Wasn't JP prediction for bitcoin to hit 140k this year. Sometimes is easier said then done. Well, I just red that prediction on an article and I can not see it again, but there are many people that are saying that it is a possibility that the price may certainly end up with that price at the end of this year, but basically people will surely go with their instinct than believe a mere speculation that is why there are many panic sellers, and I think the increase on the price was due to many transaction online and Blockchain was very notable at that time.

That was the many speculation on the price of Bitcoin and I think it will if we look on the recent slight dip to $46,000 USD it came back up again to $51,000 USD after a while so I think it is safe to say that it will not go down beyond that line and a probability hitting the $100,000 USD this year is highly unlikely.

I think 50K is everyone's target even more than that, I mean maybe some people or investors are targeting to sell at 50K so when the price reaches the target many people sell because of big profits.
And when there is a small drop, more and more people are selling it out of panic and don't want the profit to decrease and that makes bitcoin price go down and now bitcoin price is back to 50K.
and bitcoin movements lately have been proven and are believed to benefit everyone who wants to get involved and we will look at the next bitcoin price and hope those who own bitcoin currently hope or aim to hit 100K.

Yep, it's fun to watch this after few years of bear market, but honestly I wouldn't also mind of BTC stayed a bit lower for a while as it is a chance to acquire more. Once you get into hodl mode, you stop worrying about the price and focus on the goal, and that is to acquire as much BTC as possible because as much as BTC goes up, harder it gets to acquire more.

I think how the price is going is pretty impressive and I really like it, Bitcoin just hit all time high which is $50k this is new in the history of bitcoin and I believe very soon another all time high will be seen. Currently bitcoin just hit the all time high but I really believe bitcoin price is still very low, I believe bitcoin is still going to pump hard in the next few weeks we won't see bitcoin in this price range. So I want everyone to be another all time high in the next coming weeks lot's of people are expecting dump currently but I don't think there will be anything like dump now the only thing am expecting now is correction which is normal.

Bitcoin is really in a pretty good position and long-term growth. I recently read analyzes by experts who claimed that Bitcoin is indeed at the beginning of a prolonged rise. So maybe you're right and that's ATH.

In my honest opinion, despite that I am not a fan of predictions, I could see that BTC might reach at least $55k or more before the love month ends. I would like to congratulate those who have bought and hold Bitcoin while it was still cheap back then. I think there is no stopping Bitcoin right now to grow and go mainstream even more around the world.

It is hard to stop Bitcoin if it begins to add thousands to its price. If Bitcoin passed 50k (yes it did) we can wait for 54k-56k levels to soon be reached. Currently, Bitcoin is walking around $51k, any time it can add this to the pocket.

Since the price of the Bitcoin market is footing by the level of market demand and supply, it totally no hard to manipulate the price of the market if an investor holding about $2Billion worth of Bitcoin dump his holding.
Having said, we need to be realistic when predicting the price of the market not to use the current market trend which may change at any moment in making predictions.

If there is a supply crunch, then the possibility is there. Right now the institutions are jumping in and buying up all the available coins, and they are saying that they will hold the coins for the long term (10-15 years). I don't know whether they will stick to their word, but if it happens then the exchange rates can go up much beyond 100K in the next few years. Individual investors are more prone to short-term investment and they may sell their coins once the target is achieved. But the same is not the case with institutional investors. Their entry can make a big difference.

The expectations of another ATH would somehow be a tentative scenario, because everyone is now enjoying glorious days with bitcoin. Many people used the current situation as a good time to earn greater profit, instead of long term holdings. We may see $50k per btc to fluctuate and have stabilized value at this level, and some altcoins also starts to develop a good market. I think the achievements made by bitcoin today is already a big history of all time.

Yes, $51k and going strong, unlike yesterdays touching $50k, it was followed by a huge sell. But the good news is that we have rebounded and going to sustain this price and then surpassing another all time high in the $60k-$80k range next month. The fun has just began.

When I saw the chart of bitcoin price in largest time frame I am sure that bitcoin price will keep increase, likely it will surpass $52000 or more. It seems that many bitcoin holders or investors are very confident since Elon Musk investing in bitcoin. I still don't see any signal to sell my bitcoin, the good news greatly affect the market while the bad news about bitcoin likely ignored by people. Now more people see bitcoin in positive way.

