of people's oversight and stupidity and tried taking his money in the process. He has a kid. He's a kid himself. It's just so shitty that ethical behavior is just a footnote nowadays.
