Hey, those who interested in browser mining should take a look at Hadron project https://hadron.cloud/dashboard - I already mining and since its alpha testing you should try it too. Could be big thing in future-dont miss a chance.

If you want to make your project visible to other create thread by your own not making shit post in the dead thread. I have explained to many people but no one looking to care that itseems.

Whenever any thread needs the additional information or alert the op again you can make the post there but here you done clearly shows that you are promoting your scam project to attract the newbies. Newbies do not check out this site too. These kind of ponzi proposal will be here and there.

OP please lock this thread. Hope you already got the answer.

Normally thread should be not locked, because people MUST not spam, but anyway, thanks for suggestion.
Topic locked! For any update / info .... please leave a mp I can re-open it for a while if there are new arguments to discuss.

Not new, Freebitco.in also offers such service, now piratebay and even moonbitcoin that is good news apparently . The problem is that if you value your processor you better stay away from this kind of mining, it will start by making your computer lag depending on the coin the website is mining through your processor and it will not make you any decent amount, only very little satoshis daily which doesn't make up for your increased electricity you are using during this process.

This is something I DO NOT recommend.

i started mining Bch Dogecoin Dash & litecoin direct to my coinpot wallet my CPU is 'intelCore i3' using my browser 1 month fROm now i never encounter any problem on my pc since the status is paying i continue with to mine for now better to stay away as you said thank you for the helpful info

i have been using it on my website this is the stats https://i.gyazo.com/6bff7842201a6fab081534e0e19ccc13.png

also you need to know that if someone use adblock or anti virus it won't work for them
one more thing if you have a website that people would stay from 1 to 1 min on your site it won't be profitable so i would say a streaming or gaming website would be much better or else go with normal ads

I do not recommend use such app. In order to get the coins need a lot of power. Your computer to do. You will earn a few dollars a month which is not even enough to pay for the electricity necessary for the operation of your computer. Allowing installation of third-party software on your computer you can become a victim of fraud or hackers. Are you willing to risk for 5 bucks?

If installation of 3rd party software is required, then it is no longer browser mining anymore...

Has anyone actually tried and earned something from browser mining?
I actually tried using the freebitco browser miner for around 15 minutes and I did not earn a single satoshi.

It would be nice to see estimates for example how many website visitors you need daily (and over what amount of minutes do they need to stay online) in order for you to earn a certain amount of satoshi. Right now it seems like there is too much hype over something that will not be profitable unless your website already has a lot of traffic which by then means it already is profitable anyway.

This website:
https://coinhive.com/

Mining of Monero.
With mobile phone that gives 5 hashs you can earn 1$ in month, if you will mine 24 hours in day.
With good laptop with 25 hashs you can earn 5$ in month.

This is useless for solo mining. But if you can do some project or some game and few thousands of people will play into it you can earn normal money. Maybe even 5000$ in months. But you can earn also with different methods if you find thousands of people Smiley

Anyway I like idea of captcha with mining! If google will do from their recapthca mining captha, they can earn millions and millions!

There are many sites providing the way to start mining without the cmd prompt connecting widget and more. simply you can only check the hash rate in the mining site you have signed up. Every cloud site contains the dashboard to check the workers you alloted to mine.
But looking about the profit converting the fiat or btc. Then only you will be able to understand that this is completely waste of time.

Yeah, I agree with that. Is it better to mine using CMD and software. I don't mean that mining through freebitco.in is bad, it just doesn't seems right to me. I would prefer mining via CMD rather than mining via browser. It is good if you have old computers that you won't use anymore. But I think it will cause some problem to your CPU. And if browser uses our RAM, will they use memory usage too ?

Mining Bonus
When you tick the Run mining bonus checkbox we will run a background POW mining process in your browser.
Later when you make a faucet claim we will calculate an extra bonus of up to 100% on your faucet claim!
The bonus amount is based on how much hashing power you have contributed while the mining process was running - so to maximize your bonus you must leave the Moon Bitcoin tab open in between claims.

