I think BTC and ETH are the two best coin present. If bitcoin is 1, ethereum is 2. These are coin with solid base. They are trusted and used by investors.
you're right, the two coins are equally favored by investors.
both are very promising for long-term investments like one coin with two different sides but they remain side by side. the two coins are highly trusted by investors to get more profits.

if you invest in ethereum and bitcoin, you are very lucky in the future.

for the bitcoin is more potent than eth because bitcoin is a real longterm investment so you do not want to panic to buy just bitcoin because many holders also have bitcoin very expensive because of bitcoin so others are holding and they just buy for big profits they earn someday and their future.

BTC VS ETH.
Hmmmmmmm BTC all day everyday, i like ETH but its not going to have an easy life in the next few years as there are a lot of competitors and some of them are looking really good and this is going to be an issue in the future, Vitalik is working with a semi old tech and the solution he has is a good one but not sufficient enough to hold up in front of a coin like Credits for example that already proved a 1.1 million TPS, the partnerships Credits have made in the past 9 months will be jumping from joy once they ditch ETH and go live.
so imo BTC all day everyday and some alts that will not depend on ETH.
hold your self a few of them in case it does go up crazy which i dont think were going to it anytime soon at least not with ETH.

Hi,

My current coin distribution looks something like:
BTC 40%
ETH 40%
Other 20% (tokens and altcoins)

Right now BTC is going up, while ETH is still around 300$.

I am here for the long term, and I know two things:
1. Bitcoin has a limited supply of 21 millions btc
2. Ethereum doesn't have a supply cap, which may lead to inflation (I suppose)

On the long run, should I maintain the BTC-ETH balance at 50-50, like I do now, or should I go for more BTC than ETH?

Thank you!

Hello!
My current coin distribution looks like this:
All my money, I now invest in a dollar! Because in such a market situation, the best solution for an investor is to keep money in Fiat!
Bitcoin is a coin that is very capable of being relied on with its ever-increasing development capable of producing more profits through investment and holding Ethereum in the future. as the main coin Ethereum is very capable to rely on.r2
If compared between Bitcoin with Ethereum much difference. and most likely for Bitcoin will be more enthusiasts and support with a fairly high price is indeed a very capable to produce such a high price and continue to benefit in the future as the major coin is worth going forward.

Well Altcoin is stable because of their improvement on their system. They are creating a system that likes to bitcoin in right time when it done ETH can be mine and with this it can help price of eth rapidly we know that it was a serious problem but giving patient a trust in eth i know it gives me a profit.

I like ETH more than BTC because the transaction on it is lower than the btc and you can gain enough profit to it. I dont aim that gain a lot of profit.

btc is always first choice for noobs! if you want to invest eth is better

A funny but really funny opinion. Most newbie members choose BTC, but if they invest, ETH is always the last choice because current ETH is the most potential crypto on the market at the present time. Therefore investing in ETH will be the right decision if you want to earn high profit.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are two different great cryptocurrencies which should never be compared. Looking at how they were created, they both have different blockchain techs so I think they should never be compaired in anything.

Both bitcoin and ethereum are stabilizing nowadays. Hoping that this stable situation would build a momentum for a bull run may be next year. Just believe in cryptocurrency world, in time the market will be red again.

There isn't much debate on these coins. Both coins are great and have a higher potential and a bright future. I buy both coins and I know their worth so I will go both bitcoin and Ethereum.
I don't know much about the coins, I just purchase both of them. Ithink that having Ethereum is not as big as having Bitcoin.

When viewed from the fluctuation of the market, it is better to hold BTC from now on, because there is the latest news from the results of being criticized by friends after they meet with big fendors, BTC will pump up to $ 20,000, the reason is that BTC is very difficult to find, and can't again mined.

