Well I am not worried at all, bitcoin went from 5000$ to 20 000$, I think we need a little bit of correction nothing can go parabolic forever...this is not possible so yeah a correction like this is normal and healthy for Bitcoin long term. People need to zoom out of the bitcoin graph and you can see every time it goes up a lot we see a correction and then it will go up again ! Lots of good news for bitcoin to be announce soon ( ETF, lighning network)

There is a healthy correction currently happening in the market. Cryptos are very volatile, so it is common to see them drop 25% or more one day, and the same for increases. Having said that, you need to diversify to manage risk.

When I got into crypto trading scene.   I wish sports betting was like this.   Once you lose the bet the money is with the bookmaker.

In trading.  It just happen it got cheaper than your original purchase but you still own 100% of it.   Like you buy .1 BTC at 15000.   You still have that .1 BTC no matter what price it goes to.   You have that control not like in sports betting.

I manage to get in 17200 before it go 18000 then it drop fast to 16200 and I waited like few days it went up to 17400 and sold it.

This is a great buying opportunity.
With every step it goes down, buy a bit more BTC if you have the funds.
That will pay off big time. Patience is everything.

When ever price is going down its good to buy more bitcoins, and perfect is to buy it exactly in the dip. This correction is announced in prior weeks, maybe this is not the end of the drop, it can go down a bit more. I suppose that most of us expected this drop, for months price is going up fast without corrections and big drops, there isn't anything that should worry us, who have money should buy more bitcoins, the rest should be patience and don't even think about selling bitcoins now.

Some negative news has compounded along with btc in an all out buying frenzy has fueled this large drop.  This large discount can continue throughout winter to allow people to buy up bitcoin and provide the fuel for next pump come spring or sooner.

Bitcoin really needs some time to cool off and go sideways.  This will allow people to purchase bitcoin from cashing in other investments, wages and tax refunds.  The 2018 ride is going to be epic so prepare yourself!

It has dropped Further towards $13,000 and I think this is a very big drop and I think it will still drop further and if this continues it might be below $10,000 before end of this year. I believe and I will advise that we should reduce panicking as bitcoin will resume upward movement by first quarter of next year. I believe miner are not helping the matter as the mining fee has increased significantly.

If it dropped below the all time low I'd be worried. Dropping below the all time high is expected.
If bitcoin price will drop below $5k I will be worried. As you know bitcoin is always ups and down in terms of price. For now, I think it is normal because price reached high so correction will happen.

$5k is the time to be really worried, what is happening i believe is the correction, everyone was blinded by the $20k ATH and believe it will continue to rise, but its really non sustainable an 11k price increase in just less than a month is just a bubble that is waiting to be popped.

BTC price have dropped 25% of it's all time highest. Currently at below 15k. What do you think is causing it to drop. Is it gonna drop more? Is there anything to be worried?

The only reason why it dropped dramatically is that of the continuous circulation of Bitcoin throughout its entire network. Even though the demand for Bitcoin increases, there are still more people dumping their coins, not because they are moving into other digital currency. But, using Bitcoin as a remittance which is an alternative to physical cash that being used through remittance centers such as Xoom, Western Union and the like. We shouldn't be worried just because the price drops down, we should look this situation in a more optimistic way. After all, one of the concepts of it is that being used globally as a currency and not considered as a digital commodity or asset.

This sudden huge drop is lucky movement for those who have earlier invested in bitcoin and are now taking their profits out but very disappointing to those who bought at higher price and lost their base investment like me. I am so confusing why bitcoin took sudden dip and unsure whether it will ever go $20,000 again or not? I will continue holding because cashing out at this moment will put me in huge loss

It was expected that Bitcoin would end this year at $10K, but it went on to get past $20K and when that happened some investors were hoping for a dip and when the inevitable correction did happen, is it worrisome? No. The price was around 9,900 on November 30, and $20K on December 17 as CME Group's Bitcoin futures trading began, that's $10K rise in a matter of 18 days, simply not sustainable. One of the major factors for the recent bull run was the futures, but now obviously we are seeing a short-term correction which is healthy, nothing to panic or worry about.

For another fork activation that will happen soon I don't think that we can see some 10k dip at this moment since we might gonna see some pump later since many people will prefer to hold to get some free coins from that event and also it's not right to get panic since maybe theirs simple manipulation happening and we might gonna see some huge pump after the dump come.

I do not worry. Bitcoin prices are down because many sell it too much. At the end of the year, many will sell their bitcoins. I think the value of it will soon return in early 2018.

I think people learned from their panic selling once we hit below 2000 USD per BTC. I don`t think people will sell their BTC for panic selling or etc from now on. This is a necessary price correction that is all. But i think altcoins must learn to keep their prices away from BTC price..

