For the moment , the consensus of this forum or at least what the majority is using is this www.electrum.org, the electrum wallet.

How did you arrive at the conclusion that the consensus of the forum is Electrum?  There are many good wallets out there including MultiBit, Bitcoin Core, Bitcoin Knots, Bitcoin Unlimited, Mycellium, etc.

Perhaps it would be better to just point users to this website and let them choose for themselves from the list of well known wallets:

Either there is something wrong at DarkWallet (in which case you will not be able to access your bitcoins until the developer of DarkWallet fixes the problem)

Or you have been scammed and DarkWallet has stolen your bitcoins (in which case there it nothing you can do to get the bitcoins back unless you know who operates DarkWallet).

This thread made me interested and I studied the DarkWallet website. A very shady one to say the least. Also the reviews were not good enough and even the developers were saying it is in beta status , don't try with real money unless you are willing to take the risk. I think the second option sounds more plausible to me but both options mentioned by Danny are right.

Since you are a newbie I guess it's a newbie error to not choose the right wallet. For the moment , the consensus of this forum or at least what the majority is using is this www.electrum.org, the electrum wallet. Try it and these problems will vanish forever.

Yes, but it does not show up in my wallet  Angry

Try to find a function to export your private key for the address and then you can import that key into a different wallet like Electrum.

...I did not consider all this two possibility...
It is obvious, that, do you have downloaded just from a trusted source!!!
if is not so, all the two possibility above are legit!

Hello everybody, first of all, I am pretty new in this stuff :-D.

Yesterday I transferred 0.09885 BTC from bitcoin.de to my unused addresse: 1Jr15PwD9UvvXe823gVUY9f3Zy2UKZXZuL at Dark Wallet. It never arrived. Does anyone know what might have happened?

Here is a screenshot of my wallet. As you can see, there is no BTC.

i dont know well how darkwallet works...
but i think, it have a local blockchain like Bitcoin-Core, ex QT-Wallet.
If yes, maybe, you need to synce your local block chain, before to see the right balance

You already have received the coins in your address here check this out.

I don't know why people tend to use wallets which doesn't give them private keys to their addresses? if this case is like that then whatever happens is on you, you should never trust your bitcoins to anything but the saved (somewhere safe) private keys.
