Yup, China is going HAM.  I reckon it will be India next once bitcoin becomes more mainstream.

Well, it was expected. China's the world's largest country by the size of its people, so it's logical there's more trade there. China also happens to have much higher growth than anywhere else in the Western world. Then China has the world's largest army and it's the world's largest polluter. How long before China is the world's richest country?

I know we're talking about trade volume, but can it be said that there are more people in China than in the US and Europe who are using bitcoin? I surely don't know whats going on in China but it doesn't seem to me that there is as much activity as in the west.

China people are rich if theres more people know about bitcoin i believe the price will raise again.
They also have cheap overheads, so it makes it a perfect place for setting up a mining operation .

I am expecting a majority of the trade volume will come out of it.

Yes, this website is very useful and I use it everyday.  It's very easy to see the estimated difficulty at the top and also volumes across numerous exchanges.
Another very interesting link for those who don't know is http://blockchain.info/
