From my personal experience with this site, i can tell that i have never an issue.
I borrow and lend btc there and everything goes well.
Ive heard that its "easy" to default there but when and where in crypto world, its not?
There have been a plenty of threads in the Scam Accusation section regarding defaulted btcjam loans.

Well, i will look up to this section.
I didnt know that accusations for lending sites are there... Undecided

I have tried to set up an account at this bitjam service and they will not let me because I am in the USA.  What country do you live in which you can register with this service?

If not in the US then what another countries are not allowed to register?

For some odd reason this bitjam site will not let me in.  It says not opened to US members and when I tried to clean my PC temp files and change my IP, it is saying the same thing when I put I am from the UK in.  WTF!  I am about to offer to buy an account from someone! (Joking)

My advice for those willing to lend at btcjam and similiar is to avoid there is no warranty you will get your investment back or either paid from the person which requests, soo gamble your money at your own risk.

Well, it's not really gambling if your smart about who you lend your money to. I personally think the best thing you can do for yourself when investing is to diversify the holdings, so don't go ahead and put everything you have into one loan as if that fails then-- you're done.

Simply, don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Good luck!

Look im not talking because i didnt used it, i were a lender at btcjam, i had supported more then one project i were able to recover my investment and roi some satoshis, and i loose a lot on the way, they dont offer you any colateral, soo anybody can go there expose their details or from someone else, ask the loan and dont repay, soo its better gamble at casinos then try to profit at those websites.
Bitcoin isnt ready to fund projects that way, bitcoin loans need colateral to keep community honest.

That rate would b ur Apr annum and the 18.50 would b ur weekly or monthly interest  ,I myself am a borrower on btcjam and currently  half way through paying bk a 0.75  loan weekly at 0.088 my user profile is https://btcjam.com/?user_id=541140 I still have 0.61 left have wanted to refinance to 1.01to pay bk loan and use remainder  for investing  which I also have 3 paying investments coming only small ones but use gotta start somewhere  so if u were interested  in a private Investment for as near as the 1.01 can b lower I would offer u the same rate I'm paying now on a weekly  basis which is roughly 40-45gbp anyway hope the first bit answers ur question and if u were interested  in a private loan my btc wallet is 12sfXWTopuEiBavm9N17fyQfUSHDWVKVdy obviously  would need yours to repay bk to anyway il leave u with that thought cheers spandln3001 Smiley

Hello There,

I have signed up as an investor at BTCjam and I am bit confused about interest rate they have for investors.

Example - https://btcjam.com/listings/64030

Title says 'Get 148.65% by investing in this loan - BTCJam'

Rate section says '฿2.50 @ 18.40%'

Term is for 180 days..

So can you help me to figure it out what is exact interest rate? for monthly, yearly or for the loan period.

Thanks in advance, also share your experience
