BSC has become the biggest alternative chain for ethereum. I would not mention BNB native chain as it was using the different chain than BSC. There are two chains, BNB native and BSC chain was has been using second layer solution for ethereum as a way for BSC to attract the new users. This is also making people being much more easily to adopt it. The problem is if BSC was a centralized blockchain. it has been running by hundreds of nodes but these nodes controlled by a few parties. i can't deny that if there will be advantage and disadvantage on it.

BSC has proven to be the reliable second layer solution for ethereum and it's the biggest chain after ethereum. This can be seen from how big the daily transactions happened in the network. BSC must not prove itself as it has already proven itself to be a reliable blockchain

It has already proven itself already right? So what else does it need to proved? Projects have been moving in their network and then we also have the upcoming projects using them. So it's already a successful one, the good thing is that they are many competitors around, so there's no more monopoly. As for the price in the market, still in the top 5, so solid and legit. What they have to do is to improved itself, because it's a competitive market out there, (ETH, SOL and ADA).

BSC did lost the spotlight for the moment, but I think it's just (temporary. The new network hype train will die out IMO. BSC struggled in the beginning but they've scaled up in no time and proved that they can be a serious network. I find it running smoothly and with fair transaction fees. I think it will prove the test of time and will become a well established network on the long run. Being backed one of the biggest CEX's in the world also will help with that, regardless of the temporary FUD that Binance may be facing rn.
