You think if btc-e was to steal money, they would steal just your $1000? $1000 for them is a fraction of a peanut.

If they were to steal, they would pull a gox on all of us.

I suggest you get in contact with them AND your CC company to follow exactly where the money went.

I am not saying they would never run with the money, but they would certainly not run with just your $1000.

edit: I withdrew 3 times to paypal and twice to VISA larger amounts than yours, and had no issues so far. I agree that their communication seems to be very slow but 6 weeks is far off. Did you open a ticket? Open another ticket if so and try again.

Yes, I double-checked and triple checked the number before I entered it.

This is very surprising. I am using them for almost 18 months now, and never had any problems. Are you sure that you entered the card number correctly? If you enter the wrong card number, then the money will go to someone else's account.

About 6 weeks ago I tried to withdraw $1000 to a visa card (the minimum amount allowed) but the money never arrived.

I have written to their support 4 times and still not had a response ...or my money.

Anyone else had similar problems with them?

...and does anyone have a suggestion how I can get my money back? Get solicitors or the poice involved?
