Greetings all, well with this news I wonder if one can deny that the domain name industry has also surged as a result of the invention of crypto currency.

Last week ETH.COM sold for 2M.

Back in 2014 is when BTC.COM last sold for 1.1M.

I am a bitcoin noob, but I have been in hosting / domains for quite some time now.

What is the reason ETH.COM sold for more than BTC.COM, it is not only because of the time difference (2+yrs apart), nor because ETH may eventually become a superior tech, maybe a combination of factors, or maybe because Bitcoin and all of it's "children" have expanded the market so much that the value of everything associated is on the up and up. What do you guys think?

Each day some domains expire that are worth much more than the cost to register them, it's just a matter of taking the time to find the gems.

I have been reading a lot about bitcoin economy and many wonder what to invest bitcoin in? I can tell you I have exactly 0 bitcoins right now, I don't even have a satoshi! haha but if I was one of you lucky bitcoin pioneers, I would take time to look into domain names. There will be 21 million BTC in the world eventually but there will still only be one BTC.COM Smiley

I wonder, do any exchanges exist yet where you can trade domains and bitcoins?

We live in very exciting times my friends, have a great day!
