I went to log in and the wallet address does not exist [...]

I have the original transaction receipt and all and shows the coins in my wallet. Did btc.com make temp addresses or something.
If you're saying that the address wasn't there but you still have the balance in your wallet. It's because wallet.btc.com uses an HD wallet that is designed to (hierarchical deterministic) have multiple addresses one after another. This means that once you used the address to receive, another address will be generated automatically though you can manually generate it as well. You might not be able to see the used address(es) still, you can use it but that would compromise the purpose of the HD wallet for privacy reasons. You can see this address(es) as well on the wallet's transaction history.

Found them, logging in may be a different story. Thanks for the help .

If your friend is still having a problem accessing their funds, try to recover it using btc.com's recovery tool (https://help.btc.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003783333-How-do-I-recover-my-wallet-using-the-backup-PDF-). and yes they need their backup pdf for this. BTC.com forces their users to save the file so they probably have saved it. The problem is finding it (https://help.btc.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002937174-I-have-lost-my-backup-PDF-where-could-it-be-)

If the recovery tool weren't able to detect the mentioned address, then it is not from that account. They can contact the support and see if they can provide further confirmation/info.

There's nothing called temporary addresses. Once an address is created, that address can be used all the time as long as BTC chain exists. As above said, your address has tx too. So, you are fine.
You said your fund was visible in the wallet, then where's the wrong exactly? Can't you spend them?

You can check this address on block explorer. I can see there one unspent transaction of 0.00569600 BTC. Here is transaction hash. Means balance exists there and you can spend this amount if you own the private key of that address. Otherwise, you should have access to the wallet where you have registered.

The address does not even register on block explorer. Any ideas?
~Snipped~

The only place I see the address is at hashxp
If you meant it's not showing up, I just looked up on four block explorers and it came up just fine [e.g. blockchain.com, blockchair.com, btc.com and explorer.btc.com].

I put a few bitcoins in btc.com in 2018 and I went to log in and the wallet address does not exist.
I believe the only person that could potentially fix this issue is btc.com's support...

Hello,

Sorry I didn't see the replies. I don't want to waste too much of your time, but I was asking for a friend and as far as I can tell she doesn't have that much in the wallet or she has another one idk.

It seems btc.com moved a new address www.explorer.btc.com and the login for the wallet is www.wallet.btc.com. The address you used for the deposit doesn't exist there? What does mean the address isn't register on block explorer? All addresses should appear on the block explorer either it has been used or not. Make sure you deposit at the right address from your wallet inside. If you copy-paste the address from outside your wallet then the balance wouldn't appear in your account. Otherwise, there is no reason why your balance not appearing there. If you don't have a privacy issue, can you please share the address? Or check your address on another block explorer like Blockchair, so you may find all the transaction history.

are you saying your login credentials at https://wallet.btc.com/ work---but the wallet it decrypts is empty? are you unable to log in?

The address does not even register on block explorer. Any ideas? I have the original transaction receipt and all and shows the coins in my wallet. Did btc.com make temp addresses or something.

what do you mean by "original transaction receipt"?

how did you acquire the bitcoins originally---a bitcoin ATM or something? is that what you mean by "receipt", a paper receipt?

when you say the address doesn't register on a block explorer, can you specify what the first few characters of the address are? don't share the whole string yet, and definitely don't share anything that says "private key".
