not my cleanest job with silicone, but it does the trick just fine...
Got it today... not sure who was trying to fix it last or why they put so much effort into obviously trying to solder the 4 corners, but glued the corners down, fixed the 2 out 5 pins on the usb... and it's hashing away.

lol, from the look of the original pic, it looks like someone ripped up one of the board trace.
they did, actually two... there was a faint sliver left of both of them, enough to solder on to.
I'll try to get some pics up shortly, I put it back to the original (not using the aftermarket fan), so I'll have to take it apart again.

I have a SMD re-work station and all the necessary tools/equipment, just need to order some solder paste since I'm out at the moment, but thanks for the tip, shouldn't be too much of an issue to fix, hopefully.

I sold a jalapeno and it arrived there with the usb connector fallen off. I don't know how it happened.
Anyway, I got it back. When he first got it, it had great traces left. It seems the connector is soldered by the corners but the pins are just sprung down. I suggested he get it soldered. He took it to a computer place instead of a real soldering place. The idiots destroyed what was left.
I wanted to solder just 2 wires from the board to the connector but they destroyed one of the important traces.