It might dropped more but i'm pretty sure it will not below 10k. I think the price of bitcoin dropped because of many unconfirmed transaction around 279k unconfirmed transaction and also the fee is super big. If this thing keep happened, i'm afraid the bitcoin price will dropped more.

i got into crypto a month ago. btc dropped below and i bought. just look at the graphs and there has been a big up and down. no need to panic keep your money in there
we should been more worried if price kept going up
btc would been too expensive to buy
now its a buyers market again
so buy away and growth will come

the lower the better. its more about the percent gains vs the overal value.  so no worries
just do your research.   watch the videos read articles andyou will know

When you'll take note and see the past drops of bitcoin there are great losses that happened before, last years.

The cause of it's drop is very simple, too many people are starting to cash out and wants to have their cash for buying gifts and taking out profits.

No one knows if the drop will be continuous.

If you're a long term holder, you don't have to worry with it.

The BTC price simply got way ahead of itself.

The growth of the last few months was pretty nice and stable. It was only after breaking through USD 10,000,- that BTC went full on crazy. Ever since we broke this barrier, the price has been incredibly unstable, so of course a correction was due. Accordingly a new bottom has to be established. Hopefully above USD 10,000,- otherwise things might get ugly.

Keep in mind that the fundamentals haven't changed -- BTC is still BTC -- it's just the price that is fluctuating. If you're convinced of BTC's long term viability, short term price drops such as this pne shouldn't worry you.

I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, considering that the price of Bitcoin since the beginning of the year was up something insane like 1000%, and it still is pretty close to that metric if I remember correctly, there would be no issues with me personally if I had been holding for that long. However, one big thing that a lot of people probably did was buy into the hype and because of that there are a lot of different things that could happen to individuals. I would say it all depends on your personal situation, and try predicting a bottom if we haven't hit it already. I suspect that most people didn't buy at the peak but there are also a lot of casual investors who would have invested into Bitcoin at that price themselves. Might be an increasingly bad situation for those people.

theirs nothing to worry about that because if bitcoin can drop at that 25% also it can increase at the higher just only thing to do is to wait or think always possitive to the the best for bitcoin. alwqys understand that sometimes we win sometimes we learn from bitcoin.

yes If bitcoin dropped 25% it should be worried for the bitcoin holders, but they should not take it serious , Because the value of the bitcoin will rise soon again it bitcoin will cross the value from where it was fall. And also the value will cross the limit of 20k$ in the start of 2018. So if they hold their bitcoin for a month more then their will be no worry about , their will be benefit for them.

Why did you worry if the price is still higher than tha last two-three months ? Do you not happy? It's only okay for me anf i think it is must because if the price is continue to rise it is no thrill and i think sooner it will be gone. It is like the demand and the supply so that the price is dropping low.maybe you know the price of bitcoin in september the price of it if i remember is almost at 3,000$ corrrect me if i'm wrong and then yougot be worried because of the 15,000 just go with the flow and believe in the bitcoin because there's many problem of bitcoin that it overcome

We shouldn't be. The dump in bitcoin price is expected this last week of December up to first week of January but its case was made worse by the hacking of different exchange sites causing people to panic sell because they think that bitcoin will go down. Despite of the extreme dump, I still believe that bitcoin will recover soon so keep holding and be patient Smiley

On the same day one month ago bitcoin price was $8148, it has crossed $19500 mark on December 17, it has become more than double within thirty days. Now this is end of the year, traders investors all over the world are in festival/spending mood. As a result all marts go down every year. This is not new, it happens every year. Traders or investors of bitcoin are making profit booking that is why bitcoin is sleeping below $15000 mark. This is not a shock or panic movement, its necessary for the good health of any currency.

This looks like a healthy correction to me, did you think it was just going to continue climbing 5 - 10% every few days? You can also factor in the holiday season, people will want to cash in some profits to FIAT.

considering it was only $8000 in about a month ago, i'd say you should still be happy you are in a huge profit instead of being worried!
the cause? i believe it is two things, first the fact that price rose a lot in the past few months and also it needed a correction. second is the fact that fees are going higher and higher because bitcoin failed to scale for the time being.
can it drop more? maybe. the FUD is strong these days and the panic sell has just started.

reasons for the drop are bitcoin cash, the ILLEGAL insider trading at conbase and a whole lot of monkey  see monkey do with panic sales.  Worried?  I mean if you have your life savings and rent money in btc maybe but if you were a responsible adulation and didn’t invest more than you can afford to lose just wait it out.  Do yourself a favor and dont check the btc charts for a month or two

Not a bit. We've more than tripled in price since last month. 25% is NOTHING. Bitcoin has crashed a lot more than that in the past, and will do the same again and again in the upcoming years. Cryptocurrencies are very volatile, and will continue to do so for a while.

Perfect answer. Remember the Mt.Gox hack? and the Bitfinex hack? Now that's what you call a DROP.
