I'm afraid not. If there will be a bull run, the only thing it will have in common with Chinese new year, is the time. There are investors who predict a bull run in 2 weeks, but seeing is believing.

I think it's time to believe now since bitcoin has reached 11K USD mark in just a short period of time since it went down to 6K USD a couple of days ago. It seems that this run will last long since the change of its market cap is dominant.

If you will look at the chart and technical analysis on some of the trading sites, it is considered a buying opportunity and it does not matter whether it's a holiday or not. It could be possible that the Chinese have bought large volumes during Feb 16 trading but it does not mean for another bull run. The market is currently at consolidation stage and usually after that will be the breakout - probably within the next 2 months.

btc bullrun after chinese new year?

Do you think so? Why is everybody so obsessed with this chinese event? I doubt investors will get money from bitcoin to buy shit for this type of holiday.
I honestly do not know and I really wonder that people just hear a particular stuff from some people, and then they spread it around like it is something legitimate. The market will always do pretty well without the Chinese involvement and moreover, who said that the Chinese traders are waiting for the festival to be over before they start getting involved ? That would be their loss as the market can always recover even then and if it happens to be when their new year is over, it is just going to be a plain coincidence.

Nope nothing has happened yet i don't expect anything to happen to the price in this month there was a slight upward movement but unfortunately it wasn't enough and it stopped again
We need a bigger force and demand in order for a bullrun

I see nothing other than real positive news lately. I mean real news from reliable verifiable sources not just FUD by shit news services that should be fined for publishing crap that is later proven to be false and only FUD.

We should start to ID the news publishers who have published fake / twisted variations on real events.

Their journalism should be the same standard for crypto as for their other stories.

I think that these places publishing FUD should be fined actually for the ruin they have caused many investors.
I want to believe that most of these online news publications are only looking for traffic which is the main reason they are always happy publishing FUD. Someone has even said before that there could be some possibilities of them being sponsored by whales just to stir up the market. We are in a moment where the market is due for recovery anyway and with or without Chinese, I am very optimistic that the market should end up doing better soon.

Seeing is always believing but with all that is happening presently now, I am assuming the seeing is in place and it is left for whoever wants to believe but it actually has nothing to do with the Chinese because the market apparently picked up already from the previous low, even before the end of the Chinese new year. This is a global thing and a lot of traders and investors are always ready for new opportunity to enter back in to the market.

You guys should stop attaching everything with China, and even if the bull run happens, it has nothing to do with their new year festival. Bitcoin will start a rally when it is ready and when the market deem it fit to start. So far, the market is looking good, retracement looks more like something that is ready to roll and we can see a lot of improvement with volume.

I bet that it will. Because they believe that this will be the lucky chance to invest. Feng Shui has played a big role in this event.

if the Chinese investors who have withdrawn their money for the new year eve and if they deposit their money again by increasing the market cap than yes there will be a bullrun after new year.
Oh please! You guys should stop this already. I honestly do not know why you guys are thinking that the China are behind all the bull runs and the dumps. Even if they are, the market to me is doing perfectly well even without them. It is normal for a market to have some little bit of drag after a downtrend, and as far as I can see from here, it looks like it just broke the neckline of the head and shoulder pattern and the China new year is not even over yet.

I'm hoping that after the Chinese New Year, investors will be more confident to invest in bitcoin as we had a week now that price had stabilized at $8k. Pushing a little more to climb at $9k mark will be a turning point that a bull run could be possible to happen. Let's wait for that until weekends. Hold

btc bullrun after chinese new year?

Based on past btc performance, there should be one. February is a much better week overall for bitcoin compared to the week of January for sure.

I do hope to see that the $9k target can be hit by Chinese New Year though, because of the fact that once we hit $9k, people are going to probably get hyped for that $10k mark and it's quite easy from there on after to get a decent recovery going.

These few days leading up to the Chinese New Year would be interesting, because I think that there is a possibility that price could go above $9k before Chinese New Year even comes around. Since people expect a pump to happen soon, they will most likely start buying up early, causing an early pump.

btc bullrun after chinese new year?

every year so far has seen the start of a rally after lunar new year. The reason is that there is a superficial belief in china about investing and it brining luck along the same time. So lets see if this year will be the same.

Well, that is a possibility, so that could happen. The last holiday time and Christmas time when people expected to take out the profit, Bitcoin doesn't make any significant movements. We don't know what will happen when the chine new year have been passed, Probably I have similar in favor with you because we can't deny the Chinese market is a strong market that contributes a lot to the Bitcoin market cap.

I do not think that now the price of bitcoin largely depends on the Chines NY, as there are a lot of crypto restrictions in China, so this country will not influence the market significantly.

btc bullrun after chinese new year?

I'm not sure that will happen. The Chinese New Year is in 2 days, and I do not see any prerequisites for some big change in the market.
If there is such a thing I think it will be at least mid-year.
This is my point of view.  Smiley

btc bullrun after chinese new year?

Yes but not really, the rise of bitcoin will start after the Chinese new year, but that's not all reason.
Lightning will be good soon and that is the big factor to make bitcoin back on the 20.000 USD each or even much bigger.

btc bullrun after chinese new year?

