Why Coinbase? I am not a big supporter of any centralized exchanges, and for this reason I buy most of my coins directly from people. I go to meetups and build relations with people there, and then I start trading with them. Localbitcoins is good, but tricky.

I would like to move away from the dependency built on third party services and exchanges, because they are the single most vulnerable point of failure, as was shown with MtGox & Bitfinex.

Deal directly with people and avoid third parties. ^smile^

you should say this is for customers in us and north america only.
coinbase is only preevy to them for buying bitcoins. Roll Eyes

Yes. Coinbase was my first wallet when I started reading about bitcoin. It was at the top search then when I looked for a wallet. Then I found out that I can't buy coins from it.
Their main competition is xapo and i heard something in the news recently about them expanding into other business models. So look out for them too!

I think that more cryptocurrency noobs are hanging out on Social media rather than Youtube.
He may not get anything in return after investing good amount of money in social media ads so there will be no point for him to advertise this on social medias with his own expenses.

The one who want to know about this process can just google it and he can watch this tutorial, no need to advertise.
Thanks OP for this good tutorial with crystal clear audio and steps. Wink

Good job mate.
Some bitcoin noobs here dont easily pick up written tutorials about transferring funds on bitcoin wallets. Video is an effective way to learn basic operations on bitcoin. You should add more videos. You should make sime videos how to store btc on hardware wallet, making paper wallet and using cold storage. That will be helpful

Even though the step is quite straight forward many may find this process difficult so this video can be helpful to them. I would like to suggest you to include paper wallet as external wallet and how to import that paper wallet in web wallet like blockchain.info if you want to use those bitcoin, in your next video.

The video seems pretty good and the process to be very easy, easier than I thought, but before enabling the buy/sell in coinbase what was needed in order to be able to buy/sell bitcoin in coinbase? And congratulation for holding 15BTC in a hardware wallet(Ledger wallet), good practice.
