https://btc-e.com/ is loading fine now, loading lighting fast now. They need to upgrade their DDos protection to prevent such downtime.

there are two possibilities, I think the attack could come from within, because they will soon be a scam or carried off like mt. GOX may, or attack from outside the purely done by some hackers who have long targeted e-BTC. who knows ..

A few on r/bitcoinmarkets reckon actual accounts have been hacked but they're probably trying to psych each other out. Hope everyone gets back in soon.

Most of time it's only for a few hours or they will run with your money. Some also abuse DDOS attack as a fake excuse. Let's hope they fix the problems and get back normal online.

Please forgive if this is "old" news and already posted, but it seems that BTC-E is under a DDoS attack and the site has been down for a few hours.  Anyone have further updates or info...?
