And using it for any other altcoin?

yeah you can solo mine peercoins with it.  I had 112gh worth of compac sticks and hit 1 block of peercoins worth about 33 usd.

now your stick is 4gh-6gh   vs 112gh  and i hated the software for that stick as that stick crashed a lot.

My advice is do not buy  it but if you own it run it and see if it keeps crashing.

Thanks. How can i do solominig in peercoin? Can you help me?

Hi guys

i am sorry for this noob question
i am new to this form and mining system

i just want to ask is it worth to buy the avalon nano usb 3.6GH/s

i know this age is for Th/s now

but still is it profitable

It will not be profitable, you can have low price electricity costs or free costs, but minning with 3,6 gh is very low you will only make few satoshis. You can buy it to learn how it works, but you can't make profit from this kind of miners.

In most cases buying a compac makes more sense as a usb stick miner.  And it will be for learning or lotto.  You will not make a profit unless it's from selling the miner one day.

Avalon nano I have used one nothing wrong with them.  But again it's a stick miner so you pay more then you will get in return.  I think compac being more current is best best though, even though still no profit.

At this point, it is not worthwhile if you are trying to make a ROI. If you can get one for dirt cheap, it may be useful to learn how things work and just get your feet wet.

Not at all. The Avalon Nano is (was) a very efficient miner and made around 3 cents a day a few months ago before the crazy difficulty rise. Nowadays the outdated avalon chip doesn't make profit anymore, and it's just a good idea for people who want an entry-level miner that doesn't eat up a ton of electricity. You can buy one if you like, but seriously for beginners a block erupter is a lot cheaper and has lots of mods available and also is very well documented.

A Block Erupter would achieve the same learning goal as leowonderful suggested for a lot cheaper if you plan on getting one on eBay or something.

It could be profitable if you buy it at a really low price with unusual electricity cost... i recommend you to invest more money but anyways this is a good device to start mining

Nowadays, profitability of any mining hardware is dependent on electricity (mainly) that you pay, so if you got a free electricity, then go ahead and try it, but honestly, as you already know, you can't expect anything (literally), you won't even mine enough to get a ROI on it (most likely outcome). In other words, It won't be worth it to invest in it or rather waste some money for it.
