Does your robot work with sites other than BTC-e?

The trading is done by API keys via BTC-e.com marketplace where you trade.
However also robot monitors mtgox and bitstamp as price filters!
Ok, sounds good. Thanks!

OK guys. Maybe this is a scam. However I can confirm that the thing at least connects to the BTC-e and does some trading there. As my account on BTC-e was only funded with BTC it hasn't done much.It only bought two dollars or so. I am quite happy it is not buying dollars now as the BTC is on downward path. We'll see how it goes. I thought I'll give it a try. I have thought about a trade-bot for a long time so out of curiosity I bought a licence.

That is normal.

Regarding the robot's seeming lack of activity, sometimes this is
quite normal, especially if the market is flat. The
robot is monitoring the markets 24/7 and is patiently waiting for the
proper timing to grab the opportunity when it comes. There are weeks
when it can make 10 trades in 1 day but sometimes, there are flat
weeks when price does not change much and the robot will patiently
wait without any trades at all.

The goal is to make profit, not to force trading for the sake of
trading. You don't need to sit on it and wait for trades. Leave it and
let it do its magic. You can check it once a month, but no need to
check and babysit it daily. You can also check Bitcoin price charts;
during flat markets, the robot is obviously passive and it's normal.
So, please be patient with it...

Quote
So if they are scammers they have at least gone into some trouble to connect to the API and crate an easy interface.

I may sound like a broken record but we are not a scammers.

I am not saying we are best of the best in the world, we had our issues (DDOS attack on site,  then delayed orders because of the site unavailable) but we are honest developers who made a great product and we stand by it! It will not get you rich overnight but it trades and wins.

Quote
BTC-Robot team: You should not state that the initial funds on BTC-e are Profits. That's misleading and only supports the scam theory.

The BTC-e API does not let us separate if extra funds came from profits or from extra manual deposits. In case your account is clean and new, initial deposit is not counted as profit. However if you move money here and there and add more funds manually it can confuse it. BTC-e allows you to have multiple accounts. I would suggest using fresh acc and not interfere with the trading by manual fund movements.

P.s. I appreciate you took your time to review it and trusted enough to even join. I am sure if you trade long enough you will love it.

If you have questions you can send me PM or support.

If it was a perfect robot, they would not sell it but keep it for themselves.

Love your trolling Smiley Always sharp and to the point.

We have a great reply on that in the FAQ, let me just quote

Quote
Do you trade it yourself? If it is so good, why would you sell it?

Yes, we do trade it and you saw the live trading proof. Why do we sell it? We could probably write something hypocritical here, that we want to make everyone rich and happy, but I will be honest with you. We are opportunistic. If you have a chance to make more money, will you pass it by? The amount of traders using the robot does not affect its effectiveness, so we thought, why not release it to a limited amount of pioneers who, like us, can take advantage of this new growing opportunity.

It's like when people invented the plane; nobody drives such long distances in a car! Same here. Why bother with manual trading, spending the whole of your life glued to the PC when you can use this new technology of automated Bitcoin trading!
The world has changed. And so have the tools!

Also nothing in the world is perfect. It's a good one and I am glad it works.

Not trolling.  Just looking at the "last operations"  It sold some at 115/116, then bought at 120.  Seems like $5 of missed profit.

I think that:
- the prices displayed are the closing prices. So, it closed a sell order at 115/116, and closed a buy order at 120, but it might be wrong.
- it is not real trades, but invented ones.

There are no "closing prices" on Btc-e. It works 24/7 (except for attacks, etc.), and for that matter, DDOS attacks don't automatically induce buy orders from victim accounts, now do they? Also, even if there were, "19:35" doesn't make sense as a closing time, so it must refer to something else.

Probably because someone just put money into the system, and at that time it was $120(.899) / BTC. Perhaps the bot decided it was better to allocate some of that new money to additional BitCoins rather than keeping them as dollars.

I think the robot is programmed to be somewhere between bullish and bearish. So it sells gradually as the price increases and buys as the price falls. Or perhaps it's based on something more sophisticated, like calculating the rate at which the slope steepens and setting the buying minus selling rate to proportional to that (which might imply the need for such infrequent trades). As a robot cannot predict the future and shouldn't really make partial judgements about the fate of BitCoin, this makes sense.

Was this addressed to me, kmarinas86? We don't have any SEO team working for us. However we have hundreds of affiliates who support us. You can contact me in PM if you are interested in affiliate program.

Ok. That's a small difference. I understand. It's similar to the old WebRing thing that I used on my old "kmar86" GeoCities website.

It's a scam folks. Read the relevant thread:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/experience-with-btc-robot-277180

I tried to buy the $250 account and my credit card company denied the transaction [thank you!]

Nowhere on this forum has anyone posted positive feedback other than people that are clearly sockpuppets for the scammer.

Be careful ! In retrospect I should have known better. A little careful research will prevent you from falling into these traps.