There really isn't much of a debate, it is true that ethereum is very good and it has done a lot of good in the past but with bitcoin there is always better, there is a reason it remains the best and most valuable coin in the market and although ethereum seems to be chasing behind, there is no way that the coin will ever be better than bitcoin

If I become you, I will maintain it until the end of 2018. Currently BTC prices are in the price range of $ 6500, while ETH is at a price of $ 225. It is still like in the situation below, it is not impossible if later at the end of the year there will be ATH, like the end of 2017. At least I will still hope and survive, that's the best step in my opinion.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are designed for different spheres of activity, and they are the best, at the moment, in their direction. And my opinion is that they will live all the time as long as there is a crypto currency and no one will put them forward from the forefront, because Bitcoin is the beginning of the history of digital money in cryptography, it is the Foundation for absolutely all crypto — currencies that already exist and that will be, but Ethereum has given a new development

At the moment it seems to me that ETH looks more promising. And I have some arguments on this score, for example, recently the famous analyst Tom Lee made a forecast of $ 1,900 by the end of 2018 for 1 eth. Of course, many were skeptical of his statements, but he could well be insiders from the developers of Eth about the introduction of revolutionary technology after the Devcon4 exhibition, which will take place at the end of October. It is also worth mentioning that last year it was the Eth that organized the market rally, and not Bitcoin. And there is an interesting trend, recently on the main BitFinex crypto-exchange for about a week the volume of trading on ETH is much higher than the trades on the same Bitcoin, which indicates an increased interest in ETH. And as you know, heightened interest always leads to a price increase. That's why, in the near future it's on ETH that I expect a strong growth.

BTC is the AOL of cryptocurrencies. It was the first but it is failing to evolve. Every attempt made results in a hard fork and a smaller pool of adherants to the protocol. Eventually it will fade into irrelevance as it continues to lose market share. I personally sell every Bitcoin I get to buy more Ethereum. I can understand your desire to diversify your portfolio but spreading risk by holding BTC means that you will suffer slightly less losses to the downside but your sacrificing a lot of upside to get it.

I think you should invest in both of them as both of the cryptocurrencies have enormous potential to grow. Bitcoin, without any doubt is the most popular crypto is the most stable crypto available in the market. Ethereum on the other hand is the master of all smart contracts has one of the strongest development teams makes it a crypto worth investing. Investing in both of thems can help you earn high returns.

BTC is still king. There's already so much investment built around BTC that it has very much a life of its own. Any fall in price is immediately supported and bought by the people waiting in the sidelines to hold long term. LONG TERM. It has become an asset that people are willing to store like gold.

Thank you for the help!

I'll keep my current ration for the moment, but I'll check the market for any profitable movements Smiley

I don't think it's wise to ask such questions because half or replies will be pure speculation and the other will not be honest (people will promote the coin in which their own funds are) so I just warn you to take all opinions with giant grain of salt. You should be able to make your own decision.
Yes, I was aware, thanks for the advice Smiley

BTC and ETH are different coins. BTC , as we all known , it's the first and the most popular coin, it is the best trust by us. But I don't think it will be a currency because of this max limit. In another word, the ETH has another advantage , it’s smart contract. Maybe one day, ETH will be more popular than BTC. This is just my viewpoint.
Yes, I see the things in a similar view. Many startups create their tokens using the ETH blockchain, and some of them have real potential.

btc is always first choice for noobs! if you want to invest eth is better

In my opinion you need to invest more in BTC maybe 70% and 30 altcoins.

My basket looks right now exactly like that: 70% BTC - 30% ETH.
But anyway in my opinion in 2018 ETH have bigger potential to grow.
Everything will be more clear after implementing Segwit.. Then i will consider to move some source to ETH. Maybe it will be 50% - 50%

2. Ethereum doesn't have a supply cap, which may lead to inflation (I suppose)

This is main reason Ethereum is not worth its price.
There is no limit cap and constant bug flow causing monetary looses to people.
I would go 90% bitcoin and 10% for fun in alts if u need that adrenaline/thrill.

You could sell some eth and buy some more btc, but I would keep eth in my portfolio.

It's always advisable to split your investment, may I ask in what coins you invested the 20%?

The price of bitcoin is very high now, so I'd wait investing in it till it drops a little, because it will always go up again! Smiley

Bitcoin will always be the same, and your portfolio looks good, but if i was you, i would sell some of those Ethereums and invest that money on bitcoin, you know that if you have btc, you are going to get free bitcoingold on november, when the fork is happening.
So better to buy btc now that it is cheap, maybe it will be worth a lot more before the fork, because a lot of people are moving its alt's money to bitcoin.
