its time to buy now dude
not only buying everything is ok besides selling huge amounts of bitcoins

Not sure if $267 is already a good entry point. Wait until $250 as it may go down a little bit. Patience pays off, trust me. Smiley

$267 or $250 might not matter in the long run.  Smiley

well yeah i wanted to say that its better to do nothing than sell it what lowers the price

We're not discussing the same thing aren't we? I mean, $267 is not a good price to buy back in if you would ask me, not selling.  Wink

We're going up. Best tactic is buy and hold.
I don't expect quick big pump, better now is slowly but steady growth with 400$ in April/May.

Me too. A slow and gradual rise is more ideal than a quick growth. It gives weak hands that urge to sell-off due to nervousness and yes, weakness.

$272.91 03/04/2015- 5:51 PM EST

Im calling for it to continue coming down for a few days.

$267.87 03/05/2015- 12:40 PM EST

More drops incoming.

Hoping to see sub-$250 then buy some coins. Maybe I'm just being too optimistic on buying some cheap coins before it bounce back up.

you already had your chance to buy at 230 and lower.  what were you waiting for then?  $10 coins?  really?

It will be at 230 soo enough.. no rush to buy now.

I think specially today, it's equally likely that we go north of 300 or visit 230 again, due to the auction.

I doubt this auction will have any (negative) impact on the price. The coins bought at the auction (approx. worth two weeks of mining) are not gonna see the market any time soon. The price is too discounted in comparison to where we were one year ago, so it is rather an opportunity to increase stacks, than buy and dump.

Oops! I think you're right. Either way now he's got me thinking the price went up so much anticipating this event. Undecided

This event is only one of the possible reasons why the price went up, anyways the winner wont have official results until friday the 6th, so if there is going to be a cashing in
of the coins, were soon about to find out.
Given the news and development regarding bitcoin in the last month, and the fact that we have allready fallen 1000$ from the ath price, i doubt the coins are going to be dumped,
it would seam like a smarter idea to keep them until a better rally takes place.

Buy in chunks, but don't go all in at one price.

Buy some small size now, if the price goes lower, buy alot more later.

Or

Buy some small size now, if the price goes higher, buy a little more later.

Rinse, repeat.

What should you do?

Have a Plan.  Until you have that I don't think you should take any position at all.

When you have that plan, stick to it, whether it's a gain or loss.  It will take a lot of the emotion out of the trade.

Idk about any dates but you have a good idea. I think I might do the same as well. The price will temporarily drive down because of the cheap coins auctioned off, and then I can scope them up and the price will likely go back up within a week.

If you are going to think about it per btc, if it drops the maximum you can lose is 280$, if bitcoin completely goes to zero which it will likely not. Buying 1 btc with a good salary is not very expensive, and if worse comes to worse the max you can lose is the price you buy it at.

What you should do is stop asking other people who also have no idea. You may get a lot of confident answers, but these are guesses. There is no way to determine the future. The more important question is "What do you think?". If you think it's going to rise then buy some. It's a bet so don't sell your house, but try it out as a payment system and maybe you will be able to spend more value than you bought.

Asking the price next week is like asking if you will need an umbrella on a day 6 months from now.

Decide yourself whether you have the cash and whether buying with your saving is going to cause a dent towards your financial status. Oh come on, if you are getting 1 btc for 280 and suddenly it drops to 250, it's not like losing 30 is going to spell the end of the world. Having said that, it doesn't mean that you should invest everything you have into something you can't afford to lose.

Well for some people it would mean the end of the world. And for a lot of people it would mean that they panic-sell their coin, and buy back soon afterwards due to the fear of missing out... It's a vicious cycle. You have to decide about your long-term-strategy in advance!

I gotta add: Be extremely careful if you plan on going long on leverage these days. The uptrend seems promising and may continue even stronger, but a slight dip may get you margin-called sooner than you think!

Yeah, that's very important to keep in mind, in my opinion! If you invest now (without leverage) and there's a dip, you can just wait until the price goes up again. With leverage you can theoretically end up losing all(!!!) your coins!

If you dont trade on leverages, the profits you can take are safer, but are also very much smaller. There are only few people here with enough funds to just buy in and sit back while
the corrections take place, for the rest of us its just another day of taking chances, and honestly, ill rather be forced to buy back in higher than not try to earn on a dip.
Whatever makes you sleep at night in the end, its your money/profits ure risking..

cheers

Well it's more like gambling that way... Leveraged trading is more risky and can give you higher profits. I think it's not for everyone. Sure, the volatility is a trader's wet dream, but it's also incredibly dangerous if you're not familiar with stop-losses, etc...

Also OP make sure you aren't trading more than 10% of your current net worth. Bitcoin is highly unstable and its possible for it to crash, or rise, without notice. Its educated gambling if you want to think about it like that.

I don't think its gonna drop, or at least I hope so. We went up almost 10% (maybe even more) in the past couple days from 230 to 285 I think. Price is doing good lately!
Bitcoin price is stale for 2 days now. Price around $280 seems to be a trend for now. I will be surprised if the price would drop now. I predict that it will be stable and gradually will reach $300.

Well its hard to say. The Marshal auction is yet to happen, and in the onset of the previous 2 auctions there has been a price fall right before the sale.
So we can only hope, as there are no guarantees.
Hopefully the price doesn't fall that much, imagine if in fiat the value dropped for every big auction, we need to get large enough so that auctinos like this don't affect the price at all.

From winkdex.com I see that in one day it went from 270 to 285 which is a pretty big change if you own a lot of btc. I hope it stabilizes and reaches at least 300.

Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY! It will crash right after you buy, leaving you high and dry, holding worthless bitcoins.

lol, i cant understand if ure serious or being ironic, but anyways statements like "worthless bitcoins" are totaly uncalled for, or you wouldnt be here with the rest of us.

@OP i would personaly wait with the buy for a correction of some sort, but if you have enough fiat to hold your investment for quite some time, then by all means buy and dont look at the price
for atleast a couple of months.
Even tho we just had a trend breaking rise that is to be corrected, the overall feeling im getting is that it will continue to rise later on, but for now, im first waiting that beartrap.

cheers

Buy the dips, I guess. People are anticipating a drop/consolidation at some point. We could go above $300 and should then experience some kind of drawback. ibankbtc thinks a drop is 60% probable at this point, and 1 week later we're again in the green.

Buy a little now and buy a little later if the price drops again.  Always keep some cash on hand.  1 satoshi = $0.000000275.  You don't have to go all in.

there is no moon countdown or something that indicates a pump.

You could either buy now and take some risks or wait until we consolidate in the up 300 range, so the risk of a correction back to 270 will be smaller

should i wait till it drops mid 230 or buy now its giving me a headache im hopelessly confused i dont want to buy at 400 wot should i do help

Do you ask other people for help with other things you do? What to have to eat? Whether to go out or not? Crossing the road? Cars coming what should you do? Cross? Wait? Curl up in a ball and cry? You need to make your own mind up on these things as anybody elses opinion is just biased based on speculation and their usually misinformed opinion. Sometimes you just need to take the plunge but only you can decide whether the time is right.

buy now, use part of it to buy some nice things and part of it to see what it brings you in a year? If not you can always find comfort in the stuff you did buy with bitcoin and thus contributed to the bitcoin economy Smiley
