Bitcoin block has been halved and give out only 12.5 BTC per block now, you should consider if it is still worth for you to do Bitcoin mining after deducting all the cost involved.

Yeah, it seems like mining for now is not a good idea. The fact that the block reward that you can get from mining is halved into 12.5 and the cost of electricity and others remain constant. The Market price of the bitcoin do not turn into what we want. The price remains stable in contrary to what we predicted that it will pump its price and it can even reach up to $1100. Maybe its too early to judge, we'll have to wait for its price to pump. Maybe mining Alt-coins is much preferably now. Especially ETH.

Isn't solo mining something like gambling?
Since there is no guarantee that it will get you some bitcoin, but it costs money though(electricity).
So wouldn't u be better of by mining regularly in a pool instead of solo?

hi there i bin bit coin mining for around 1 year and have 15 s3& 2 s5 antmininers runing. i now want to try my luck in solo mining. But i don't know how to set up my bfg miner and my bit core for this. if any one can hlp me or if ty can email me info at [email protected] on how to set the code lines up in my notepad ++ that would be great

I would suggest that you solo mine; it might take lots of years for you just to find a block and i don't think thats very profitable with the halving and the electricity bill that you have to pay. So just join a good mining pool and offer up your mining rigs; if you think they arent good enough, you can always sell them and try out the latest ones in store.

You could setup a whole node but it's easier to mine to a solo pool such as ck's http://solo.ckpool.org/
Just point your miners to the pool and it will start mining, if you find a block you will get the 99% of the block reward + fees.
Is there Any tax's on this pool or not. and ill pint a few miners at it and see how it goes

To solo mine without a pool like ckpool you need a dedicated server and a really good net connection to prevent an orphan.

So ckpool fee is cheap compared to running a dedicated server and fast internet.

If you mine fully in house you pay for the faster net and the server 24/7/365 most likely you will not hit a block.

As you are well under 50th.
