With that said. I have bitcoin to thanks for so much. I am happy with my life today, me and my family are much closer and happier and I have a good economy and it all is because of bitcoin!
Thank you bitcoin for giving me this opportunity.

Everyone has turning points in their life. Some meet a person, while others find the truth by talking to themselves. The important thing is to strive to be a good person no matter what happens. You've been through a lot of bad things too. Now, looking at what you have told me, it has matured you as an idea. You are starting to look to the future better.

Bitcoin has changed the lives of many of us and continues to do so. We need to have savings for every situation we face in life. Always keep cash. Keep investing. When you move forward in a planned way, you realize that many things are improving in your life. The most important thing is to learn from your previous harmful habits and let them go. That's why I congratulate you.

This is how much i have in my portfolio today.

BTC (Bitcoin) has indeed had a transformative impact on the lives of many crypto investors, and it's great to hear about your positive experience with it.
Yes, from your experience above, it illustrates the direct influence of Bitcoin which can be seen in various aspects, and here are some reasons why it changed the lives of some individuals, in my opinion, namely enabling individuals to achieve financial freedom, pursue their dreams, and secure a better future for themselves and their families and open up financial opportunities for individuals who previously faced barriers to traditional financial services, promoting financial inclusion and empowerment.

What a journey, you're doing great with your investments and it's up to you if you want to add some more cryptos to your portfolio. But if I'll do that in my portfolio, I wouldn't add more. While there will be people to justify that you should add more because whenever the bull run comes, there goes the different altcoins that will also experience the pump that Bitcoin shall have by next year or two. All are good and you only need to be consistent with what you've started, you don't panic when there are bad news but you'll learn it all and I think you already did though.

Thanks buddy! God bless.
Don't mention it, keep it up and God bless you too.  Wink

Portfolio growing every month is the biggest deal in this topic, because if you invest just once, then you will have to wait for bitcoin to grow incredibly high, and I am not sure how high it could even go. Even if we talk about 50x, which is a million dollars (and then some) it would still be just 50x return, so if you invest something like 1k dollars into it, you would have 50k and that is a good amount but it is not everything.
That's right, it's about consistency of DCAing and that's needed to be understood by the many. There's no problem if an investor only invests one time and he bought Bitcoin and will hold it for a very long time. But if you want to maximize your profits, there's a need for you to gain of how much you're holding and definitely, you'll spend money for buying it. So the return that we will get in the future will also depend on how consistent we are in buying more today or just by being stagnant.

However, if you keep investing into it like 100 dollars per month, and it does 10x, then it means you are going to be even richer by that logic. This is why it is a good start, even a great start, but then you need to keep on putting some money into bitcoin every single month, don't push yourself though, if you can't buy bitcoin a few months due to life hardship, that happens, it is normal.

@OP portfolio is looking good and as long as @OP hodl, the value of that portfolio will be life changing.

It is somehow tiring to read such lengthy posts as a wall of text is tiring to see itself but I am glad you are able to find or know BTC during your trouble times.

Sometimes story like will actually serve as a motivation for others who are also striving to grow up their portfolio to same extent or even more but I agree with you on the privacy aspect, your BTC is your financial belongings and anything that has to with the financial status of anyone should be kept to some level of actual privacy although your story is inspiring to me but makes or put curiosity on others to actually want to get to know the exact figures in your wallet.

It is always the best motivator, even other companies use life experiences to boost their client or members' morale and even use these life experiences to telt people learn something important.

I just wanted to share my story and give the forum the chance to learn me a little bit better.  Smiley

You don't really need to teach the forum about you, and no one is actually interested in your interpersonal life; it's about you, and to some extent you should keep it private. To me, who someone is does not really matter, but what they can share with the forum and what I can learn from them is what matters most to me. Every shared knowledge that is beneficial to me is what I value most and remember someone for, not what they actually think they are in life.

This is such a good motivational story for a lot of members here and it's really great that you started your Bitcoin journey back to then! I mean you could have started it back in 2019 when you were out of prison because there were a lot of good opportunities then in terms of Bitcoin's price but it doesn't matter since it's never too late and Bitcoin's price isn't that high right now to invest more.

