https://bit.ly/387FXHi lightning theory
This is what I believe altcoins always have their strong roles in blockchain industry. Of course, I meant good altcoins, not scam altcoin projects. Bitcoin is unreplaceable, I agree, but bitcoin itself can not do all things to build up strong blockchain industry.
We do need altcoins that play its role in daily payments and minor to major things in human cilization, bitcoin in contrast plays as a leader and backbone of crypto currency and blockchain industry.

You need an altcoin specific thing or maybe a side chain, ethereum had to split it's chains up afaik to offer people an option to download just the main chain or the smart contracts chain (because there's a huge difference in the size)... The more you try to put into a chain's function, the lower it's security will be but separating things up is a great way to get around that problem into altcoins and side chains. BSV doesn't have much going for it so this is probably a good way to repurpose the coin - but I doubt bsv has many nodes.

I'm not sure this is a good idea. This should be done on its own chain and not the bitcoin blockchain. Blocks are a megabyte in size atm and only ~10% of that could be given to storing this data.

Storing data on a blockchain seems harder than you can imagine.
The main problem is how much data should be stored. Limited blocks will cause trouble or higher fees.
Also, what's the point that the data is available to everyone and everyone can view it.
It's like you want to use a tank for a speed race. "You are safe because the tank is armored but you will not arrive first."

There are better solutions, so do a Google search.

Are you telling me this page is now on stored on the bitcoin blockchain? Is it even possible? I don't get the "how" but looks like  a cool idea indeed.

edit: I checked the about page. This is probably not happening on Bitcoin. It is possible that this is happening on BcashSV.
edit2: Their donation address belongs to BcashSV network too. At this point, I can say the title is misleading.

Yeah I saw that about BcashSV link myself...
Can we confirm it is saving page on BSV blockchain or not?

EDIT:
Confirmed using BSV:

Again, same misleading tactics from CW as from R.Ver...  Undecided

I agree making a decentralised ledger of the Internet would be a great way to go, just not using the bitcoin blockchain.

Edit: do what you want with bsv...

I often use website archiving websites like Archive.is and Archive.org
to save pages or user activity on Bitcointalk forum.

I was thinking that good solution would be to use blockchain for archiving pages forever.
I experimented with Arweave archiving, and I found one more website called Etched
that is saving pages on 'Bitcoin' blockchain (but in reality it is saving it on CW shitcoin BSV)

Quote from: etched.page
Etched is an internet archive tool that permanently timestamps and stores web pages directly into the bitcoin blockchain.

This is a major improvement from traditional web archivers as all etched pages are permanently stored
and independently proveable by anyone who has access to the bitcoin blockchain. This means even if
etched shuts down anyone can search and view all previously saved data using bitcoin browsers like Bottle.

Code:
https://etched.page/

EDIT:
It is using BSV network, so the whole website is misleading people,
and it is NOT recommended!
