I noticed btc-e.com is down too.

I was on earlier today, and I saw no news notice that there was to be a maintenance window.

Shortly before my twitter post asking about it going down (@kewal), it stopped responding. I was in mid trollbox post.  When I refreshed the page, I got the Maintenance page.

I'm pretty sure this was NOT scheduled.  I suspect they are in fire-fighting mode.

I hope they get it up soon - it is time to buy LTC in preparation for the price rise.

I've no idea as far as prices are concerned, it won't affect BTC value? even on that site much anyway, but maybe LTC price will crash? I doubt it...

btc-e.com appears to be under maintenance. Does anyone know if this was scheduled? Does anyone have contact with the Russians on bitcointalk.org?

There is not much info on the site, this is how it reads when I visit,

Maintenance, Site is under maintenance. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Any thoughts on how long or how this will effect prices? I'm amazed to see that so far BTC price and LTC prices have remained stable so maybe this was scheduled after all. I'd love to get some feedback from others who have also noticed this change.
