well at the moment i thought that was a way to build up my rep. but Jon obviously schooled me in that one haha, and yes i have already figured out how to do transactions without loans.

How would i go about selling stuff on here, and if i was to sell something worth value how would i not get ripped off? I understand alot of this is trust but if i am to sell one of my possessions i do not want get ripped off.

Use an escrow service if the person you sold to is low rep too. There is paid ones like http://thrucoin.com/create and reputable people like (https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/patrickharnett-26841) who operates a bank in the lending subforum may do it for free too. Selling on https://www.bitmit.net and accepting escrow is the way to go too.

If this is only a short-term loan anyway, why don't you just wait a while and simply buy the coins instead of loaning them?
That way, you'll end up with 5 or 6 coins instead of just 3?

ohhh ok well i appreciate the link John. Like i said i am a newbie and one of my friends suggested taking out a loan and paying it back with in a short period of time. I did not even bother to look at what other people were saying on how to get started. I really do appreciate it
