Yeah, no matter what we predict, it is really just impossible to know for sure.
When in doubt, always HODL!

Bitcoin price increases strong today and no stop. $ 14,000 is a very large number. However, I think it still continues to increase so i will continue hold Bitcoin. I think it will reach the peak of $15K in tomorrow

It already hit $15k, in fact it just hit $16k too!

$12,000 is going to be the next support. And once we reach $12,000 the same thing will happen, we will be having difficulty of seeing the price again up to the next support which will be $15,000.

This guy is correct. All the corrections this year have gone back to or close to the high before the previous crash because that acts as the base for the next crash.

$1400 up $3000 down $1750 up $5000 down $2950 up $7800 down $5500 up $11,400 down $8400 up $15k+ ... down $11k-$12k

I don't know when the next dump will be, but it should be in the next few days, and it should go back to roughly $12k. Or course it won't stay there for long as everyone with money will be buying at $12k since that is now a deeply discounted price.

actually the reason behind this pump due to news,
so your claim about we're getting this without news is totally false my friend.
for example right now,
at Dec 18 we will be listed on CME group's futures, because of that we got a lot of positive feedback from Bitcoin users by pushing the price to the top.
other than that a few months ago japanese regulated their exchanges,
with that we should understand that Bitcoin get approved by them slowly.
and many others that will happen in the future and already happened a while ago.
in general we're getting close to mass adoption that is why we got this run.
about support right now,
if we're looking at it generally it should be around $10.000 because it's our check point after this long run.
but we may be can see another support in the future because right now Bitcoin still showing us a positive sign.
at least until Q1 we will see a good run for Bitcoin and may be in the next few months later we can see it around $20.000 more or less,
if we get that, our support will be increased too, right ?
so,we still do not know yet because everything can be happen with it.

Until 18 December, the price of bitcoin is on the rise. But then a few hours, we can see a dip to 10-8 thousand dollars. If the futures will make the price of bitcoin stable I can expect the flight of speculative capital. This could cause a real panic in the market. As always it is impossible to guess the reaction of bitcoin.

I’ll be at 10000$ at the minimum or much higher support up to 12000$. Panic selling that happens before will not go beyond a 3000$ drop since I’ve been in bitcoin investments. So I’m sure it will remain at that but if it goes below that then this is not impossible but won’t last for long. The weak hands before are much more experienced now and I know learned the lesson on the way, up to this price.

I believe it is certainly possible (that a lot of the price increase right now is due to pre-short pumping), but I also see a lot of people simply happy that regulations are (for now) not a problem in the US.

The price of a lot of alt-coins is going down, which suggests that many current players are trading Bitcoin.

However, the truth is that it is probably a combination of both - you don't see a 50% increase and a great increase in the market cap in such a short period of time, even for good news.

Best be careful when short trading initiates in a few days...

We haven't even started getting serious yet. Bitcoin is right now getting out of bed and stretching, and hasn't even started to run yet.
I believe so too. Bitcoin's current adoption is a process that might take years before it slows down, and in a perfect scenario, we might touch the $50k mark before we see the block halving take place in 2020.

By that time we have CME, CBOE, Nasdaq and maybe NYSE alongside each other offer Bitcoin related financial instruments to serve their professional clients. Institutional investors is where the big money is.

If institutions invest even 5% of their portfolio into Bitcoin, we'll likely see it move over the $100k mark. Taking all this into consideration, it only makes sense to continue hodling your coins firmly.

BTW, before any short-selling whales try to manipulate prices, there *must* be a large price increase (maybe like the one we are seeing now, although I doubt it, since it seems like everyone is just excited and enthusiastic) to pump up the Bitcoin price before executing the short, which CME futures has made easy.
It is very risky to short bitcoin without manipulation, because especially in times like these, you could lose everything you put up. It is pretty stupid in fact, unless you are pulling the strings.

This. I'm pretty sure that what is happening is a bunch of whales are buying coins in order to be able to sell and force the market down once the futures trading comes in.

Likely it will reach 20K before the end of the year, or very close.

By next year, I fully expect it to be 40K by mid-2018 or earlier.