I'm glad that your life is getting better and you've overcome your drug addiction. It's wonderful to see that you're happy with what you're doing. I'm pretty sure Bitcoin could also help a lot of people at certain points in their lives. For example, sometimes you might be in a situation where you're outside and have no access to money or you might encounter a problem when your wallet is lost. In those cases using Bitcoin would be the fastest option since it's online and cannot be physically lost. Smiley

I was in a country for holiday and had lost my wallet and passport, so I was in urgent need of some cash. My family could not send me any money online (at this time I did not know about bitcoin)
BUT.. maybe i don't remember but I had some hundreds of dollars in my PayPal account, so I asked around if anyone wanted to trade PayPal for cash. (People thinking i was a retarded robber maybe  Grin)
Anyway.. When I realised it was impossible i went back to my hotel room and open Google and brain storm and looking all online "How to change PayPal to cash instant".... But only came up to scam webiste's at least what I thinking in the time... Then after an hour I did find out localbitcoins and at that time, my life was gonna to take a huge positive change.
It's good to know you came across Bitcoin earlier on before now and still trusting it with your incredible portfolio, and I'm glad it did actually came to your aid in Thailand when you needed cash for basic transactions. But what I'm most happy about here is that Bitcoin helped in getting you financially stable after prison through your p2p trading, change you from drinking & smoking and making you now a good family man.

DODGE   - worth of 3.740:-
SOLANA  - worth of 1.760:-

This is a reasonable portfolio if I must confess, because I just did a rough research and got to understand that DKK means "Denish Krone" which is the official currency of the Kingdom of Denmark, and if converted to U.S dollar, 1usd is equal to 6.8Dkk. Whereas the sum total of your portfolio is 23,500Dkk, which is the same as or approximately 3,455usd  (i.e 23,500Dkk/6.8Dkk = 3,455usd). If I'm not mistaking.

I know USDT is probably not the invest currency to go, but I bought some because of avoid the problem I had with BTC transfer that happen like a month ago when the fee's was so high.  Smiley
But only if had you used a noncustodial Bitcoin wallet, you would have been able to select how much fees you were willing to pay prior those period of high transaction fees, which is why it's good to always keep our Bitcoin wallet where we own its private key, and not on an exchange where you have no control over your funds. e.g Electrum

There really is no reason for this as it could count as spam else, you just might end up thanking just anyone and everyone. It ain’t a bad idea to show gratitude or appreciation but this doesn’t work so well with the forum expectation on post qualities.
Hope this post doesn’t come with a thank you note though.

With all that is said in Op and the fact that, some people are still suffering indecision complex, it won’t be way too long and many would wish to have taken up some bitcoin investment at where they met it. Somehow, am cool with that as it trashes the greedy once who hope to reap the innovation and don’t truly see it for a future currency.

Just like what others have said, good job and congrats, any amount that your really earn being a investor, how big or small it is, is already a win, or shall I say it's a success story for us

However, it's not an easy path for you, and just like the rest of us, it's mentally tough to invest and then HODL and wait for the right time to sell. But if we have mastered it, for sure in the next bull run, your current investments will grow so I will suggest that you continue what you are doing and best of luck to your journey.

Bitcoin is indeed the best among the good. This limited supply coin has made a lot of difference for many people including me.
The positive changes experienced by each person are different so when I read your topic, I also feel happy that more and more people have gotten positive things from Bitcoin.

Congratulations to you CYBER_COWBOY.
I will not forbid you to buy other coins besides Bitcoin because the money is yours and it's up to you. If in my current position, the two coins you mentioned were in the portfolio, I would change them to Bitcoin so that they increase in volume.

sounds like an even amount exactly 23,500 Dollars ? at last if that is USD amount.

Nope as OP said, it is in DKK, not USD :

This is how much i have in my portfolio today. the amount is not in US DOLLARS its DKK.

I think 23.5k DKK should be equivalent to almost 3500 USD if I am not wrong?

Otherwise, OP congratulations to you for this change of your way of living!

No matter the material benefits, no matter the amounts, what really matters is the fact that you have been able to change your lifestyle, and learn how money works and how it could be effectively managed.

I wish you success and a good continuation, continue to stack the maximum of sats, and wait for some halvings if you can, you could then probably take a little retirement or some time for yourself apparently amply deserved, in any case, that's all I wish you!  Smiley

Although the story was lengthy, I found it quite enjoyable. It's fascinating how you initially encountered Bitcoin and have remained involved in the world of cryptocurrencies. It's true that you didn't fully grasp the potential of Bitcoin when you first encountered it; otherwise, you could have become a multibillionaire by now. Nonetheless, you currently hold a substantial amount of cryptocurrency that still has the potential to transform your life once again. Patience is key, as the cryptocurrency market is highly volatile, but with time, you may reap significant profits.

The good news was that you never had any scam experience, despite how you started all by yourself. Some people get into Bitcoin without the help of any experienced Bitcoiners, and they end up landing themselves in some bad situations that could give them some misconceptions about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency entirely. Congratulations on being successful in the space, just as you have described. Bitcointalk is a place where you can get every assistant you need about Bitcoin and every other cryptocurrency.

