If someone lost his funds, he would've lost them three years ago and not now. I mean everything including passwords and usernames was hacked and logically, the hackers works fast because they know the service will make warnings for the users so they probably started logging into accounts or cracking them long time ago. If that happened, I don't see why would anyone keep using the same password over the years.
https://haveibeenpwned.com/ is a great tool/database to check if your account data came into the wrong hands. Once can also subscribe to notifications from them if your email/username appears in one of the published breaches. got one today about BTC-E.
It's an old breach, but the content of it became known only now. If you still use the same password as in 2014 and no 2-factor auth, time to take action!