Interestingly, I see that you registered to BitCoinTalk.org on August 12, 2013, 11:20:07 PM (though I'm not sure what time zone that applies for). That's not too long ago. As of my writing, you have made 5 posts so far.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.3001522

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.3002569

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.3032334

As the above was your 5th post, I gather that you are part of the SEO team that works for multiple clients, including BitCoin Robot. I think I can understand why they use your service.

I look on YouTube, and I can find people with similar intent. (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=%22bitcoin+robot%22) They are using product placement methods to advertise multiple products at the same time. I suppose that such is a cheaper way to spread the message, as well as leading to lower fees for SEO. I'm pretty sure there is no reason to directly admit this, but I figured I may as well let people know of the methods people have used to get attention for their products on the internet.

I don't mean to sound accusatory.  I was just curious what the actual profit is vs. buy and hold instead of vs. hold cash.  I think it's a better indicator.

What would the profit have been if you had just bought $10k of bitcoins two months ago?

i replied somewhere in other topic... "buy and hold" strategy will bring you 30% profit during the same period with a drawdown of 30% when the price went down to 70 usd.

The bot is much more effective than "buy and hold" strategy because first of all, nobody can guarantee you bitcoin growth and secondly the bot is profitable on both down and up price movements. Moreover the drawdown never exceeded 10%.

As for free licenses, trials etc, we are not interested to work with the tire-kickers. We have real costs that we need to cover, especially on Gold/Platinum level where we also pay for your trading VPS...

You can see all trades it did in the BTCe account trade history. You can also see all orders which it placed. It looks like some initial problems were overcome. At least I thought it was good it didn't trade as long as the btc was going up that much. It will be interessting to see what will happen next.

Simon has no affiliation with us but it is pointless trying to prove it or prove otherwise. Anyone can open forum account and any positive feedback for old timers will assume affiliation. This is just basic human psychology to be on alarm for anything new that comes out. That is normal. I bet when Bitcoin itself just came out most of these guys also cried it's a scam unless the majority of people accepted it.

Give it time. Peace.

No, BtcRobot is not a scam. The robot is a solid automated trading software for BTC-e.

It can work on both Windows PC or Trading VPS (web based).

It works as advertised and produces conservative steady profits.

Yes, the team uses pen names and put google images as our pics for obvious privacy reasons. So what? Nobody puts their real pics in bitcoin. The whole idea of bitcoin is about privacy and staying anonymous, isn't it?
The payment processor we use is what matters. It is solid and has a full 60 day guarantee.

P.S. There are way too many same topics opened for it here, if you have questions just PM me or support.

Anybody got one yet? If the BTC Robot servers are overloaded there ought to be hundreds out there.

Interesting that there don't seem to be any more bots on BTC-e than usual...

Another point for the scam-o-meter, when I searched "bitcoinrobotreview.com" there was no other mention of this website on the entire forum.

This looks like a scam because the website basically talks about making free money without ever specifying how it's done.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I won't say anything about the fact that this member is new and has only a couple of messages posted here but i'll say YES this website is a scam and if you want reasons here they are :

All websites claiming they have secret ,limited, exclusive offer to get rich are scam

All websites that claim they 'll offer you some stuff worth $697 for FREE are  scam

moreover this website says :

No Commissions : that false if you use a trading bot to trade bitcoin you'll have to pay commission somewhere ! (mtgox, btce, bitstamp they all have commisions)

No Sending of Documents : false , you'll need to send document to trade anything even forex (unless you find some weird , shady exchange)
No paperwor : you'll need to make paperwork to open your account and you might need paper work to fund your account.

and well...yes that's your first post here

We dont claim to have any secret method to get rich. Those are BS. Forex trading books or course are METHODS...not facts!

About your moreover part: Not my robot..not my rules!

And yes ..it was my first post here! So?...if i had waited until 100 posts and made this thread...you think people would have been more willing to trust? A preconceived notion is a preconceived notion!

Definitely a scam. Have a look here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.2916488

It's suspicious, because you are new here. And new people are always highly suspicious for scamming.

I do NOT sell anything..so how would i scam anyone?!

Everyone can say that.

Well i tried talking reasonably...since you dont accept that...please ignore me in future!

Deal?

It is not a constructive discussion when one party REFUSES to see other points of views!

Let me say this again!

I do NOT sell anything..so how would i scam anyone?!

I am conducting a promotional campaign..as simple as that!

And if me being new is a sound reason to be afraid of my "scamming" ...one could just ignore the thread all-together!

Internet and Forums boards were created to post opinions, news and discuss all sorts of buzz around a particular subject!

How else would i let people know about a certain promo (in this case BTC Robot contest) if not by posting to related forums?

 Wink

Cheers!

PS. I do understand your concerns about newbies...more often than not they are the ones to try to scam people..however i explained my position and what i do! Hopefully you wont feel i am a scammer anymore!