I don't know how favorable it's been for you to make a good profit over short-term investors in Bitcoin, but you should also learn how to hold some Bitcoin for the long term.

Some people are here for short term because they though they can easily earn profits from this market.
Most people who were a victim of scam were the ones who usually jump on too-good-to-be-true promises.
But if you will stick to most established alts in this market, you will avoid a lot of these scam projects.

I just swapped some BTC to USDT because I wanted to have it, just because avoid losing to much if BTC fall down very much.
Or if this problems with BTC FEE's happens again.
And also I have a small loan service here on the forum (that is dead but anyway) it can be good to offer USDT there to. Smiley
Maybe its better if i swap back and take to small loss the exchange fee cost.

First, I must say congratulations to the members who made the effort to finish reading your story. It's actually not easy for me to read through such a long thread, especially not this one.

Secondly, congratulations to you, the OP, for starting your investment life. Every amount of money anyone decides to invest in something is actually what is called an investment, and as such, the person is qualified to be called an investor. Investors mean you, as an individual, You have willingly channeled some part of your assets into something that can give you some financial return, either in the stock market, Bitcoin or any other crypto, or real estate. The invested amount does not matter; it's what you have that will give you a return, and profit is all based on the invested amount. When profit is shared among investors, no matter how little your investment is, you will definitely get your own share.

I had a copy of my passport in my phone so with that and do a selfie i created an account on LCB.
So far, this is your biggest mistake I see. I’d advise you to never do this again and try to find out ways to buy BTC without having to deal with personal documents.

Especially because you’ve withdrawn the money in cash. What do you do if next week you’d be asked to prove you haven’t made profit? Or scenario 2: there’s a coup in your country. The new leadership decides Bitcoin users are criminals.
  • I bought using a Bitcoin ATM that requires no personal documents to allow you to purchase.
  • You bought from localbitcoins who now has your name, face and ID.

Which one of us gets caught and punished?

I’m really curious, why did you buy so much USDT? BTC fees are high but if you asked me it’s pointless to hold that much money in a digital currency that is 1:1 with USD. It’s probably easier to just buy physical USD instead. Grin Do you have a reason you have that much money in a crypto that is highly centralized and provides as much as (or less than) ole fiat does?

P.S. I'm tired of reading a huge canvas of your text (I'm sure this will scare away many or they will be too lazy to read so much). Smiley This is a forum, not a book, to read large amounts of text in posts, so it's better to be concise in telling your stories.

I do not pay much attention to such post there's no day I won't come across similar post exactly with  a paraphrase methods. And again, getting tired of reading length post were op can just write a few line to summarize all it takes than going dip down to explain all manner of tells that concerns how it changes their lives. Although there are some post which I do love reading to an end but sometimes they forgotten that their post titles already given the reader were they are driving to. Sometimes it is another way to cheap merits.

This is not the first time I have heard people tell stories like this about how bitcoin changed their lives, but until now I have not noticed one very significant detail. I just had an idea why people see "light at the end of the tunnel" at btc. I guess it has to do with hope. If OP up to a certain point introduced the wrong way of life, then after interacting with bitcoin, his life orientations changed. Why? Because he gained in faith that btc will change lives through investment. Because he will not have to remain a beggar after many years of work. Why save money if it will depreciate very soon - it is better to spend it on dubious pleasures. Perhaps the author felt something similar. Not knowing how best to preserve the value of money. Until found out about BTC. Bitcoin gives hope for the opportunity to secure a future with at least an acceptable level of prosperity. When you don’t know what you will live on tomorrow, it creates discomfort due to uncertainty. Bitcoin gives some certainty to its investors, hope. Am I right @CYBER_COWBOY?

P.S. I'm tired of reading a huge canvas of your text (I'm sure this will scare away many or they will be too lazy to read so much). Smiley This is a forum, not a book, to read large amounts of text in posts, so it's better to be concise in telling your stories.

I will better start by saying a big congratulations to you @op, we all have our different stories relating to bitcoin and how it has changed our lives, bitcoin has never left anybody the same, expect those who are skeptical and have refused to take it serious, or maybe those who are just starting out and bought their first bitcoin when the price was a bit higher and now, they are contemplating on whether to keep holding or sell at the loss to recover what ever amount of money left - regardless of this, bitcoin as never left any body same way, it either impacts you positively or negatively.