I think there will be a price rise but we do not know if it is going be a bull run. People who celebrates Chinese new year are already on holiday mode and usually they celebrate it for at least a week. There will be no business during those days. Non Asians probably do not know how big Chinese celebrate this events.

After the Chinese new year Chinese will start again looking at the chart and will find a perfect opportunity to buy.
I think even if they are busy celebrating Chinese new year as a business man they still look for their business a time, maybe, worker's don't really mind what will happen to their business, but the owner still thinking about his/her business on his/her busy day or maybe ask a favor for his/her staff to look at their business but if the business is like a stall it will definitely closed for the Chinese new year. That I see every year. But this doesn't mean it takes effect as a bull run on bitcoin.

I hope so, seeing it as a positive sign is a good idea, since a new year brings a new luck and a great start for investment. However, most of the Chinese that celebrate the occasion spend a lot of money to prepare foods and fireworks thus there could be no enough savings for additional investment after few days or weeks. That even also happen during last Christmas or New year, the amount of people who invest is not just high due to the fact that they have just spend some money for the occasion.

If the Chinese New Year is anything close to the New Year that we experience, then we will not see a immediate change. The reason I am saying this is simple, because most people spend too much money in the period before the New Year and then there are very little left for a few weeks after that to spend on Crypto currency investments.

All of us has been there before. You eat expensive food and stay in expensive resorts and when you get back home you have to eat cheap Noodles for the rest of the month, because you over spend during the festive season. ^lol^

I think bitcoin price should grow to at least 11 thousand USD. In the near future expiration dates of futures options,
which were held in January and were exposed at the level of $10000.

My speculation after chinese new year, the price of bitcoin will going down as what like happened last month, if we try to look back last january after new year, the price of bitcoin rapidly decreasing, but this is only my own opinion and speculation, and I have no reliable source about my idea, and I'm hoping that my idea can make people more open minded the reality of bitcoin business. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes I believe the end of chinese new year will lead to a massive bullrun for bitcoin. Some people say the holidays should not impact the price, but in reality you really can see the impact of these holidays on prices.

Well people have been saying the Chinese New Year has dropped btc price for over a month now and the Chinese New Year doesn't start to Feb 14. I've been to china and see how people avoid things that the government doesn't approve of. I brought some western newspapers and no one would look at them, western news is not allowed in china. If the government in china frowns on individuals owning btc I think it will scare of people. Of course I haven't read up on any restriction imposed yet

If it seems like you're always late to the party when the market is swinging, it's because other investors are beating you to the news. After downtrend always come uptrend, who is late for the party will buy again on the top and cry later, its how I see it.
Looks like bitcoin price moving have some similarities with past behavior. In January price always drops, and after the end of Chinese new year prices start to go up again. Close to the summer price is stable more or less, but after the the summer until the end of the year price tend to go up a lot, many times above our expectations.

I don't think the Chinese New Year had anything to do with the bear run so there's no reason it would have something to do with the bull run Cheesy Surely you have some proof besides the usual it's always falling in value in January/February. The majority of BTC is being traded in JPY, even though Hong Kong is still functioning as a trading hub for China. So despite the bans the Chinese are trading, but the Japanese are running the show now. At least that's what it looks like.
TA suggest there will be a breakout but people aren't sure if it will be up or down. One thing is certain, it's going to be soon. I'd give it 2 weeks at the maximum and we'll either go towards 10k or back towards 6k.

Yes we could expect bull run more since no FUD or serious regulations over bitcoin seems to be found nearby. Also many Chinese investors have been selling their bitcoins to celebrate their new year festival which also led to fall in bitcoin price. After new year, they would be starting to buy bitcoins with full speed which would contribute bitcoin to turn to bullish trend.

btc bullrun after chinese new year?

Well, I seriously await the bullrun if it will come anytime soon expected; 2weeks from the Chinese calendar year is end of the month of February. But like someone said, seeing is believing. The market has really been somewhat dry; let the excitement come in quickly!

Do you think so? Why is everybody so obsessed with this chinese event? I doubt investors will get money from bitcoin to buy shit for this type of holiday.

Exactly. They have to spend money for a lavish holiday and secure their investment while on vacation that's why they are pulling out the funds.

btc bullrun after chinese new year?

Isn't the end of the Chinese New Year is Friday?

So I guess we just need to wait a little further and see if this theory works or not. Personally, I think it will, but I don't know how much money can flow into the market when the Chinese started to buy bitcoin again. I will assume that if there's a bullrun, I see that it will go and touch $10K.

The question, is it sustainable or not? We have seen bitcoin recovering in a couple of days then dumps occurs. I don't see it sustaining it run. Been fluctuating between $8K-$9K. I hope that if this theory is correct we can break the $9K and then try to test $10K and see how the market will go from there.

I think that these places publishing FUD should be fined actually for the ruin they have caused many investors.

It's part of the game. whales are also the one funding media services to make a FUD so they can buy in a lower price again after they sold their shares.