For me at the average of $10k is the support price of bitcoin, bitcoin price will still go up and maybe until next year. For me our safety is on at the price of $10k, so save until we can have it and invest until it can still dump. But as of now it will just dump on $9k. I just want to be safe and just want to rely on $10k supporting price. I don't want to think of other than that.
Just think about the profit buying at 10 k will bring a lot of profit in future and as the prices get high people will think that this is the best thing and they will follow the same and will buy more and this will happen in future and I am pretty sure that price will rise with more faster rate in coming year and if a fall will occur at this time it will also help bitcoin to progress more because in fall newbies come and invest their money,

I think it will be $9k. Right now, there is a lot of nervousness about the Bitcoin futures. We will know in a week's time whether that brings short sellers to the market, or whether people rush in to invest.
If we do not see a dip, then we could have support level of $12k.

The price of yhe bitcoin today is already 11,300 dollars and I think it will continue to increase. I think the price will dump if the price reach 15k dollars because many people want a lot of profit so they sell their bitcoin and the support will be 10k dollars . But we don't know what actually happen to yhe price of the bitcoin maybe decrease or increase.

I do not know about the next pump , But there should be huge dump when we come closer to the end of December , A lot of people should cash out before the new year .

Evidence on why people would cash out before the end of the year? 2012 and 2013 have been the only years when Bitcoin price hasn't gone up in December, and in 2012 it just stayed even, while 2013 was coming down off the big bubble. So the history says the opposite of what you think will happen.
Hmm I did not say that the price will not go up !! . I said there will be a huge dump closer to the end of December . Price can go up even 50k before the end of December then get dumped and my prediction will still be right Smiley

Based on last dump it should not go under 9000$,I think on that level we have high resistance. But we never know with BTC,it can go few thousands $ up in few days and then go down 2000$ in 24 hours. This is always interesting because people want to sell at the highest possible price and buy at the lowest.

Since CME is announced start of bitcoin futures at December 18., and by today news CBOE is lunching bitcoin futures at December 10., it is realistic to expect that price will go only up in next two weeks. How will bitcoin futures have the effect on BTC in general and to price correction it remains to be seen in the upcoming days.

i have read that people were saying that bitcoin could reach 10K by the end of 2017  Grin

it is possible for it to go to 15K and above and it may dump back down but probably not much below 10K

there is a lot of support for it at the moment

I personally think the price will keep going up leading to the launch of the CME futures on 18th december. Because the hedge funds are stocking up with bitcoins (to be fullyhedged, they need to own the underlying asset before they short).

After that, we'll see a correction. I personally think the support is going tobe $10,000.

Actually they don 't need to own a single bitcoin. https://cointelegraph.com/news/how-cme-groups-bitcoin-futures-will-work

But if a gambler owns a big futures contract (either short or long) and a lot of cash and coins, they can and will double game. Put large bets in futures and then try to manipulate the bitcoin price
in the direction desired for the outcome of the contract. They even can run double, short and long contracts simultaneous. That will not take volatility out of the BTC market, but even make it more wild.

And it is pretty clear they haven't bought into Bitcoin yet. So for them to try to manipulate the actual Bitcoin price they'd have to shoot it up first buy buying up a lot.

Uhh why are we asking about the next dump. We literally just got out of a dump. Another correction won't be coming until it go up a few thousand dollars more. Right now we're still just sitting around the peak of the last pump before the dump. Anyways, so support for the next one should be around $11k - $12k given that that is the start of the next pump, which usually serves as the limit for the next correction.

last massive dump which created a lot of panic was back down to $9000 from $11395 meaning a 21% drop. and right now we are on the recovery from that panic dump to  flush the weak hands out of the market. price needs to rise first before you start thinking about "next dump".

so lets talk about the first things first. the rise can easily be to $13000 and since nobody likes 13 price will fall back about 20% to $10500 as the support line.

Support will be at 12k USD.  You know why?  Because this ship is going straight up to 18k - 20k USD before crashing back to 12k.  We're not even at the crazy stages yet.  Wait til it gets really crazy.
I will support this, $12,000 is going to be the support at this times. And look at the scenario now, it's the same thing before bitcoin getting hard to get in with $4,000 and also with $10,000 before. This makes me want to stick with bitcoin and will love to see the great price for the next month to come. A lot of blown up speculations and events are about to come.

Perhaps the bitcoin price will hit 20K USD next summer,if there are no bad news and no FUD.
I think that the OP is asking about the current support price.I would say it`s around 8500 USD or less.
During the previous crashes(or price corrections) the btc price decreased with around 30% and i know that the investors and HODLers won`t let the price to fall under 8000 USD.
