- ITALY   (Please correct, if we have any Italian Bitcoiners here)

There was recently some news regarding ECB inferring that Italy would be a BTC-friendly Country for Start-ups. So I called a major bank operating in Italy called Intesa Sanpaolo SpA and got some patchy information:

Apparently their online banking transfers to another Italian bank account takes up to 2 days? However Intesa to Intesa clears under 1 minute internally?

Guys, would be really grateful if you could chime-in and let me know how fast National banking transfers take to clear/complete in your Country.
I am currently based in the UK and here with have a system from the Payments Council called "Faster Payments". Most UK banks offer this online service/product where we can send funds (GBP) to another nominated UK bank account near instantly.

I'm finding it hard to find other metrics for other foreign banking systems and was just wondering if you have a "Faster Payments" equivalent in your respective Country.

I have a potentially Killer App for BTC which I will consider investing/developing if I get some more data on this - foreign online banking infrastructure.

Many thanks, in advance folks.
