Actually btc.com is not the one that ask you to pay higher, it's their recommended fee as all transactions now are becoming expensive. And if you have smaller amount of bitcoin on a wallet, better not to send it first, try to add some more balance before sending so that you will take the fee worth it.

as many already have said: Bitcoin transaction fees are calculated on a Satoshi/byte basis. More information can be found on our blog page here: https://blog.btc.com/ever-wonder-how-blockchain-transaction-fees-work-403a38b940da

also, for any support questions/issues please do send an email to [email protected], thanks.
This email of yours can't be used since no one reply to our messages !

And then if i have a transactions under 0.001 BTC (Il i accumulate them all i can have 0.05 BTC easily), how to spend them ?

moral of the story: DON'T accept small/dust sized payments... anything less than 0.001 is asking for trouble...

I think this is one of the reasons why altcoins have gained in popularity in the last year.
Microtransactions using Bitcoin have become unfeasible since roughly a year due
to the full blocks and the rise in transaction fees.

Several use cases like tip-bots, faucets, micropayments or small donations nowadays can
only be realized using coins with lower transaction fees.

I have many addresses on my wallet that contain differents amounts: 0.0001, 0.001, 0.002, 0.03 etc ...
But is not a reason to pay higher than my balance !!!! I don't believe this !
That is exactly the reason for paying a fee higher than your balance.

Bitcoin transaction fees are calculated on a Satoshi/byte basis... so the larger  the data size of your transaction, the more you need to pay in total fee... transaction size is mostly dependent on the number of inputs (each input is at least 148 bytes) and, to a lesser extent, the number of outputs (34 bytes per output)...

a "standard" transaction, (1 input, 2 outputs) is around 226 bytes... if you have 10 inputs, your transaction blows out to 1554 bytes... so if you have a bunch of tiny amounts and need several of them to make up to 0.01 btc, your transaction gets big, takes up more space in a space limited block and therefore costs you more...

moral of the story: DON'T accept small/dust sized payments... anything less than 0.001 is asking for trouble...

Hello,

I already contacted the support up to one week without answer !

Hope one of their agent can solve the problem from here !

1 of my transaction stay unconfirmed for 4 days now.

There other users claimed to have the same exact issue here.

How much are you being asked to pay in transaction fees? if it is something outrageous such as 0.1 BTC then it should be raised with BTC.com because that kind of fees wouldn't even be needed if you had 50 inputs.

However, if it was something like 0.005 BTC whilst your balance was only 0.004 BTC, then this is normal. The mempool is severely congested right now and to get any sort of confirmations on your transaction you have to expect to pay around 450 sats/b, and depending on the amount of inputs and outputs it could potentially even go over 0.01 BTC.

I'll help to raise and reiterate this issue with NeutralLTC and hope he responds.
Hi,
No there no option for that !
You can choose LOW PRIORITY FEES or let Blocktrail calculate the fees for you, but you must know that the fees calculated from Blocktrail are really high !!! sometimes they are same as the transaction it self ! For example you send 0.002 BTC, they ask for 0.002 BTC of fees.

But my problem is not that actually, since blocktrail do not process any of my transactions !

When i try to make any transaction (With LOW PRIORITY FEES OR BLOCKTRAIL CALCULATION), i have a message at the bottom that say:

Code:
Failed
Wallet balance too low to pay the fee [239210]

And this fees are x2 my actual balance !

I have many addresses on my wallet that contain differents amounts: 0.0001, 0.001, 0.002, 0.03 etc ...

But is not a reason to pay higher than my balance !!!! I don't believe this !

One thing else, they don't have support ! No answer, nothing from up to one week ! And was a merchant for up to 1 year now with them.

I want know if there an option to export my private keys from their service and spend them from another application ?

Just for info: I tried to se their accelerator to speed up my transaction, but the fees to pay same, double of my transaction ... So i used viaBtc and solved the problem of my transaction.

As far as I understand your query, you have the same problem with these two (mombay and streamplus here). Mombay wants to withdraw 0.1 BTC & asked to pay 0.2 BTC as fee while streamplus tried to withdraw 0.08 BTC & asked to pay more than 0.09 as fee, that's not fair imo, too high. Anyway, they sought help in BTC.COM thread, but neutralLTC doesn't have any reply yet. I think you should ask directly in the thread or neutralLTC as well knowing that it's not only you who are experiencing this problem.

PM the forum representative on bitcointalk(who is neutralLTC, i think). He is active everyday basically answering questions on behalf of btc.com and specialises in their wallet services if i remember correctly.

So what exactly is your problem? You've stated two. One is that your total transaction fees add up to more than your account balance. Two is that one of your confirmations is unconfirmed for 4 days.

If these are the only problems that you've got then it shouldn't even be btc.com's problem. You or whoever sent the transaction paid too low of a fee, and miners aren't interested in mining your transaction. Try to speed up the process by getting someone to accelerate the tx for you. As for the transaction fee being higher than balance, that's just how it is right now. Nothing you can do about that, unless you can set your own custom fee which i don't think btc.com allows you to do.

Would you mind posting some screenshots so we know what is going on here?

The other person in this subforum is having a completely different problem that you are having. His problem is that all his transactions suddenly disappeared and he can no longer access his balance. From what i can tell, you are still able to access your balance, it's just that you're asked to pay transaction fees that are higher than your actual balance.

This isn't btc.com's fault. This is probably because of the number of inputs you have to your address, that led to the high amount of fees. This is not rare at all, you just need to send more btc in order to send the previous bitcoins, or if the amount is low then there is really no need to bother at all.

Is your balance made up of a whole bunch of tiny payments? If so, that will be why the fees are so high... the more inputs you have, the larger your transaction becomes. Fees are calculated on a sats/byte or btc/kB basis... so the larger your transaction size, the larger the fee...

Due to the recent spike in the number of transactions and the resulting increase in fees (https://bitcoinfees.21.co/), you're looking at something like 60-70,000 sats PER INPUT!!?! Shocked

Simple math dictates that 10 inputs = a fee of 0.006 to 0.007 BTC

I'm looking for free spin.
You should follow the default fee in order to received your bitcoin fast.. if you are paying a low fee expect that your transaction will longer time to received your bitcoin just always check this site for the default fee https://bitcoinfees.21.co/
And use so that you don't experience too delayed transaction..
Try to send your TXID here pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/
And maybe it can help you to accelerate your transaction or hire some miners to confirm your transaction..

Tahnk you for the answre, but my main problem now is not the unconfirmed transactions.

My coins are hold by BTC.COM, i can't send nothing from my balance ! even a cent, everytime they say the fees to pay are x2 or x3 my actual balance.

I suspect that the problem is not really caused by BTC.com.
It is more probable that you are suffering from the overall congestion of the BTC
network right now, which is caused by the switch of more than 40 % of hashrate
to the currently more profitable BCH chain.

The situation should get better in a few hours when the difficulty of Bitcoin Cash
gets readjusted and the miners will once again make more profit mining the BTC
mainchain Wink

You can monitor the congestion in various ways, I like to use the following website, which tracks
the amount of unconfirmed transactions:
https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions
