We all would have heard about panic selling and here it is.Investors are afraid that after segwit activation,there would be a hard fork and bitcoin would split into two chains.So most of them have started to sell their bitcoins and even altcoins in panic.Every thing would get settled down after august 1. Buying few more coins along with bitcoin will help, when main coin is dropping some other coin will stand up and give stability.
The entire market is down and i do not think that any coin would stand up in this market.Since there are uncertainty when it comes to bitcoin on what is future will be i can understand why people are afraid of it and may be so is the reason the price is going down. I see that bitcoin price was started to decline even the other coins. I was a little bit scares on what happen in to crytocurrencies world. But I think bitcoin segwit have a back up plan regarding on what happen in August 1. I hope that all users wasn't suffers after separation.
bitcoin price is trading in the present price for along time it means that it is not going to fell down any more and the people are giving good support to it therefore more chances are that the price of bitcoin start increasing very soon. 
Price will continue to go down till August 1 and even after that it can go down so no one is sure what exactly will happen in coming days and now it will be hard for bitcoins to bounce back as there is panic selling in market which will take price even to lower level in coming days.
Bitcoins do not go down, but everyone's trust is no longer there, its value depends on everyone's beliefs, and they're worried, so they sell it off. That is the way to ensure their rights, but they are killing themselves.

I've seen it and figured out the actual scenario of bitcoin as it's price started to decline and it's more like domino effect. No need to be scared for this moment and in fact more traders were really happy to have a bigger chances of winning the edge of their buying moment, while price was still cheaper. Let's just be positive and don't let your greener pasture be ruined by panic selling decisions which sometimes give you regrets.

Yes exactly what I am expecting, when segwit is activated then all altcoin can forget about their dream to dethrone BTC especially ETH. We all know what is going to happen, a huge dump in the altcoin market and a huge pump in BTC.
maybe this time alot of crypto currency will drop but remember bitcoin has a lot of advatages than other crypto currency. bitcoin will grow more in 5 years so its up to you if you believed in bitcoin or not. bitcoin is a decentralized currency thats why bitcoin is not stable but it grows more than it drops more.

Predictably and proven now, the price of bitcoin and other currencies continues to decline, everyone feels uneasy about this, but i think it will end and will not continue to experience a sustained decline later in the year. Do not get too panicked i think this drop is only temporary for sometime, and will coming back up to high again on next time. Do the best and stay saving a profit.
Yes price fluctuations is a common practice in bitcoins so there is nothing to worry or to get panic as price will rise again in future so instead of getting panic I think we should try to buy maximum bitcoins at a moment to get higher profits in future.

Hello to everyone, I've been trading for a couple of days newbie, before that I did research for months with spreadsheets, it was as expected but since when you trade you have many emotions and I did some of the newbies mistakes trading with ICO were the worst and sometimes lucky, but now i feel confident, 1 year ago I bought my first bitcoin but i never trade i´ve just bought something online and that it. Afterwards, I was inmerse in developing web pages then i feel like i want to be a software developer as I like to code a lot well and I love altcoins techology is the best and I pretty sure that Bitcoin will have an correction as big companies have announcied also as you might expect many countries will have Bitcoins legalized which is great so Bitcoin will be the King for the years to come I'm waiting to Bitcoin and other top 20 cryptocurrencies go high in the sky after this market correction then we will see a lot of profit thanks for techology and this great community!!!

it is alwasy Fear Uncertainty and Doubt with bitcoin aka FUD.
people are now caught up with the split FUD once again and they are forgetting that there is a big difference between them who are only holding bitcoin which they can sell at any moment and miners who are not only holding bitcoin but also have a lot invested in mining equipment and they won't let the split happen at all costs. since the fall will ruin them more than it can harm a holder.

Yes the market is dropping and it is dropping hard and last for a long time, it's makes the trade go stagnant and create a hell situation for a lot of people, but it will go up, I think everyone is holding back due to this August, they are taking precaution step, after the August I believe the price will become better

Yes a downfall in the price of bitcoin was seen during this month, hope so another surge is on the way but it is expected after 1st august as most of the users are predicting this.
The price was huge drop these days .. and i think every year i am experience the same thing every july.

I think most of the people have August 1 on their minds and that's why so many similar threads everywhere on the forum, if there were no event to take place in the coming month there wouldn't be so many people asking questions like this. Yes sure the current downward trend in the market may also be because of August 1 to some extent but that doesn't mean it's going to be the end of bitcoin or cryptocurrency for that matter. Just like there are people spreading negative things, there are also people with positive news and the number of such people is much more bigger than the ones with negative news. I think there is going to be everything fine after August 1 and soon we will see a surge in the price of bitcoin and altcoins.

I have tried to understand what is really happened and I find out that two things is happening to cryptocurrency now! One of those things is panicking by amateurs traders who are selling off their position because of fear of what is going to happen August 1st, Another thing I think is happening is professional traders taking profit and this has been playing out several times since the beginning of cryptocurrency trading markets.
Are there so many users appear all the time or everyone just have short memory? Every Bitcoin user with smallest experience should now that fluctuation in price is normal and volatility for Bitcoins is natural. But I guess we will witness new waves of panic selling with.no reason especialy before August 1.

finally after few times bitcoin had a good price today it dropped but for me the price still reasonable although a bit worry if the price can't recover again but i took my own risk with holding my bitcoin at least for next few days and we as the bitcoiners actually have to realize that dump and pump always be a part for cryptocurrency so actually this is common situation but indeed most people will panic

Like what everyone is saying, it is expected that the price of bitcoin but the reaction of everyone or say the majority will determine whether it will be a crash or not but so far so good, I can say we are still doing fine considering the level of confidence quite a number of people have exhibited which is something that is still giving the basis for bitcoin to still maintain the price it currently compared to other alts, that have entered the phase of crashing.

Yeah. Some price correction is just happening. I speculate that it will continue up to tomorrow. Then we will see another price surge following that. Segwit2x really brings a lot of uncertainty on bitcoin market. But if successful that price could really fly. I'm also very positive about that scenario, we all just have to wait and see next month.

Agree with you and to correct you few years back we saw this with only bitcoin while other coins were nicely growing slowly now it's time for all the other altcoins over the years bitcoin fell maybe 2 times a month and just with one major dump altcoins got screwed and people are crying. #BitcoinIsBest

The surge can only be maintained if the segwit2x hardfork gets rejected after it activates. If miners actually hardfork into 2 bitcoins then it will crash badly. For bitcoin to be a store of value, it has to remain as only one. If a group of corporations can hardfork bitcoin against the community then it's pretty much game over.

All cryptocurrencies are dropping right now, i'm still not sure why it happen and is it because of Segwit August 1st ? Damn dude, it's really scary. I agree, whales are taking their opportunity to get more Bitcoin in cheaper price before the Aug. 1 since that update will have a great effect in Bitcoin price, even with the split of network. The dump of altcoin is a clear state that people are cashing out for fiat in preparation for massive buy when the Segwit activation is succesful.
As said before definitely fork on august 1st is decreasing the demand in Bitcoin and other cryptos/tokens.
IMO the hype is over, new ''investors'' are out of money and they are uncertain about the future of cryptos, so demand is much lower.
After the fork, Bitcoin will be improved which should result in bigger trust in whole system. So price should grow slowly.

Remember the saying, what goes up must come down. This cryptocurrency downfall is normal. It also happens in traditional currencies that we have in our respective countries so why worry? After this downfall, there is only one way bitcoin and other currency are going and it is definitely upwards. Let us just wait some more time and we all will be happy with the outcome of what's happening right now. Patience is a virtue my friends. That's what we all need today.
