I don't get the interdependency of the following factors, while exchanging BTC and IOTA.
a) BTC-price in USD / EUR
b) IOTA price in USD / EUR
c) BTC / IOTA price
1. Does the BTC/IOTA price always reflect the ratio of IOTA-price relative to BTC price?
Let's say we'd buy 1 BTC for $1,000 and change it to 1,000 IOTA (1 IOTA = 0,001 BTC). If BTC would rise up to $2,000, would the BTC/IOTA price be bisected (1 IOTA = 0,0005)?
Then we would get 0,5 BTC back, which would be worth the same amount like I invested?
2. Does a rising IOTA price (USD/EUR) have a direct impact on the BTC/IOTA price?
- 1 IOTA = $0,5 | 1 IOTA = 0,0010 BTC | 1 BTC = $500,00 | 1,000 IOTA = 1 BTC = $500,00
- 1 IOTA = $0,6 | 1 IOTA = 0,0012 BTC (?) | 1 BTC = $500,00 | 1,000 IOTA = 1,2 BTC = $600,00 (?)
3. If we'd have bought 1 BTC @ $500,00 and the BTC-price rises: wouldn't we get more IOTA for 1 BTC as soon as it value increases?
So it wouldn't be a good idea to change a well developing currency into another, as soon as it value increases?
4. When would be the ideal of exchanging from one to another currency?
I know that I've a logical thinking problem. May somebody shed some light into the dark? THX!