The price is still going so we might even see a $55K or a $60K this week. The price is so quick to rise, that is why the chance of hitting a 6-digit price this year is not impossible.

The previous rally lasted for almost 24 months and not 10 as you claim. By mid-2015, the exchange rates were fluctuating at $225-$250 per coin. The rally started from that point. We are not done yet obviously since we have reached this new ATH not too long ago and in fact, we are still going strong which I believe will not be the last time we witness a new ATH this year. The question is, who will be the next big-time person to invest in this high price? Whoever they are, they should invest now quickly because there is no sign of stoppage of bitcoin's price in the market. everything is going strong even the top Altcoins are doing their best as well. This date will be recorded in history because we are talking about $50,000 here and that's a huge price man.

I haven't check the blockfolio for a days only then here what i have read here in the forum, a great news indeed. These milestone that bitcoin had reached deserves to be clebrated but of course to those who has a bitcoin on their hard wallet or digital wallet i guess those bitcoin of yours will gonna stay there for a quite long as long as bitcoin keeps on soaring its value. Maybe the price correction may still be expected but this i guess wouldn't affect much of bitcoins current market status.

Glad that I just HODL my BTC and not sell it during the pandemic. I'm still gonna hodl it 'til I can coz' crypto like Bitcoin is really a long term investment. I bought my first BTC way back 2 years ago on one of the top crypto exchange and just shorting it when it started to pump. I guess I'll still buy Bitcoin even if it reached the $100k price.

Yes, surprise after surprise was done by bitcoin yesterday it has reached the newest ATH again, and it looks like the $ 50K barrier has opened indicating that bitcoin will continue to hit again in the future.
whether the influence of the Halving really proves there will be a phenomenon this year for the price of bitcoin !!!
time is still long and the possibility continues and we are waiting for it.

We have already passed a $51k mark and the price is not stopping. I think we are going to see $60k by the end of February. The only thing that scares me are FOMO and fear indexes. They are close to maximum. I dont know for how long holders are going to keep their Bitcoins before their will start a massive fixing profit campaign. It is hard to stop Bitcoin if it begins to add thousands to its price. If Bitcoin passed 50k (yes it did) we can wait for 54k-56k levels to soon be reached. Currently, Bitcoin is walking around $51k, any time it can add this to the pocket.

An hour back or so only it has crossed 50k and now it is almost at 51k. The speed at which it is growing is just tremendous. If it can hold above 50k then the rise could be good reaching till 53-54k in short time only. But first major huddle will be to sustain above 50k for few days. Seeing it above 50k in start of 2021 means good journey ahead.

This price was expected after the Tesla involvement with Bitcoin and the announcement of $1.5 billion purchace by this corporation. Bitcoin was at a waiting point above $30k and it is still bullish at the current price. I can't say this will end soon.

What I can certainly say is that it will keep rising in parabolic ways and at a point it will reach a price that will be unsustainable, perhaps at 80k or 100k or maybe a little higher, and then there will be an 80% correction as usual. As far as I am concerned for the current cycle Bitcoin has reached a great ATH price but the support in terms of turning bearish is way lower right now.

I don't think bitcoin is going to stop when it hit $60k this year with the speed of growth in the price of bitcoin I believe we are going to achieve more then $60k because the year is still young and we still have a long way to go and anything can happen in the price of bitcoin before the year comes to an end to me.$100k is achievable.

It is possible. Bitcoin won't stop with this ATH alone. Though, the market has been corrected this past week as it is difficult to break through the profit-taking defense at $ 49k. But in the end, it was resolved and why, if Strategy continues to hand over $ 600 million in bitcoin as a promise then bitcoin still has no reason to stop the race at this value. I assume that $ 56k by the end of this February.

Its like me when celebrating New Year.
When it reaches 12 Midnight, me and all of us in our family are happy but minutes later we will be back to normal.

What I'm trying to say is yes we've reached $50,000 and you are happy with it right but minutes after reaching it, you will be back to your normal self and your excitement will fade away. I don't if that is the nature of the people in general. One thing more is that it didn't stayed for a long time on that price range as traders got liquidated on that price pushing the price go back below $50,000.

