You can have a look at our stats page to see the returns that are possible: https://btcjam.com/stats

How is the "total investor return" stat calculated?
I can see the investor return for A-rating bitcoin loans is 29%, so is it that the lenders can get 29% profit on average from each of the A-rating loan?

If you invested in all the loans since Jan 1st 2014 that were A rated, you would have made 29% ROI on your money (that is of course only on the money that was due until today, parts of those are still outstanding)

does that also include all the a rated scammers, or just the ones that paid back their loans?

The returns shown here are net of defaults. So even if someone is 1 day late, the calculation will show this as a 'loss'

Good site, got some payouts already. Good design and some experienced users on there. Make sure to diversify and be cautious.

i was looking at BTC jam site butmy question is.. how secure it is?
what secures me from guy tht i lend money to pay me back
what secures me from btcjam going ponzi

please help as i cant find much info on this

Hi forzendiablo

I can assure you that we are not a ponzi scheme. And while we can not guarantee that each individual borrower will pay back, our repayment rates are 87% and if you diversify well you should be able to create a great return. You can have a look at our stats page to see the returns that are possible: https://btcjam.com/stats

I strongly recommend diversifying into 50+ different loans to avoid being pulled down by any individual user.
Here are recommended ways to invest on the platform: http://blog.btcjam.com/post/75934926878/the-3-rules-of-peer-to-peer-lending-for-investors

And here's a 1 hour video of me explaining the platform and how to use it:

let me know if you have any further questions
