So I went back and checked, the 0.018 BTC was from Gemini, Not Coinbase.
My girlfriend also just told me she got an email saying from Coinbase (it's her CB account) that they had delayed the withdrawal for 72 hours "for security reasons".
So it looks like that withdrawal was not lost, just delayed.
Well that's good news then... glad it wasn't anything too serious like malware or incorrect addresses used! Wink

The address I sent it to was:

1G3BdSyNiyLGtyEN84T2wcvaGDzaZfGG3i
That is indeed the address that shows in the transaction that you said Gemini sent you:

I emailed Gemini support about this and they were able to provide links showing that my transaction went through on the blockchain, See Quote below:
"It appears that the withdrawal has been completed after reviewing the transaction hash. After taking a look at the transaction I can see that it has been confirmed 6+ times on the blockchain.
https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/tx/c03f8e947f6974d41c58c03c92d00d3a533b878bc9fc348cdeed38e42161e8f2 "

That transaction shows 0.01803066 BTC being received at 1G3BdSyNiyLGtyEN84T2wcvaGDzaZfGG3i

So, the big question is, what address did you use in Coinbase? Because it would appear that Coinbase have not sent the coins to that address. I would suggest that you log into Coinbase and lookup the withdrawal from there and find out the txid and/or the address that it was sent to.

Self-proclaimed Genius
I recently switch crypto exchanges (From Coinbase to Gemini). Last night I withdrew the last of my BTC from Coinbase and some newly purchased BTC from Gemini to the same Electrum BTC address.
-snip-
"It appears that the withdrawal has been completed after reviewing the transaction hash. After taking a look at the transaction I can see that it has been confirmed 6+ times on the blockchain.

This is what I noticed based from that bold phrase:
Either one of the two possible outputs doesn't have two recent incoming transactions so those aren't your Electrum BTC address.
The other one looks like an exchange change address.

  • 1G3BdSyNiyLGtyEN84T2wcvaGDzaZfGG3i - Last TXs: 2020-04 and 2019-08, can't be this one
  • 3JsffzphrK2GpRJcLixKyxn7HuF2xn8CqH  -   Last TXs: 2020-04, just one
  • bc1quq29mutxkgxmjfdr7ayj3zd9ad0ld5mrhh89l2: Received a total of 429,660.48723108 BTC (you're a 'whale' perhaps)

So, it could be a different Bitcoin address, it was changed by something or Gemini is lying.

Edit for the new reply: 1G3BdSyNiyLGtyEN84T2wcvaGDzaZfGG3i only have one recent transaction, it can't be the same address that you've used to withdraw from Coinbase.

first open your Electrum wallet and check if you are synced with the network.
1) go to Tools > Network and you should see the number in front of Blockchain (which is the block height you locally have) be at least 626,370
2) go to your History tab and press Ctrl+F and paste the transaction ID (c03f8e...) in your starting post in there to see if the tx even exists in your wallet
3) go to your Address tab (if you don't see it, enable it from your View > Show Addresses) and do the same Ctrl+F and paste your address (1G3Bd...) to see if your wallet even has that address.

I am using it on a computer, I have checked the connection, closed and reopened. I'm pretty sure its not a connection issue.

The bottom left corner just says Balance: and shows my total in mBTC.

The address I sent it to was:

1G3BdSyNiyLGtyEN84T2wcvaGDzaZfGG3i

Thanks for the help!

Hello,

I recently switch crypto exchanges (From Coinbase to Gemini). Last night I withdrew the last of my BTC from Coinbase and some newly purchased BTC from Gemini to the same Electrum BTC address.

My withdrawal from Coinbase took about an hour and I had an "Unverified" entry for that hour before it resolved and hit my wallet.

My Gemini withdrawal never showed up in my wallet, "Unverified" or otherwise.

But if thats the case why dont I see it in my wallet?? Please help...

Are you using Electrum on a computer or app? You might want to double check your connection, if they're not syncing you won't be able to pull the most recent transactions.

https://bit.ly/387FXHi lightning theory
If you load up electrum what does it say in the bottom left? Does it have text or does it show a balance of 0?

If you go to the addresses tab, can you see the address you attempted to send to and post it here (cross reference with a confirmation email to check it's right if you want too).