$50,000 is expected already to be reached and knowing that there are some news coming up, institutions involved in crypto and other good news 6-digit price "might" be reached this year

So if the wall street journal is so positive and correct, then it can only be good. If the 50k won't be broken soon, then it's only a matter of time. Excerpt from the article that indicates where to buy:

We can't compare bitcoin's super fast rally though, this is unchartered territory for us, so the pattern is very new. Yes, correction should occur technically, but I doubt that we will see a huge crash as others have predicted or would have wanted to happen.

$60k-$70k is doable even this month, although the price dip after he hit $50k, it's moving upward again and we might surpassed it again today and then continue to $52k-$56k.

In the big Time Frame, bitcoin prices are still in an uptrend, I'm sure the price will hit a new ATH in the next few weeks or months.
But there should be a correction because for several weeks bitcoin has risen quite high, but after the correction it should have touched the 60k usd or 70k usd area.

Funny how a few days ago JP morgan is yet again throwinf shade at bitcoin, calling it names and such, but as soon as bitcoin hits new pricepoints they start wagging their tails, I assure you that thee guys wil use bitcoin to take over the market once again so always keep an eye out, we knew how awfully bad the banking system was, we must rise above it and declare bitcoins and cryptocurrency as the future of money.

That is a really specific number to land on. Maybe alts can keep up with the growth but I am not the expert here. The price follows rules, those rules and those rules followed for hundreds of years as from the time the people started trading the psychology has never changed. Everything goes in cycles, shorter cycles, longer cycles but that's the truth. If you don't know when to buy or sell, follow the rules... that's it.

I am pretty sure or else I believe that there will be another ATH again and can't wait to see when it would be happen, maybe tomorrow? Next week? Or next month? We don't know but one thing I know is that there will be again a new ATH aside from what bitcoin hits right now, but what we are sure right now is that this day will be remembered as the very all time high that has been made in the history of bitcoin. This will really brought a new hype to the people and also to the market.

Reaching $50k have been great but it was a psychological threshold that didn't make bitcoin stay there for long a lot of people wanted to take profit at that stage so that is why it peaked for a short period and the gown downhill after those profiteers dumped some of their coins.
I expect from bitcoin to solidate in the $49k-48kfor few days before pushing up again to reach $53k-$54k.

saylor will know a lot more than we do. or when I think of rwitter and square, it will be ... that is something special. I wouldn't say that we will see the next doubling in 52 days, but something will change soon. by that I mean mastercard! you publish an announcement, although it is not really clear how you want to implement it. that gives the impression that you've overslept and now want to catch up. the dump today is big and it shows that it has been sold a lot, which is good to clear the way for those who buy new and hodl. Next goal at $ 55k

I think the next ATH is around 55k$ and then will have a huge dump after that and then the market price will skyrocket up to 60k$ or even more. It was just really crazy how bitcoin has grown in the past months when we are looking in the past ATH when the market price was only 20k$ it just take a long time before breaking that ATH and before breaking that ATH we experience a big deep in the market all the way down to 3k$ which I think could happen as well to break the new ATH. I think we are going to experience a big deep and then break the resistance and then reach a new ATH in the market.

Both. This day will vbe remembered as the day BTC reached over 50,000 but in the same time it will keep on going as bitcoin is in price discovery mode. I am at the point where I don't care about dumps and corrections as I see it as an opportunity to acquire more BTC.

Indeed, it was a matter of time it happened. Let's keep in mind that it's been flirting with the $50.000 goal for quite a few days now. It like it had already happened, because it was bound to. Now, we need to set new goals $60.000 won't take that long to happen either.

Yes, I'm sure we'll see a new all-time high very soon. According to forecasts, this year Bitcoin should increase to 100k. So we'll remember this day but as the beginning of something very great.

Not many people had that faith in bitcoin few years ago. Especially when they experienced the downward movement after the 20k ATH in 2017. But right now, a lot of known companies are trying to join this revolution. They are seeing now the viability of crypto in the payment sector, in which, this has been highlighted owed to the pandemic. So maybe, thanks to this crisis, a lot of people are now opening up to the usage of crypto, not only as payment option but as well as investment options.

Yes some big institutions are taking part in crypto which make it more hype to increase the price. World rich people and big renowned institutions already took part in crypto currency and they are continuously buying a huge amount of BTC which make it more easier to create hype in the market.