PLEASE NOTE: This mining process will increase the CPU usage on your PC/device whilst it is running by up to 30%.
The mining bonus is completely optional so if it causes a problem for you then please turn it off by unticking the Run mining bonus checkbox.

We are facing a new mood in the crypto industry? I think this could be a big advantage for every one has a website!
What do you think about it?

If anyone plans to browser mine then I don't have to say anything, waste your pc resources for nothing.
And now what's about piratebay, they have huge traffic, just search on alexa.com and you'll see their position. So with this amount of trafic, it's smartest way to earn more money, it seems ads aren't enough for them because usually advertisers on torrent are paying very less. They have javascript and mining is possible because of that but you can turn off that and sensation ends for piratebay.

OK doing it now!!!

Nimiq

on 5 different PC's and a tablet.

WTF determines the hash rate?HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh??

My fastest system is the lowest Hash, my middle PC is the highest has and of course tablet is the weakest.

For sh!ts and giggles I pulled out an old Core 2 duo and its getting a better Hash then the fastest computer.

Also you can open incognito browsers and open several so far does not seem to bother hash rate

so again I ask WTF determines hash?HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh?? so confused

Based on my tests its not.

CPU, RAM, Disk, Internet speed or even browser type because it demands the newest Chrome.

I remember minergate offers browser mining before, and they shut down it one year ago. I think this is because of low hashrate from tiny miner, then minergate must use a powerful server to handle the network bandwidth.

The pirate bay already abused its users by covertly running a monero miner at 100 percent CPU power. If they had revealed that they wanted to move to a browser mining funded model there would be no problem.

If you guys would go and read why they did it and what happened with the 100% mining rather than just claiming they are trying to do you dirty you might understand a bit more. All these click bait headlines claiming it was done nefariously is such bullshit.

The 100% usage was a mistake, it is now set to 30% cpu usage and only on one tab no matter how many tabs you have open. They publicly posted about this and asked for feedback yet everyone is running around saying they are just trying to steal your CPU cycles for their gain. They are TESTING this as an alternative to ad revenue.

They also explicitly state that current gen adblockers will stop this from happening if you dont want to participate.

minergate used to have browser mining option, Also nimiq also has browser mining option though it is only for testnet. Some say as the plugin is implemented in javascript it would not be feasible or efficient but in case of websites with huge traffic specially video streaming website where user spent lots of time watching videos I think webmasters will make some good money.

For anyone worried that sites will abuse browser mining this open source project aims to create a blocker plugin: https://github.com/keraf/NoCoin
Don't understand why some people are so against this. I'd much rather give up a slither of my CPU to help websites I use stay online than be bombarded with annoying ads that make my computer slow.

Win win imo

identical to an ad block. no more I guess. every one should be able to chose if use or not this mining script, like an ad = close it.
But even is a win win solution for all sites that are not showing any type of banner like wikipedia!
I don't think is profitable as operation for the end user (because 1000 satoshi in a month are a big estimates Cheesy LOL ) but for site owners with big traffic this could be a new solution for earn some extra bucks.
We will see, if this mining operation can conquer other websites/ business Smiley .

articles of 2012-2013 it was very popular at the time to get a script on your webpage to have unsuspecting visitors
to mine bitcoins for you,it is pretty much useless nowadays since it would bring peanuts even on sites like amazon
so,no you won't get rich mining with your browser  Grin maybe extra 1000 satoshis or so
in a year

I think it's a great alternative to ads and a nice way to help fund sites.

The pirate bay already abused its users by covertly running a monero miner at 100 percent CPU power. If they had revealed that they wanted to move to a browser mining funded model there would be no problem.

Other sites will try the same tactics; the blocker plugin gives users control over their computer's resources and site owners an incentive to inform their user base about the benefits of browser mining. We live in the age of services such as patreon, many users who appreciate a site will help pay for it to stay active, no need to pull a fast one on users.

Is is quite simple to implement and no one has data about real earnings yet. But this is a good way to use idle CPU all over the world.
I hope that will be done with the user knowing and not in the shade.

It's just being implemented at freebitco.in as well. You can adjust the CPU usage from 10% through to 100% so you can leave it running in a tab while you're working on something else on your computer.