And for your enquiry on whether there is any other coin you are missing, well, this board is purely dedicated to discussions related to bitcoin alone, and as long as this board is concerned, buying and holding bitcoin is enough, but if you really wanna diversity more into other crypto assets, I will advice you ask about other coins to possibly invest in in the altcoin board, I believe there are thousands of them, you just have to do your own research so you don't end up buying into a potential scam or rug pull token.

Salute to you OP, you have faced some much ups and downs in your life and i am very happy that you handled them rightly and made up your mind to change your life. TBVH, i am a religious person and i have never used any kind of alcohol or drugs and i always tried not to spend time in bad company such as gambling and another type of people involved in small crimes which leads to bigger ones. The point is, i know how it feels when you give up your bad side of life and try to run for a good one and i am also so amazed that how you met with BTC in that journey and how much you understand its potential.

I am so amazed, that it is that much hard to change your PayPal currency into a local one while it is easy to convert your BTC into local currency. Well, i do know how it becomes easy when you have BTC ATM which we do not have in our country but still, i thought Paypal works everywhere (except our country hehe). I have also gave a though to become a p2p trader of BTC but you do need cash for that and as a student i do not have that, so i gave up that idea, now i am focusing on earning BTC via my skills.

Definitely you changed your life because you mentioned you were out from prison and started doing all these so it's really a positive and now you have over 20K in your crypto portfolio which is great achievement too. But I advise you to have some cash as well unless your Fiat is going through too much inflation and also you can minimise the allocation of USDT and increase the BTC portfolio value as much as possible.

You are doing great and keep learning about trading and in general of making money then you will reach certain heights that you never dreamt of.

Good luck buddy!

Hello dear forum friends, let me tell little bit about my bitcoin story.

- First time I ever crossed ways with bitcoin was in 2019.

I had a copy of my passport in my phone so with that and do a selfie i created an account on LCB.
Then I checked it out and looked the offers and I was so nervous and skeptical about this  Grin. Anyway! I find somebody that sold BTC with PayPal so I started there.
I bought my first bitcoin ever (for the reason to get cash in a later stage) Everything went smooth, I paid he released and both was happy.
Now my next problem to get the BTC to cash in the country I was in (Thailand).. After just a couple of minutes I find a lot of people buying BTC with the offer "Cash at ATM".
It works like this I open a trade from his offer, I go to the ATM and put in a code and got my money then I release the BTC.
I was so nervous the first time and thinking it will never work  Grin, But it did! I had my cash now and all my panic problems solved. Thanks to bitcoin & localbitcoins.
Thanks to this when I looked around the website I saw the opportunity to actually make money from BTC with "buy for one price sell for another"
I started my "buy&sell BTC" carrier and it went amazing, i started to get quite huge profit relativity fast.
But... I still wasn't in a happy place in life, drank a lot of alcohol, used drugs and was generally not happy and in a dark place, i was just out from prison 2019 and was living my life like its no tomorrow.
And so it did go on until like a year ago, when I decide to stop drink alcohol and using drugs and focus on build up my life and get in touch with my family in a good way again.
So I did...I started to save a lot of money and had a lot of money over now when I did not drink or use drugs. (I been always making good money - but ending up spending it very fast)

I signed up on the forum this year in February and since then I have bought BTC and some other currency's that I store and never touch at any time. I just letting it grow.
Why did I not invest earlier? Because I wanted to understand BTC and crypto currency more before I invested money in it, and this forum is a great way to actually do that.
(THANK YOU TO ALL MEMBERS HERE) - For helping me answer all questions even if them have sounded stupid.  Kiss Kiss Kiss
Anyway.. since February I have started to invest and keep the BTC i earn from my p2p-trading profit instead of selling it and get cash.

With that said. I have bitcoin to thanks for so much. I am happy with my life today, me and my family are much closer and happier and I have a good economy and it all is because of bitcoin!
Thank you bitcoin for giving me this opportunity.

So how look my portfolio look today?
BTC       - worth of 13.200:-
USDT     - worth of  4.800:-
DODGE   - worth of 3.740:-
SOLANA  - worth of 1.760:-
The amount is not in US DOLLARS its DKK.

This is how much i have in my portfolio today.
The more important is the thing that I started my invest journey. The portfolio grows in value every month  Smiley
I know USDT is probably not the invest currency to go, but I bought some because of avoid the problem I had with BTC transfer that happen like a month ago when the fee's was so high.  Smiley

Do I miss some "need to have currency"? or have missed something else?
All tips are welcome!

But one thing I can promise you all, that my BTC/CRYPTO-Journey has just begin and I will go much deeper in this and learn and explore a lot more.
Im still a rookie in the game  Grin
