then it takes a random person and pays you a little bit each time a block is found on the network. it doesnt say how much tho..
so basically you could mine all day long and not get selected as a winner..
im guessing you are also giving the pool your mining rewards.. so if you find a block, they keep it.
They'd have to keep the block I'd assume? But I could mine all day and get nothing, or possibly .002 bitcoins as a reward? You'd need more hashing to increase your odds but the reward seems small and you might not win it.
For comparison I had about 200gh/s more directed at Slush's since last night because my hash rate was way down on another pool and it earned about .003 more than normal in the course of the day and really wasn't a gamble. Maybe I'm missing something? If I had an old block erupter USB I'd see what happens.
I still think if I were going to gamble I'd solo mine or take my chances on PMPool's reward. I was just doing some mining with an old low power rig I'd think someone with a random lottery that still pays when a block gets hit like Triplemining would be a better deal.
